I saw Dr Drucker for an ingrown toe nail. I had this once before and saw another Podistrist. When I had this done previously the procedure was different and it hurt for weeks after. With Dr Drucker there was no pain at all after the procedure and it has healed well. Although I was not a previous patient of Dr Drucker, he saw me the same day. Be ware of Mark Drucker. Dr. Drucker did a routine bunion surgery on my foot, afterwards I still had pain. Finally gave up on Dr. Drucker and found a new podiatrist. It turns out that I did not have a simple bunion, but something much more complex. When the new doctor went in my foot to revise Dr. Drucker's surgery and remove the screw he had put in my foot, it turned out that Dr. Drucker had stripped the screw head when he put it in my bone and it was impossible to take the screw out. Plus, because I wasted so much time with the first surgery and recovery the joint on my toe is completely worn down and will never recover. read more

Sadly, I think his time has come. He treated me for over a year for warts...when I asked him why they weren't going away, he said "don't worry, it's not cancer." Finally found an amazing DPM in SF and after using the correct medicine, my feet look new! read more

I am three weeks into recovery after having foot surgery. Wow, I put in an end of the year request for surgery ( the pain had become unbearable and we had met our out of pocket). Dr. Drucker's incredible staff worked me in and he worked his surgical skills to give me an almost pain free experience. It's only been 3 weeks and my foot feels and looks great. Believe me, I'm a tough critic of doctors and I will not let poor medical care go unmentioned. I love it when it's all great. The surgery center was also top notch - not one complaint. My only disappointment was, the anesthesiologists were out of network and therefore not covered at all. Whatever, they used - was excellent. I woke up instantly with no side effects. I like that. I would recommend Dr. Drucker to everyone - professional, skilled, nice and a good sense of humor and a great staff. read more

I came back from a trip outside the country with a foot infection. I could not put any weight on my foot. No one could have been more concerned about treatment than Dr. Drucker. He was monitoring the progress of the antibiotic treatment, called me at home to see how I was doing, and when the antibiotic did not seem to be working fully, he called in an infectious disease specialist to make certain the right antibiotic was applied. Needless to say, my foot was cured. He is one of a vanishing breed of doctors who care for their patients, not their pocketbooks. After the treatment finished, he told me the injury was serious enough that if the antibiotic had not worked, he thought I would end up requiring treatment in the hospital or facing death. read more

I appreciated Dr. Drucker's office fitting me in a couple of days before Thanksgiving, even though I had never been to the office before. Dr. Drucker was quick and efficient in checking out a broken toe, showing me how to bandage it, and dealing with an ingrown toenail that had turned nasty. His staff are friendly and efficient. Aside from the quirk of not taking credit cards, there was nothing unexpected and my toes are much happier for visiting Dr. Drucker. I'll definitely go back if any other issues arise. read more

Bare minimum care here. I met the doctor and made an point to explain my concerns and share my need for quality foot care. With incredibly high arches, I experience ongoing pain in several parts of my feet & ankles. Dr Drucker acted uninterested in hearing what I had to say, then ordered orthotics (a good thing) and sent me home, never to call and check up on me again. Needless to say, the orthotics are not helping and my feet require further care. When I called the office to inform the receptionist that I was picking up my X-rays, she said she'd be in the office at 1pm after lunch. I arrived at 1:05pm to find the waiting room full of confused (mature) women waiting for their appointment, and nobody in the office. Two employees finally entered the building at 1:30pm saying "they had a really bad morning, and that was why they were 30 minutes late." No apologies or explanations. Their voicemail message says they're open from 9-5pm with lunch from 12-1pm. Apparently my appointment at 1:00pm wasn't important to them because they were having a "bad day." The doctor wasn't in the office that day. I wonder if his receptionists take extra long lunches when he is there! Unprofessional, and uninterested in anything but collecting your money. read more

