    Sugar & Spice pop-up

I finally made my way over to Prickly Pear Coffee to try their coffee flight! This was perfect timing because their fall flavors had just been released and they were all SO GOOD. I absolutely love the space - it's so calming and the outdoor patio is lovely to sit on! The staff were so sweet and I had a wonderful visit! I also love that they have a space behind the shop for pop-ups! I obviously had to go take a look at the Sugar & Spice book space there currently What I ordered: -Coffee flight: Snickerdoodle Latte, Teddy Graham Latte, Apple Orchard Cold Brew w/ Caramel Apple cold foam, & Pumpkin Spiced Chai -Blueberry muffin Parking: -Free valet parking when you say you're visiting the coffee shop!

Prickly Pear is a cute little coffee shop inside the Albion apartment complex. They provide free Valet parking and are quick. Aesthetically the lobby area is beautiful and the service was amazing even though the staff was swamped with people after a workout class. Food options are pretty limited, but they do have food trucks on occasion. The coffee however is amazing! I split the flight with my wife and enjoyed all 4 of the ones we tried. They also do a great job of partnering with small businesses like small workout classes in the outside space or local calligraphy writing classes in the back room!

Had a great time at Prickly Pear Coffee! I tried the iced coffee flight, which was super fun and a perfect way to sample different flavors. I asked for the drinks to be made less sweet--highly recommend doing that if you prefer a more balanced coffee experience. Heads-up: valet parking is free, but the garage isn't--definitely go the valet route. They also serve Lady Bird breakfast tacos, which is a nice bonus!

Anyways the staff is really helpful. As soon as you're seated you're greeted and given the 411 on the place being a scratch kitchen, everything made in house and this is important because it contributes to the amazing quality control. But I digress. They also have merchandise and a pastry kitchen for you to grab and go coffee if you don't have time to enjoy the delicious food at a table. Now you cannot really go wrong here. We started off with the ricotta and honey on sourdough...amazing. And that honey? I wanted to take one home so bad but I did not want to check in my bag for it so I'll have to come by again. I could eat this pairing for days. So good. We stuck to the basics, biscuits with our cravings (chicken on mine, and bacon + egg + cheese on my friends) and a curry. Left leaving stuffed. Those biscuits...you must. 10/10 recommend and will be back!

(We had other dinner plans in a few hrs) we got the ricotta/honey bread, the honey butter biscuits and a Bloody Mary. Ricotta/honey: everyone raves about this but we thought it was boring. Ricotta was cold but the bread was warm. No flavor. Added salt and pepper just for something. It gives me ideas of something better to make some day do for that I'm Grateful. Biscuits: husband and friends loved them!! Could have used more butter but still good. Bloody Mary- YEEEESSS!! It was perfect. Our friend got the hot chicken and he loved it. I had 1 bite and it was definitely hot!! And yes- very good. All in all, a good different brunch place for an out of towner. Nothing amazing that I will come back for. Great customer service!

You can also book one of there glass classes. Cafe intermezzo falls into our lap. Unbelievable find. An oasis in the desert. Door opens a happy lady comes out with her friends and sees us looking at menu, she says "Go here. You will love it". She described a few dishes. Loved the French toast and Turkish coffee. Not sure but loving her passionate suggestion we went in. It was like walking into a cafe in Zurich Paris or Rome. Server was professional neat and polite. Menu was extensive. The classy wood paneling and nice tables were memorable. I ordered a crepe Florentine. It was savory type. It was amazing. My daughter ordered a more traditional sandwich and salad. She loved it too. There was breakfast lunch and dinner selections. Great desserts on display and being served table-side. They also made good espresso drinks. The reason I am giving 3 stars are for 3 main reasons. A) The front of the cafe smells like the sewer - incredibly unappetizing when you walk in or out. B) Our waitress messed up our order. She forgot to bring a Diet Coke. When we questioned her for it, she brought a regular coke instead of a Diet Coke. She then left the regular Coke and still charged us for the Diet Coke. C) There were 4 open tables around us. I had brought a chair next to us for us to put our purses on (they would not stay hanging on the bistro chair due to the rounded back). She told me she needed that chair "because she was planning on filling all the tables." The tables were never filled before we left and I had to cover my purse with my napkin throughout my meal.
