Facility was left unlocked to test patients and see if they'd escape, but some did and got into some situations on the streets because it's a bunch of fast food places and stuff. They'd still get into trouble for trying to escape even if they went batshit crazy We got in trouble for things simple as not eating just because we were upset and had to write real long essays. Staff were alright, some were kind of assholes though and one of the therapists had a DUI charge if you look at the Reddit post someone made about this place. HIPPA laws were violated not gonna lie, for some reason whenever someone went a level down in residential they had other kids vote. Why's this an issue? Because I knew my shit five days in and they were jealous because they don't handle their problems on their own. One of my friends was forced to share their r*pe story to I don't know, maybe around 40 kids in the room?? They didn't want to which their privacy shouldn't be violated like that in the first place and they broke down crying. The computer lab smelled like cigarettes and we weren't allowed to contact our parents if we got in trouble. Apparently it was only once a week under supervision so my dad even made a code sentence to say if I needed help because we had a bad feeling about this place. Now, I only stayed for six days because I emailed my teacher through the school site to contact my mom and tell her I needed help. Got banned from the computers that day but I have no regrets because if I hadn't done that I don't know the shit I could've endured. I had six bakeracts before that and witnessed some pretty wild situations at a young age because I was under a prescription cascade by my old doctor and had side effects so I'd hurt myself. Never had ill intentions towards anyone and hated altercations especially because I'm bad at social interaction. But this place? There were fights often, kids kissing each other and talking about how many people they've fucked, if your roommate was pissed at you you weren't allowed to sleep on the floor outside your room but if you cut yourself then you had to so I kinda did that- Not a proud moment but I didn't wanna piss him off more because I felt bad for calling his music taste ass Anyways, you were also cooked if you didn't have friends because of the weird voting system Dr. Moron GolfBallHeadWithGlasses made up. Mornings were weird af, the guy went "Good morning everyone " and we had to say in unison "Good morning Doctor Moran!" Like it was some sorta kids show and then the next minute it's forcing people to share their deepest traumas even if they don't wanna Outside time sucked, they made us give them our shoes which by the way I never got my shoes back from that place, those were some pretty good Nikes Dosages were tampered with though and parents weren't told. Also a lot of the reviews I saw on here about a year ago were deleted so I know they're trying to silence us. Well guess what? Not gonna let that happen! Water tasted like metal, fridge was broken and the milk had ice chunks in it, food tasted nasty, and they didn't really care for people's needs. And the strip searches are weird but I don't really blame them for that, staff probably didn't want to do that either Also even if you're not a drug addict, if you don't attend an AA meeting you'll get in trouble for not listening about the dangers of doing drugs even if you know not to anyways Also for the past year or so the location keeps saying "closed", "permanently closed", "open", "temporarily closed" ??????? Pick a side!‍ Might be good for kids who are recovering from addictions but even then it's just a really bizarre place, wouldn't recommend it but you do you if you want.

The woman thanked me for my patience (The phrase she used, I always appreciate & told her so.) & we completed the check-in process. As a thank you for MY kind words to her, she presented me with an amethyst heart stone & told me to rub it for various purposes. Ava, smiling & cheerful, brought my "Golden Chariot" a/k/a wheelchair (I had been thoroughly briefed the prior day via phone.) and wheeled me to the Prep area. I was greeted by a lovey nurse, who asked me to verify who I was and why I there, then made it official with my allergy & fall bracelets. I liked the double & triple verification throughout the process. Dr Steven Stein, anesthesiologist, came to further verify the information I'd provided. I had a teasing banter with him about his State of origin, different than my own, he was good natured with it. Through this distracting conversation, the nurse prepped me for IV & started the meds. When Dr Lubetkin, surgeon, arrived, I could still recognize him, he greeted me kindly and said the procedure would be rather brief. Recovery area, I suppose there was one but I have zero recall. The next thing I remember is getting ready to depart. Dory helped me orient myself to finish the experience and I was done. First, middle & bottom line - excellent experience. A big & sincere thanks a bunch to all involved with my surgery today.

Ava, was the nurse to take me back, she was professional and gentle. I then was introduced to my angel for the day, Astrove. His official capacity was Anesthesiologist but his specialty was making me feel cared for from beginning to end. He made sure to check in on my at every point of the process. I am sure he treats everyone the same but he made me feel extra cared for. A million thanks to him! Finally, the rest of the dream team took over, then after surgery Daniel and Estella, both of which were extremely gentle and kind. Of course I have very little memory of my actual surgery, however Dr Kephart called my husband directly to give account of the surgery and let him know it was a great success. I am 2 days post surgery and walking around with very little swelling on basically no pain. Thank you to all who were involved.

Her treatment team has only recommended that she stay longer, and is requesting money for her to stay longer. We have barely heard from her treatment team. Releases are signed, they are legally able to communicate with us, this is just simply neglect to do so. I cannot stress enough how unprofessional and unethical this treatment has shown to be. We are now looking at 8 more days of treatment for her and of course we do not plan on extending her stay because Life Skills has shown us ZERO in terms of her progress in treatment and professionalism. I have previously worked in two drug and alcohol treatment centers, I know very well how treatment works, this is beyond unprofessional and disappointing. I cannot stress enough how much I do not recommend this place for treatment of your loved ones. It is genuinely scary and concerning their lack of care and professionalism.
