I love this OBGYN you get everything done in one office (phlebotomy, OBGYN, and ultrasound) I've been going here since my first so over 8 plus years all the providers are nice but my main one dr.Gier is the best. The front office staff is sweet and they pretty much know me by name. Only down side is that it does take a month or so to see my own dr but that's pretty much expected for any dr office. read more

If I could give this office negative stars, I would. I have never experienced such a complete failure of patient care. Let's start with the timeline. I waited six weeks just to get an appointment, another week to have the ultrasound, and it has now been more than three weeks since the ultrasound was completed. During that entire time, I have received zero proactive communication from this office. Not one phone call. Not one portal message. Not one update. Every single contact has been initiated by me. Every week I call, I get the same canned response: "The doctor hasn't reviewed your ultrasound yet." Apparently, an ultrasound ordered because of severe pain and abnormal bleeding can simply sit for weeks while the patient is left to suffer. I was told the office manager would call me. That never happened. Just another empty promise from a practice that seems completely incapable of following through on even the most basic aspects of patient care. Meanwhile, I am living with horrific daily abdominal pain, heavy bleeding, and irregular menstrual cycles. Their solution while they let my ultrasound collect dust? A muscle relaxer. Not an answer. Not a diagnosis. Not an expedited review. Just a muscle relaxer that does absolutely nothing to address the reason I'm in pain. To make matters worse, I developed a swollen lump near my lymph node while waiting for someone to review my ultrasound. When I brought it to their attention, I was essentially told it wasn't their problem because it wasn't on my breast and that I should see my primary care physician instead. My primary care physician can't move forward because we are still waiting on the very ultrasound results this office refuses to review. So here I am--stuck in medical limbo because the one office responsible for my care can't be bothered to do theirs. I have a documented family history of cervical, uterine, and ovarian cancers. Whether my ultrasound ultimately shows something serious or not is almost beside the point. No patient should spend weeks wondering if they have cancer while repeatedly begging a medical office to review a test that has already been completed. The emotional toll of this experience has been overwhelming. I am not just frustrated--I am scared. Every day that passes without answers is another day spent wondering whether something serious is being missed while this office does absolutely nothing. This isn't simply poor customer service. This is a complete breakdown in communication, accountability, and basic patient care. A medical practice should never leave patients chasing their own results, making repeated phone calls that go nowhere, receiving broken promises from management, and suffering without a plan while everyone shrugs and says, "The doctor hasn't reviewed it." If this is how they treat a patient with severe symptoms who is actively calling for help, I can't imagine how many other people have been left waiting and wondering. I would not trust this office with my healthcare again, and I strongly encourage anyone considering becoming a patient here to ask themselves one question: If you were in severe pain and worried you might have a serious gynecologic condition, would you want your ultrasound sitting unreviewed for more than three weeks while no one from the office even bothers to call you back? I had an appointment scheduled for a small issue that needed to be taken care of in a timely manner. Ok appointment set. My work scheduled a meeting that I could not not attend. Ok. Call and reschedule my appointment for one week later using their STUPID Ai system. Ok Np. Call back a week before appointment to see if they had and cancel see if maybe could get in early. Woman on the phone tells me no. And not only no but the appointment that I have in 7 days will not work because it's not ten min longer. Sched for insertion not replacement. I said well that is not my problem that their computer scheduled me wrong it's literally their system. Makes me reschedule for another 3 weeks out. Mind you something expires soon. Then two days ago I received a VM saying that the provider changed their schedule and need to change out to further date. This is absolutely unacceptable and when I brought up to the scheduling nurse she had about as much care to help as a lizzard would. Asked for a call back from office manger and had heard nothing. Unfortunately, my experience with this OB office has been disappointing. Throughout my pregnancy, my appointments have felt rushed, and I rarely see the same provider twice. It's been difficult to build a relationship with anyone or feel like I'm receiving personalized care. Another frustration has been trying to get help through the patient portal. Whenever I've reached out with concerns or questions, I was often told to go to the ER instead of receiving guidance from the office. It makes me wonder what the purpose of contacting my OB is if the response is almost always to go to the hospital. As a patient, I expected more support and communication from the team. I was also disappointed by the limited use of ultrasounds during my pregnancy. I still don't have an estimate of my baby's weight because each visit mainly consisted of measuring my belly with a tape measure. I understand that fundal height measurements are a standard part of prenatal care, but I expected more information about my baby's growth, especially when many other expecting mothers receive additional ultrasounds when medically appropriate. I often left appointments with more questions than answers. Overall, I never felt like my care was personalized or that the providers took the time to truly get to know me as a patient. Pregnancy is a time when reassurance, communication, and trust are incredibly important, and unfortunately, I didn't feel I received that level of care. read more

