They have parking lot. The checkin staff is very slow but otherwise the experience was good. Staff that I interacted with was very nice.

The whole way in the car he and my mother-in-law were yelling profusely at the caretaker who was driving them and following me. When we got to the emergency door, I got out of my car to bring them in and they were yelling, "We want to go to Delray Hospital! Take us to Delray Hospital!" They could have been on a commercial advertising that hospital! In order to not risk him going into a diabetic coma, I turned around and brought him to Delray Hospital. You can read about our trials and tribulations there in that review. I personally much prefer Boca Hospital as opposed to Delray. When I had an emergency, they took care of me right away, they admitted me without my having to wait for hours, they attended to my needs. I spent overnight there, and it was very pleasant despite my having to be in the hospital. They have a great video of scenes in National Parks with calming music to ease my anxiety. They had great food...I probably put on 10 pounds in two days! The Women's Center is superb. Talk about keeping you calm! They too have like 3 monitors of calming music and scenes in every room. I love the pink velvety robes! It too makes you feel like a human being as opposed to those paper robes that they usually give you in exam rooms. There is a pianist in the reception room. Again, this adds to a calming atmosphere. My father-in-law had been admitted another time and the room was great. They gave him a brand new single room. It was so nice and private! He needed that. Also, the pharmacy department is great! I gave them a list of his medications and they put it in their computer system so all the staff had access. They also printed up a list of his meds for me before and after the hospital stay. That came in handy for follow-up visits. You can tell that this hospital gets lots of private donations and support. It really shows in patient care!

The nursing staff was great. The first day I kept calling my mom but she wasn't answering which worried me ( she was on a lot of pain meds) so I called the nurse ( Mo) and he answered. Went to check on my mom and asked why I wasn't answering. He assured me my mom was ok which made me feel better. All the day nurses that took care of my mom were great ( Erin, Jackie, Mo, Dana, Angie, Melissa) I slept there for the week and a half she was there. The night nurses were ok, only came in to take vitals, give medication and clean her ( I got the feeling that they weren't too thrilled when they had to clean her) which is understandable but my mom had a fractured tail bone so she was limited to what she could do but I'm still thankful for them. Only thing was that I wish the food was better. Every week was the same thing I kind of wish they would change it up a bit & also the case manager I wish she would communicate a little bit more and guide us but nope one can only hope

I was surprised that I had to stay overnight as it was an elective surgery but he and the pre op team explained it clearly. The care that I received in pre op was best in class. I was very subconscious as I am on the younger side of being a senior so a slip and fall and extensive recovery is very humbling. Any way the entire pre op team made me feel comfortable and I started joking as to what to tell people as how I fell as a slipping in a parking loot is not interesting! (My issue) Everyone was great and especially the nurse that was near my age (pink scrubs blond hair) everyone made me at ease including Mary the anesthesia! Recovery was just as impressive Danielle was my nurse very nice and my nurses Darlene, Kayleah an David were best in class! Highly recommend this place and Angelica lives up to her name!

These markers highlight important people and places throughout Florida, adding depth and meaning to everyday locations you might otherwise overlook. This particular marker (F-785), installed in 2013 by the Robert Neff Family, the Delray Beach Historical Society, and the Florida Department of State, tells the story of how this area's healthcare system came to be. The surrounding community was first settled in the late 1890s, when medical care was extremely limited. For decades, a small number of doctors and midwives served the area, and the nearest hospital was 18 miles away in West Palm Beach. Critically ill patients often had to be transported by horse and buggy or even fire engine--journeys that were sometimes fatal. In 1947, local civic leaders and physicians formed the Gulfstream Hospital Association to address this urgent need. After years of effort--raising funds, establishing a taxing district, and securing land--the 70-bed Bethesda Memorial Hospital opened on February 9, 1959. Named after the biblical Pool of Bethesda, symbolizing healing, the hospital began with 32 doctors and six dentists. Its first patient underwent an emergency appendectomy, and its first baby was born just a week later. The hospital quickly grew, expanding within six months of opening. Today, as Bethesda Hospital East, it is part of Baptist Health and has evolved into a 401-bed, full-service medical center with more than 500 physicians across 40 specialties. It offers 24/7 emergency care, a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, and advanced services in areas like cancer, heart and vascular, orthopedics, and women's health. The facility also features minimally invasive robotic surgery and an inpatient rehabilitation unit. Beyond patient care, the hospital plays an important educational role through its partnership with Florida Atlantic University's Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine and its own Bethesda College of Health Sciences, helping train the next generation of healthcare professionals. Even if you're just passing by, the marker is worth a moment of your time--it's a small but meaningful reminder of how far healthcare in this community has come.

Beyond Exceptional Care -Truly a Blessing at Bethesda Hospital East…read more We were honestly hesitant to go to Bethesda Hospital East in Boynton Beach because of some negative reviews online, but it was an emergency situation with my mother, who was visiting my sister in Florida. She went to a walk-in clinic due to severe back pain, gum pain, weakness, and feeling faint. After an EKG, the clinic discovered she was having an active heart attack, and she was rushed to Bethesda Hospital East. From the very moment she was admitted, every single person from the cardiologists and specialists to the nurse practitioners, nurses, cleaners, security guards, and kitchen staff showed an incredible level of care, compassion, and professionalism. The cardiology team was outstanding, explaining every step clearly and acting quickly to save her life. The hospital felt more like a high-end resort than a medical facility. The rooms were spotless, the environment calm and comforting, and even the food was delicious made with care and served kindly. My mother felt truly seen and respected, especially because they had Spanish-speaking doctors and staff who made her feel comfortable and understood when discussing such critical health matters. When she was discharged, we found a beautiful thank-you letter in her papers, expressing gratitude for trusting them with her life such a thoughtful and human touch that deeply moved us. We don't usually write reviews, but it would honestly be an injustice not to share this experience. Bethesda Hospital East deserves recognition for the exceptional, heartfelt, and professional care they provide. If all hospitals and medical providers operated with this level of dedication and compassion, the world would be a much better place. Thank you, Bethesda Hospital East, for treating my mother with such love, respect, and excellence. You turned a frightening experience into one filled with hope and gratitude.