I have had two surgeries performed by Dr. Drucker, one in November and the other in February. The first set entailed 2 procedures on my right foot and went well. These two procedures are described as bunionectomy with osteomety and exotosis on the consent forms. The second was suppose to be identical on my left foot, but only one of these was done. When I inquired about the lack of second incision on my left foot, Dr. Drucker immediately went to the consent form and showed me that I signed it. After discussing this with him over the next few days, I explained that I thought I was signing what we talked about in the office and assumed that the medical names of the procedures reflected this, not knowing he left out the "exotosis" from the second consent. I told him it was always the same surgeries on both feet. I then reminded him how he filled out the consent on the fly for the second procedure and how I was prescribed a drug for the second procedure to which I had an allergic reaction during the first surgery. Fortunately this was caught and I did not take the drugs. Dr. Drucker then stated, "there is no mistake" to which I showed him the consent form in question. . .with someone else's initials in lieu of mine. That is correct, I guarantee, the initials are not mine. While he does acknowledge that he quickly filled out the consent form in front of me, he denies that he left out the second procedure (the "exotosis") from the form. Not being familiar (at the time) with the medical names of my surgeries, I relied heavily on what the doctor and I discussed and his duty to write that on the consent form. I made a mistake as I thought the bunionectomy with osteomety were two procedures, not one that refers to breaking of bone as I have recently learned. He will further not acknowledge that he made a mistake with the second surgery, and states that neither he nor his office signed my consent form. I then showed him my escrow papers further demonstrating that the initials are not mine and therefore someone in his office DID fill it out. Aside from the verbal agreement he and I had regarding the second surgery, the consent forms are there to protect the physician and patient. If I had been given the opportunity to initial, I would have identified the lack of consent on the second procedure and given the opportunity to correct it before I went into the operating room. Now, I either had half of the first surgery for nothing or have to now have a third. Unfortunately, the third is necessary and I have gone to a different podiatrist. Dr. Drucker will not acknowledge is mistake nor take responsibility. It is not like he can give me a 2 for 1 coupon to rectify the situation, I have to again go under anesthesia, take time off work, walk with a limp, perhaps need crutches again, refrain from exercising for 4-5 weeks, and more. He was defensive and condescending and I would suggest no one visit his practice. read more

I have a plantar wart on the bottom of my left foot. I had fractured the foot and thought I had a splinter in the bottom of it. So I finally went to a podiatrist. I do not have health insurance. I pay cash for my appointments. I have never had a plantar wart before so I had no idea about the right treatment. So, this doctor decided to freeze the wart. I was told it would form a blister and heal. The doctor asked what me and my husband did for a living. I do not make a lot of money and neither does my husband, but based on our conversation he assumed my husband was rich. The doctor made many comments about how my husband should buy me health insurance. 2 weeks later, my foot was getting worse, a lot worse. I made another appointment. The doctor froze it again and told me it takes a few treatments before it will go away. In the meantime, I have no quality of life. From limping on a fractured foot with a plantar wart on the bottom, it threw my back out and I had to walk with a cane. I broke down crying in the doctors office about the pain I was having...it felt like glass shards going through my foot. The doctor then commented yet again about how I should have health insurance. Another 2 weeks go by, now my foot is turning black and my toes are blue. My foot is also super swollen where it had been fractured. I go to the doctor a 3rd time. He had an xray of my foot done. The xray did not show a fracture anymore. The doctor then proceeds to freeze the wart again. However, he could not load the cartridge correctly. He spent 30 minutes trying to load it. He finally took the box for the cartridge and started reading the instructions. At this point in time, I am thinking that I know how to read instructions on a box so why I am paying this guy. He finishes the freezing. I ask him repeatedly why is my foot swollen and in severe pain. He shrugs off these questions and starts telling me that I need health insurance again. I told him that I cannot afford it and he still doesn't seem to understand why I don't have health insurance. I stopped going to see him and bought the over the counter Dr. Schols plantar wart medicine. My foot is not fully healed but it is getting better now. It has been 9 months of severe pain and my husband and I have spent $500 at this podiatrist, to no avail. I think he should have his licensing revoked. I also think he probably has the onset of Dementia or Alzheimer's . He looked really confused when trying to replace the freezing cartridges...and he is obviously out of touch with real people who are not rich like him. As a very active runner that is constantly having foot problems I visited Dr. Elmi and he was beyond amazing. I've had ongoing foot pain for several years, and have visited a number of other podiatrists in the area without being fully satisfied. I gave Dr. Elmi a try, called the office and was able to get in the same day! The first impression I got from Dr. Elmi was his warm persona, he was calm, friendly, and very knowledgeable. We had a terrific experience with Dr. Drucker. Our 91 y/o mother fell recently and had foot pain that prevented her from walking. She has Alzheimer's and needed some quick, special attention. He and his staff were kind, gentle and accommodating (fitting us in when it was convenient for her and our work schedules). X-rays were taken on the spot, she was diagnosed with a fracture and many choices were discussed. He felt that surgery was an option, but might not serve her well (putting her at risk for infection and all the complications that immobilization could bring a woman with her age and memory issues). We opted for a compression stocking and a podiatry boot with special instructions to the nursing staff where she lives. She actually got immediate relief and was able to partial weight bear with minimal discomfort. It has been over 2 weeks now and when he called us, we happily informed him that she was dancing with her boot on. Thanks all around to him and his staff! 2 thumbs (toes) up to Dr. D!!!!! read more