If I could I would give this place a 0 star review and wouldn't recommend anyone to come here and be treated the way my wife and I were treated. The front staff is very rude and unprofessional. Arguing with a pregnant women wow real classy. Got checked in within the time window given. Then urine sample given just to be told we need to leave and we need to reschedule. Front staff told us the medical history need to be completed and turned in by a certain time not the urine sample. When calling and speaking with office manager she began to argue to when confronted with the issue and catching her in a lie not once but twice and then began to argue with me. Looks like I'm not the only 1 star review given about the staff here. I will never return to this location. I really hope with there other patients that they are respectful. Can't believe you guys would argue with pregnant women. Only way to improve this place is to fire the front office and manager of that place and maybe they might get some better reviews. read more

I had the worst experience with the front desk customer service at this office; they are very unprofessional. I requested a copy of my lab orders, which I had completed that morning. The front desk staff asked me for the reason for my request, and when I told her it was to provide to my primary doctor, she inquired about the name of the clinic or doctor. This felt like a HIPAA violation--asking me personal questions that were not relevant to her, especially since others could overhear the conversation. I was clear about what I needed. They asked me to provide a urine sample, and when I opened the box to place my sample inside, I saw five other urine samples. It was the most disgusting thing I have ever encountered. Additionally, the waiting rooms were dirty. There were two people ahead of me for their appointments, and one woman was mistakenly checked out even though she hadn't been seen. I was late to my second appointment by just one minute past the grace period. The receptionist suggested I reschedule and come back a whole month later, which was the next available appointment. I explained that I couldn't wait that long, and I was told she would call me back if an opening became available. An hour passed, and I hadn't received a call, so I checked with the second receptionist. She informed me that there was an opening in 30 minutes, so I took it. Ultimately, I spent two hours in the office overall. This was only my second visit to this office, and it's my first pregnancy. The only positive aspect of my experience was the sweet lady who performed my first ultrasound during my initial visit. Dr. Suarez was also very nice and welcoming during my second visit. However, I will definitely not be returning and am glad I found a better office. read more

I got my nexplanon implanted here and I've been trying to get it out since December 2025. It is still not out. These workers have showed me no compassion and have cancelled on me 3 times already after having to wait a month just to get an appointment. My birth control has been effecting my mood and mental health which is why I wanted to change it but it feels like this office is doing everything to stop me from getting it taken out. My first appointment for a new birth control was back in January. I still have not got what I wanted and I'm at the point of finding a new doctor's office completely. It should not take 4+ months to change out someone's birth control who has completed decided on that decision. I was very disappointed in the attitude and quality of medical services provided by Nurse Practitioner, Emily Benner. She acted as if I was wasting her time. When I asked her about a painful rash, she glanced at it from across the room and diagnosed a yeast infection and prescribed Nystatin. A week later, the rash was three times the original size. If she had taken the time to examine the rash, Emily would have noticed blisters and diagnosed Shingles, which my PCP correctly did a week later. Emily delayed the correct treatment and healing process, causing me significant pain. read more

I explained I had severe abdominal pain and front desk ignored it and said "like I said you can reschedule for our next availability.." no compassion or empathy from these people. The other women didn't even try to advocate either. There were traffic jams everywhere due to flooding which was the reason I was late! I gave this place 5 stars in the past because of my doctor but I decided to change my review because of the front desk staff. I've been a patient for 4 years now and I've had a lot of medical issues which means, I have to be seen a lot. The front desk girls, always have an attitude when they see me, I don't know if they are like that with everyone or with me because I have to be seen often. Billing and front desk-- I really don't understand why either of these girls work in the line of business they work in especially because you're helping or supposed to be helping pregnant women all day long. Do not trust Dr. Suarez's judgement. I was his patient and mistakenly trusted him. I was high risk due to velamentous cord insertion, so I was going across the street to MFM. The ultrasound tech accidentally told me I was going to be induced at 39 weeks, at the time I was only 37 weeks. I sent a message through the patient portal and no one ever responded to me. The MFM specialist recommended an induction at 39 weeks due to being high risk one month before accidentally being told I was going to be induced. In the whole month prior to this happening, I was seen in office several times. NO ONE told me about this. My water broke at 38 weeks causing my child to pass. When I was told I was high risk by Dr.Suarez, he failed to mention that this was a possibility. He explained to me that I was high risk mainly due to other health issues, but I asked if my baby was going to be okay and he said yes. This is not the worst part. At the hospital he confirmed there was no heartbeat. Not only was he cold when telling us the news, he NEVER went back to check on me. He never went into the room to see how I was doing after telling us our baby passed away. I think this is because he knows he messed up. The survival rate of velamentous cord insertion is 97-99% with appropriate monitoring... well this is where he failed!!! I was stupid to think I can trust him but who can blame me? I only saw good reviews, so I did not think twice about him handling my care. I am writing this review in leu of suing for medical malpractice! If you want a compassionate and professional doctor, see Dr. Geier. She delivered my baby and has been such an amazing and caring health care provider. I can tell she *ACTUALLY* cares about me and my care. She was paying attention to the monitors and even ran extra lab work to make sure I was okay since my heart rate was too high. Take notes Dr.Suarez! You definitely need to a learn a thing or two from your colleagues. Maybe this way your bedside manner and knowledge of VI might improve! The only reason I come back to this place is for Dr.Geier. She is the only OB I feel like I can trust and won't let me down. read more

