I'm not gonna lie. Some of the staff there really do suck but for the most part this is a great place, it will save you. I went there for 127 days total including detox and the "90" day program. The only reason I say it was alright is because it was an experience I will never experience again with the people I met and the people I knew from before going in there. And the food was great. This place is great. I had no money and they gave me treatment, housing, food, health care, and job training. I have a job now and have been clean for 16 months. If you are worried about dental floss you are not putting in the work needed to focus on your recovery. Give the place a chance to help you. read more

You have a better chance at sobriety in a bar then here. Staff completely useless to family. I called on a Monday at 4 pm and there was literally no one available other then front desk. Don't waste your time or energy with this staff or facility. read more

This facility is not only filthy dirty, they also do not care about their employees or patients. The way a company treats their employees is a direct representation of how they want their patients to be treated and taken care of. There are cockroaches , dirt and dust everywhere along with a whole bunch of clutter. This is supposed to be a state-ran, clean environment where people come to get help. How is this place going to help anyone else when they can't even help themselves ?? Don't go here!! There are other , better and cleaner , options!!! read more

I decided to go to detox here and it was one of the worst decisions I've ever made (close to my decision on substance abuse). The people who work there do not care about literally anyone or anything and it's filthy. The woman behind the front desk acted like I was inconveniencing her when I came in for help, and she didn't even bother putting shoes on when helping me with my intake. Next issue was when I did a UA; they asked when I was finished with it, that I place it on the windowsill in the bathroom and after waiting about 3 hours, someone else who went in to take a UA had either poured it down the drain or into their own cup. Thus, I had to give another sample and they ended up entering the wrong positive results into the system and therefore I was not given the help I needed. After being admitted, I'm placed in a room with 7 other men in a single room (no big deal), but I was never fed nor given any type of comfort meds due to the wrong results on my UA. While going through withdrawals and starving at 2am, another "client" decided to rather than go in the restroom and use the facilities, came and urinated next to my bed. I couldn't take it anymore and left. I was told I got one phone call if I returned to the intake area and I told the girl I would like to call the Delray Beach Police. She would not do it (I thought they were there to help?). I had to walk to a nearby home and ask the owner to call the police. Once they did and I went back to DAF, the girl sitting behind the desk acted as if she did not have keys to the property room and I could not get my belongings. Yes, they make you sign a waver saying you can only pick up your stuff during certain days/times, but I've dealt with this before at a different facility and called the authorities... as an individual, regardless of what you sign, they are not allowed to keep your belongings hostage. Also, it is hard to believe they do not keep keys to the propery room on hand at all times. Do not send yourself or your loved ones here, it will just hinder your/their recovery. read more

I would only go here if you are desperate and need treatment immediately. There is a second state run facility in Lantana that might be a better option. The employees are rude and unresponsive. The therapists at residential section are solid. read more

I dropped off my daughter with no expectations. The staff was friendly, explained the process to use, let me know not to expect calls. I received a call 5 days later from my daughter stating she was going into the residential program. She has been there for 2 months and is doing great. I would recommend this program to others. My daughter said the facility was very nice and the food was great. read more

I called this place and it sounded so promising over the phone so we drove from Riviera Beach to Delray around 8pm Wednesday 3/22 to take my nephew they said it takes 3-4hours before they know if he'll be accepted so we left him and went back home and waited he called about 11:40pm to say he wasn't accepted so we go back to Delray and get him he tells me they said that people don't withdraw from Molly which isn't true. Molly/Ecstasy is a psychologically addictive drug. When quitting the hallucinogenic stimulant, users experience intense psychological withdrawal symptoms, such as depression, anxiety and drug cravings. My nephew's skin is about 5 shades darker and he's about 40 or more pounds lighter he asked me for help because he needs and wants help this is destroying his life he's homeless and unemployed he's always worked. There were two other people there who were not accepted why have this place open if it's picking and choosing who's drug is worst drugs are drugs and once they're controlling you there's a problem. Just turning people away with no suggestions or other options or leads or phone numbers of someone who could help nope just go back to the streets. This place should not be one of 211 info hotline numbers. Y'all should do better Palm Beach County is running over with homeless addicts and addicts who have somewhere to live there is a need for more facilities. read more
