The Cold Brew coffee was strong and cold (skip the ice), and the salted cream was an excellent topper. Robert delivered our breakfast with care and accuracy. I was staying at the Noelle while attending a conference last week. Before heading to the hotel where the sessions were being held, I stopped by every morning to get some coffee. I struck up conversations with Maddie, one of the baristas, while I was ordering. She was amazing with giving me recommendations on lattes, wishing me luck on my presentation, and even celebrated with me when I told her how amazing it went the next day. These small chats really made my mornings and is something rarely seen in larger coffee chains (unless you frequent the same shop). Really appreciated her and the rest of the team! When traveling one of my favorite things to do is pop into coffee shops and try out their cold brew and check out their vibes and Drug Store Coffee delivered on both. Located inside the Noelle hotel, the interior decor feels very on brand with their surroundings. It's bright and airy and with minimalist but thoughtful decor with wood and metallic gold accents. My cold brew coffee was great. I also had a slice of cinnamon coffee cake which was also quite good. Seating was plentiful and I had a nice time sitting and watching folks walk through the hotel lobby and the street outside. I'd definitely pop back in for a future beverage and I'd love to stay at the hotel sometime too! read more

Went looking for an afternoon pick me up on a work trip and was a bit uncertain about this spot since it was in a hotel, but I am so glad that I wandered in. The barista was very sweet and gave me his favorite drink when I asked for a recommendation. I am typically a mocha drinker through and through, so I was a bit hesitant when he said he likes adding pistachio to his mocha. I am usually not a pistachio person, but this mix of flavors was perfect. The pistachio added an odd level of coolness to the drink when it was extra hot. The chocolate was not too sweet so the drink was nicely balanced. The space is in a hotel at tucked away in a corner with windows that are perfect for people watching. It's rare that I sit and enjoy my drink and do nothing but relax and this was the perfect drink to do that with. I would definitely come back here if I were in town again. read more

Being that this coffee shop was in the lobby area of a nice hotel, the coffee shop was very nice, too ! It almost felt like a lounge with the furniture and decoration it had. It also had a lot of natural lighting, which I appreciated. There was quite a lot of seating available when I went, and the employees were friendly as well. The space is filled with natural light, ample seating, and flat surfaces for working. They serve single origin coffee from local roaster, Sump, and high quality pastries. They also offer a small menu of made to order light fare. I was staying at Noelle, and ended up getting coffee here twice. On my first visit, the Iced Latte was exceptional, with balanced acidity and subtle floral notes. I also loved the Cherry Almond croissant, which had crisp, buttery layers and a delicious fruit jam within. On my next visit, my Cortado was so burnt that I could barely drink it. Perhaps an off day. Regardless, I think this is a good choice over a corporate chain any day. read more

After eating lunch I was looking for somewhere to kill a couple of hours and drink a coffee while doing it. When I looked up coffee I saw DSC, and decided I'd try it out. I had a little trouble finding it, as you have to enter a nicer restaurant to get to it. However, everything went great once I was inside. I got an iced coffee with almond milk and SF vanilla. It was super smooth, and didn't have that bitter taste I normally get from iced coffee. I felt bad because I had to do two separate transactions, but the staff was more than kind about it. I was able to read for a bit here, and drink a good coffee! read more

The iced coffee that was prepared didn't taste good. Most of my drink contained copious amounts of ice cubes, which watered down the drink. The baristas seemed bugged or disinterested, so I didn't feel as welcomed. This was my first coffee experience in TN, so it was quite disappointing. read more

Despite feeling so darned sick during my visit, I walked away from this hotel lobby coffee shop thinking "that might have been one of the cutest shops I've been to in quite some time." As someone who works remotely and travels a fair bit, this tools some really special characteristics to make Drug Store Coffee stand out from the pack. Located off to the side of the Noelle Hotel lobby, the corner location offers plentiful windows and natural light as well as a wrap around bar that faced out onto the street for five star people watching. In addition to the beautiful wrap around counter, it was the overall design and Scandinavian-like furniture that made this spot extra-special. I typically would have ordered a coffee drink but given my head cold, I opted for the peppermint tea with honey (thanks to the barista's recommendation). This was just what the doctor ordered. You'll find plentiful outlets and several spaces to enjoy your drink in the hotel lobby as well. This spot can be found just off Printers Alley and two blocks from Broadway Street. I travel a lot and am always searching for so-called third wave coffee, so I took to Yelp to find good places for espresso in Nashville. Drug Store Coffee came up so I set off on foot to get a yummy cappuccino. This coffee shop is located in the lobby of a boutique hotel. It's off to the side but you have to go in the main lobby entrance to get there. The store is very small and there's limited seating, but I enjoyed the stool seating that faces the street (there's lots to see for entertainment)! Otherwise, it is a very uncomfortable place to hang out (no comfy sofas or chairs, not enough plugs or space to work on a laptop, etc.). This is one of those "one and done" type of places. I ordered a very expensive cappuccino from the friendly barista. It took a while for her to craft my coffee, but I don't mind waiting if I get a quality product. I did. The coffee was smooth yet strong, and the milk art was pretty enough. The portion size was a little small, especially considering it cost me close to $7 including tax and tip! This is a very good spot for coffee. I'm not sure I'd venture far out of the way to come here again, but if you're into hipster coffee shops, you won't want to miss this place. read more