Be cautious. I was denied care after following staff instructions to provide a urine sample, then told I "took too long" in the restroom (4 minutes) and had to reschedule. No one mentioned a time limit. The front desk was entirely responsible for how this was handled, including loudly repeating the reason for my visit in a full waiting room. I've filed a formal HIPAA complaint. Patients deserve respectful, private care. I do recommend asking questions ahead of time and paying close attention to how personal information is managed here. read more

Worst OB place I've ever been. I had an appointment today at 11am, showed up at 1040 with my 4 year old because this week is his school spring break, which is why I set the appointment this week since I was already using PTO from work. Got there and the rude people at the front desk kept insisting my VA insurance was somehow ineligible as of today. Even though they got my referral and everything from the VA last month and there was no issues. How was I an eligible veteran last month and then now all of a sudden I'm not? I told them I have all the VA reference info along with my VA ID number and social security number and clearly they didn't know what they were doing. They were rude, no help, and had bad attitudes. They told me I have to call and talk to the insurance. I said no you have everything you need so it's something on your end so you call. The girl rolled her eyes and was annoyed she had to call to get the information from the VA. After ten minutes she called me back to the front to tell me that she couldn't reach anyone on the phone and now it's 1110 so they won't keep my appointment that was scheduled. I told her that's outrageous since I'd been there since 1040 and the delay was because they can't figure out how to run VA insurance. She told me I can self pay and need to reschedule. I'll never be back and never recommend this place! This was supposed to be my first ultrasound and now I haven't gotten to see the baby and they haven't addressed any concerns I have with my pregnancy. Obviously they don't care about women or pregnancy and if anything happens to my baby I'll be sure to sue them because they blew me off instead of making sure me and my baby were okay, especially when most miscarriages happen in the first trimester! read more

I'm only giving 3 stars because, while the providers themselves are amazing, the front desk experience leaves much to be desired. I have been seen by Dr. Suarez, who delivered my first child, as well as Dr. Geier and Semone on multiple occasions. These ladies are incredible, going above and beyond to answer questions and calm nerves. Dr. Suarez is exceptionally skilled and compassionate, ensuring a smooth delivery and providing thorough postnatal care. Dr. Geier and Semone are equally outstanding, offering personalized attention, detailed explanations, and genuine empathy during each visit. They make every effort to ensure you feel comfortable and informed. The only reason I returned for my second pregnancy is the outstanding care from the providers. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said for the front desk staff, whose service has been consistently disappointing. read more

I can't speak on the doctors, but the front desk and their procedures weren't the best. I'm writing this as I'm sitting in my car crying. I had an appointment at 2pm. I'm usually on time but I lost my wallet. with everything in it. I get here right at 2 pm. i tell the lady about my situation. which doesnt seem like a problem. but it's the do payment situation. I don't have my cards but I ask if they have Apple Pay or tap or something. she says no. while the machine they use has the little tap picture indicating there's a tap. she asks for a picture of my card and I find some but didn't go thru. I'm TRYING. she tells me I have till 2:10. I walk up the window at again at 2:09 to give her a different picture, she hangs up on the phone and tells me I'm too late. so they had to reschedule. once it's 2:10 the system doesn't accept the patient. she goes on to explain basically she can reschedule me with a nurse practitioner but not a mid wife because they're short staff. I get being late to your appt. but as a new patient, as someone trying to get hope to being able to conceive, and having my purse lost, and seeing how this lady didnt even try to help at all. no sympathy. nothing. from having a bad day to worse with this sucks. and yeah, it's not their job to make people feel better but damn. read more

