Smaller and more intimate setting, which I truly appreciate. The class descriptions are detailed. I came in for exactly what I wanted. Instructor gave modifications and gave insight on what body part this workout was using. I checked in at the front desk, very smooth check in. The facility is one large room. There are 2 restroom. The first meeting he was 5 mins late bc a neighbor needed a jump. No big deal, didn't think much of it. The next week he said he had to give my son's apt away bc one of his trainers quit. He changed the apt 4 times, ultimately I asked him to train the two of them together, so my son could keep the apt. After that, he continued to call and text at least 10 plus times per apt saying Sundays are hard for him, can we move it to Saturdays etc. He insisted he could not confirm the Sunday time until Sunday morning, so we had to hold the whole day aside until we heard from him. He clearly doesn't understand that in good business, you try to accommodate the customer. He had absolutely no respect for our time. I am a single mother and I work on the weekends, so this kind of crazy making completely stressed me out. I called him on it and he dropped us. He gave me the rest of my money back, but I am still trying to get a refund from Astral Fitness, the gym he required us to join in order to train with him. We have switched to Westchester Boxing Gym which is $100 per hour (no extra gym fee), which turns out is the going rate. Joe was $25 per session. I can only guess that Joe has to over book himself to survive on such low rates and in doing so, becomes overwhelmed and pleases no one. It had occurred to me to offer Joe $50 per session if he could keep to a schedule, but I didn't want to be jerked around at a higher rate and be even more disappointed.

She provides excellent support and motivation while keeping the workouts upbeat and tailor made to my individual needs. She is really flexible offering group workouts and personal training. I also love that she mixes up the workouts each week often finding an outdoor space to work out when weather permits. The vinyasa flow class I took today was a great experience. The instructor Sorinel did a great job helping us flow through the different poses. The room does get hot but not intolerable and the fan was turned on a couple times in the class. The yoga studio has mats and towels to rent as well as showers and lockers. You can buy water and beverages at the studio too but no water fountains. I would recommend anyone trying a class here !

The equipment is great, the facilities are great, the amenities are great, the group exercise classes are great.... the indoor tennis courts... the golf practice area... I could go on and on, really. Some of my favorite aspects include: - The Fitness Equipment: TCR has cardio machines (elliptical, treadmill, bikes, etc.), nautilus equipment, free weights, a Smith machine, TRX, etc. You name it, they have it. They even have a recumbent bike that has video games integrated into it. So, as you are riding the bike, you can pretend that you are rolling along in your own "shot 'em up" style game. Very cool. -The pool: The pool itself is huge and multi-lane. It even opens up to a large deck for getting some sun or hitting up their pool bar and grill. Oh, and they have Happy Hours on the deck on Fridays during the summer! -The group exercise classes: TCR offers Les Mills classes and other great strength, cardio, cycle, and "mind, body, spirit" classes. There is definitely something for everyone. -The staff: Wow! The staff at TCR are all so nice and knowledgeable. Kudos to the management for excellent recruiting and training! Special Note: If you have kids, this place is great, too because they host camps for kids and other youth programming. They even have transportation to get your kids to and from the facility. I was buzzed in at the building entrance but when I got to the studios door I had to knock several times before a woman peeked her head from behind the door...and I mean peaked. She looked at me as if I was lost and said "yes?" I responded by saying I'm interest in taking classes to which she quickly responded "can you just go to the website" and basically closed the door. I'm not sure if she is aware that she is a business and is likely to get in person inquiries. If she is in the middle of a session she should consider placing a sign on the door stating "private class in session, please visit our website". Or, I would have been perfectly fine with "sorry I'm in the middle of a class, can you please visit our website" vs. the rude response I received. I guess this studio has plenty of clients and has no desire to add new one.
