I work throughout the tri-state area and have trained at many different gyms over the years, so I…read morefeel comfortable saying I have a solid point of comparison. The main reason I initially signed up here was convenience, and for that, it does serve its purpose. That said, I was genuinely surprised by how much this gym is lacking, especially considering it's located in Westchester and in an otherwise very nice town. For the price and location, I expected better upkeep, more updated equipment, and a higher overall standard. Some aspects feel overlooked, which is disappointing given the potential this space has. What stands out the most is that this gym could be great. The layout, location, and accessibility are all there -- it just needs more attention, investment, and consistency to match what you'd expect from a gym in this area. With a few improvements, this could easily become a standout spot rather than one people choose only for convenience.

Great Sign-Up, but Billing and Collections Nightmare…read more I joined Snap Fitness Tarrytown in ENDING of December 2024. Eric the owner was great, so I gave it a chance--even though coworkers and others warned me about billing problems and said the gym "seemed off." I stopped attending due to a high-risk pregnancy and informed them my card was stolen (replaced via Chase). Somehow, they still charged my account, likely using old routing info. When I tried to check my account, pay balances, and reactivate, I got vague, dismissive, and rude responses like: "Your account was sent to collections in February for non-payment." "We sent many emails...no record of your card being compromised." They ignored my questions about charges in June and July 2025 after being told my account was sent to collections in February of 2025, account history, collection details, and even who I was even speaking to once I asked for a name they stopped responding. Eventually, they gave the collection agency info--but even the agency was confused why I was being charged nearly $400 when my monthly membership was ~$40, especially if it supposedly went to collections after two months. Snap Fitness' billing and customer service are unprofessional, evasive, and frustrating. If you join, get everything in writing and watch your statements carefully!!

Noted on their website under FAQ: "Classes can be attended by people of all levels. Each client has…read moretheir own machine and can modify each exercise to suit there current physical fitness level. " The business is clearly not living up to what is stated on their marketing material... In summary, the business asked us, via email, if we were going to buy more classes, to stop doing advanced modifications. When we respectfully explained our intentions, we did not receive a response. When I wrote to kindly request a refund on my last 3 classes, no longer feeling welcomed in the studio, the business refused, citing a policy of non-refundable classes. I was requesting an $81 refund, after we spent $1080 and then requested to stop working out to the best of our abilities and the business refused. My largest complaint is the METHOD chosen to interact and address concerns with its clients. Instead of speaking to us after class, or asking to understand why we may modify, we are sent an email asking us to stop or do not come back, and then refused a refund for my last classes. __________________________ The business continues to avoid response to my refund request after their email. A cold response regarding the non refundable policy is provided below. June 30 - Our follow up response After reflecting on this note, I truly do not feel like a "valued" client. We would of gladly had a constructive discussion in person if you had concerns, and provide our feedback with the best intentions to meet both our personal workout goals and in the best interest of the studio. While my husband has completed his 20 pack, I have 3 classes remaining. I no longer feel welcome to challenge myself at Method, and would kindly request a refund on these classes. I believe we paid $27/class on this package. Please remove me from the classes and refund my credit card for $81. June 30 - Response from business I am sorry you feel that way. As it states in our policy, which you have signed, all sales are final. Classes are non-refundable, exchangeable or transferable. Hopefully you will use your remaining classes. July 1 - Our response Your first email indicated to us that other clients choose not to be inspired and make progress with their workouts, instead they rather plateau and complain at other clients who work hard, and you prefer we scale down our level of athleticism to be on par with them. You have asked us to strictly follow an unchallenging routine with no modifications provided by the trainers, which is completely demotivating for us as athletes and supporters of Lagree method. Our modifications worked the same muscle groups targeted by the trainer, but are simply more advanced and gave us extra challenge. You stated you value clients, but after asking us to scale down or don't come back, I do not feel valued and choose not to return, and have simply requested a refund on my last 3 classes, which you have denied. We had no negative feelings against Method, but this very poor customer service and response is plainly bad business. There are so many other roads you could have taken to resolve this issue with your customers in a positive way. Is creating two very negative customer experiences in Irvington/Westchester really worth the $81 to refund me and put this issue to bed? [No Refund and No Response from Business]

SLT is a similar workout, which has a bit more cardio, so I feel like you burn more calories there, but if you're on this side of the county, this is definitely a great spot!

They obviously Googled me to discover I had enough money for them to target me. I was just so excited to be returning to working out that I paid the $2,500 they asked me for.....Besides the $2,500, I also paid $100.00 for the 2 weekly private workout sessions.....I happened to love the classes and after the first three months, I was asked for another $2,500 to cover the next 3 months....I paid, but I finally came to my senses and asked what the heck I was paying for..... THERE WAS NO ANSWER, JUST BLANK STARES!!!!! I GOT ABSOLUTELY NOTHING FOR THE $5,000 I PAID!!!! I am ashamed for allowing myself to be ripped off, but I am sharing this so those reading this will be made aware.... I think the classes are 20 or 25 dollars and they are worth it..... The private sessions are just not so good..... JUST DO NOT ALLOW YOURSELVES TO BE THEIR TARGET!!!!!

Times are very convenient for a working parent (6 days a week - early morning, mid morning, Sundays). Classes are about $12 each - sometimes less if you buy a special. The instructor does a great job in keeping you motivated and pushes you without embarrassing you. She changes up the work outs so you never feel bored and the most important part of all is I've seen great results in my body. You can for an additional cost get a strap for your body that tracks your calorie burn - amazing motivator! In addition to these "cross fit" style classes she also offers spin classes and diet/weight loss/clean living challenges.