Nurses were great, blood drawers were awesome. However, the communication between everyone was horrible! Like they didn't keep notes on patients so that everyone could be on the same page. I got a bill with a doctors name on it I was never seen by, I had a miscarriage confirmed by the office, and the next week I was getting calls asking about weight gain and how I was feeling having to relive the miscarriage since I needed to explain I no longer had the baby. No follow up since the MC, never heard from anyone. I will be going elsewhere for my Rangel baby pregnancy. read more

It was my first visit here and of course who the heck wants to come for a woman's well exam? To say the least I wasn't looking forward to it However my visit was great so I felt the need to yelp it. The front staff was pleasant, they have they seats marked to enforce social distancing and masks are enforced. Between 4 kids and moving around frequently, I've had prenatal care from about 5 different doctors at 5 different locations. West Valley Women's was by far the worst. They clearly do not care about their patients here. First bad experience - I've had over 100 blood draws done in my life because I have to have my progesterone levels checked weekly during pregnancy and the nurse who drew my blood here blew my veins out so bad that it left a bruise on my arm for over a month. I've never had this happened ever before. On another occasion I got stuck on I-10 behind an accident and called 10 minutes before my appointment time to let them know I was going to be late. They said they would give me a 10 minute grace period and when I showed up 9 minutes late they refused to see me. The staff is very cold and seems to not care very much about their patients. I switched prenatal care after these experiences and wish I would have sooner. Not only would I never recommend West Valley Womens, I would go out of my way to advise anyone to find prenatal care elsewhere. read more

Front desk administrators need better training. The girls are rude at check in, check out and just all around. They continue to make comments like "these phones need to stop ringing" "why can't people stop calling" "isn't their other offices" and my favorite one "I can't book you, I'll call you when I can find an appointment for you" (never calls back). They blame the "new system". Getting a weekly appointment is almost impossible. The medical assistants and Doctors definitely make up for there incompetence because I honestly would have left this office along time ago. Staff was wonderful throughout my whole pregnancy. Addressed any concerns and were helpful over the phone. During my time I saw a few different doctors and nurse practitioners. Dr. Cari Cowling, Dr. Heather Andrews, Nurses Micki & Tori. They were wonderful! Dr. Geier was my main doctor and I loved her. I wasn't the biggest fan of Dr. Johnson, his bedside manner wasn't the best. But I only saw him twice. I would recommend this place to everyone and especially since they deliver at banner estrella! I have really bad doctor anxiety. And the staff didn't make me feel weird about it at all. In fact, while getting my implant, they made jokes with me and dealt with my goofiness to help levitate my anxiety. I got through the process really fast and was in and out in less than 20min. The process of checking in through your phone is a million times better than the old paper method. And the consistent reminders of the appointment kept me on track. You don't have to pay upfront immediately, in fact they allow you to wait as long as you need to before paying, and you can do it all online. read more

While I was 39 weeks pregnant, my toddler and I were in a horrible car accident and were rushed to the closest Trauma Center, Banner Thunderbird Medical Center. Unfortunately, I would have been in better hands giving birth along side the road, with untrained bystanders, than at the hands of Dr. Valencia Stephens. From the second I was wheeled into HER Trauma Bay, until she left my delivery room, I was victimized, assaulted, and treated with total disregard to my health, safety, and mental well being. The complete story is extremely long and detailed, but I will happily share it with anyone who asks. In the meantime, if I can help just one woman choose a different OB and a different hospital, then sharing my own personal nightmare will be worth it. The highlights: The amount of time that passed between an airbag and seat belt impacting my belly and when an ultrasound was finally performed was grossly unacceptable. No one could tell me if my baby was OK. Lab work came back before an ultrasound was even performed. Dr. Stephens was cold and lacked empathy. My antepartum nurse Julie was the epitome of how nurses should treat their patients and a rarity at Banner Thunderbird. She performed the ONLY cervical check I consented to. In my birthing suite, I reiterated to every nurse and to Dr. Stephens that I DID NOT consent to any internal exams, but did consent to visual checks to monitor for placental abruption. I would have written it on the dry erase board, but there was only a sticky note on the wall indicating where one should be placed. This is when Dr. Stephens went from a complete lack of empathy to seeming quite annoyed that she even has to be present for the birth of my child. She demand I lay on my back which is not an ideal position for childbirth, threatened the fact she may not be able to "catch the baby" and asked if I was "OK with letting him drop 14 inches to the bed". Mind you, birthing on hands and knees is the most common position in the world to deliver in. I asked multiple times for a new doctor but was refused. But hey, she doesn't get paid if someone else comes in. While Dr. Stephens sat 3 feet from me, offering no emotional support, only criticism and threats, she stated I needed to be taken back for an emergency cesarean. Thankfully I'm well versed in the symptoms of a placental abruption and with verification from the nurses that neither the vitals of my baby or myself had changed, and I wasn't experiencing any bleeding, I told her no, so she let out a deep sigh and sat back down. Within moments, she stood up and quickly inserted half her hand into my vagina and performed a cervical check. I screamed repeatedly out of both pain and terror, demanding her to stop touching me. She did not. My husband yelled for her to stop, he yelled for others to make her stop. I believe she was trying to force bleeding to confirm her lie of a placental abruption and she liked the power she had over me. She stole my power, she stole my voice, she stole my rights, and she violated me against my will. By definition, she committed medical rape. I instantly became her victim. I laid there, on my belly crying, trying to quickly erase the horror of what just happened to me. At no point, did a nurse speak up. She still wouldn't leave the room. Like most, I pooped during transition. But, instead of a quick clean up. She refused and wouldn't allow any of the nurses to clean up after me. I could feel it, I could smell it, and despite me asking multiple times for help, I was informed that it will be cleaned up after I deliver, not during. It was unsanitary and inhumane. When the baby started to crown, the most painful part of labor, I was once again assaulted by Dr. Stephens when she placed BOTH HANDS inside of my vagina .My husband and I again screamed repeatedly for her to stop. I said no, and NO MEANS NO, even if you are my doctor. I went through Hell and couldn't even hold my baby because she couldn't be bothered to clean up the area beneath me or allow anyone else to do it. This continued until after I delivered my placenta which had its own set of issues. We told every single nurse and doctor who was in charge of my care what happened, I wrote to Banner Thunderbird and the practice Dr. Stephens works for, West Valley Women's Care. I did receive a call from a very sweet lady from patient relations and a generic letter stating they are sorry my expectations weren't met. Of course they weren't met, your doctor assaulted me and I didn't even get a real apology. I've heard nothing from her medical practice. Don't deliver at Banner Thunderbird. Don't become a patient of West Valley Women's Care. And most importantly, don't entrust your life and your child's life to Dr. Valencia Stephens. read more

I'll start with office staff, everyone was polite and scheduling and checking in for my appointment was easy. However, Dr Geier and her medical assistant are AMAZING. Literally amazing. The MA took her time and listened to me, she communicated with Dr Geier so I wasn't repeating information! Love! Dr. Geier listened to my concerns, she didn't dismiss them as "weight related". Anyone who is over weight has heard this from medical professionals when we have an issue. She took time to go over birth control solutions as well as talked through other conditions I was concerned about. Dr.Fernandez pressured me into getting the flu and Tdap when I was pregnant and failed to tell me that those vaccines have never been tested on pregnant women, and that there is a chance I can have a miscarriage following those vaccines!!! How about you give women the actual vaccine inserts to read and let us decide instead of scaring us into doing it! It says it on the package insert NOT TESTED ON PREGNANT WOMEN!!! I do not recommend her or this clinic to anyone. Just selfish and clearly doesn't care about the well being of patients and their unborn babies. read more

I was seen here throughout my entire pregnancy. Dr. Andrews was my doctor. She is AWESOME! She was professional but very friendly and made me feel comfortable. She and the staff moved quickly when she suspected complications towards the end of my pregnancy . Had blood work and testing done the same day they saw that my blood pressure was high. Fast forward to post delivery, where I had life threatening complications, Dr. Andrews literally saved my life. Couldn't be happier that I went with this doctor. She gets a million stars! The 4 stars I'm giving the office as a whole is only because of the front office/scheduling. I had some issues with appointments not being on the actual schedule after checking out and receiving a card with the said scheduled appointment date and time. Since they were recently bought out, the front office staff has become sloppy and rude. My daughters and I have been patients there for 10+ years and if you can get past the front office, you will love the providers! read more

Extremely rude staff, my wife called after hours without knowing they had closed. Instead of not answering the phone or answering to tell her that they're closed, they proceeded to get frustrated with my wife as she tried to make sure everything was okay on her end prior to her appointment. In my opinion, simply do not pick up the phone after hours unless you are completely willing and capable to provide good customer service. This was a deciding factor in choosing to go somewhere else for my wife's pregnancy, which is a huge bummer because we've heard so many good things about this place. It upsets me that the people who pick up the phones and represent the company are the ones who ruined our experience with West Valley Woman's Care. read more
