The workers seemed friendly and there were quite a few other customers there, within an hour of opening. But it never seemed crowded and remained pretty quiet. Here and there they have chairs and tables, so it could be a nice place to sit down with a book for a while. The rows are not straight, so it was a little hard to navigate the store. There were lots of books, but also lots of other things on sale. Puzzles, toys, records, pop culture gifts, and stationary/journals. They had a whole Harry Potter section with the books, of course, but lots of other Potter paraphernalia, like toys, mugs, etc. The signage over some of the sections was missing letters, I think whatever adhesive they used to affix the letters had issues with the curving surface of the book shelves. This store also had lots of events with authors on their event calendar. The cafe seemed like it had the regular snacks and beverages on offer, but I didn't look too hard at the menu. I don't really buy books much anymore (recovering book hoarder here), but this seems like a good addition to the bookstores in the area. I was a little surprised to hear of a new corporate bookstore opening up, but I see they are covering their bases a bit by selling tons of other gifts (and food) along with books. If a hot book hits the market, the holds at the library will stack up six deep and you have to wait a year to borrow a copy. Also, the library is no longer a reference library, and if you want a classic out of the past, you can find it here. New books are expensive, but that is not this firm's fault. I enjoy getting a coffee and reading my purchase before I leave. The bathrooms need a code for access but employees have been gracious in giving it to me and indeed the behavior of all the employees has been impeccable. I invariably leave in an enhanced mood.

Clothes, bibles, books, jewelry, movies, Zero skateboard decks, this place has everything you need. They also have more space for activities and communion supplies, as well as supplies for church administration. There is a whole room dedicated to children's books. We had a great time. The service was outstanding and the prices were affordable. I hope to see some outdoor festivals, food carts, worship, and other events in this great space.

They are likely selling resealed pokémon booster packs. We picked up some packs today that we later…read morequestioned while looking at them. My son is kind of new to the pokémon game so we decided to take pictures and opened the packs anyway. We emailed those pictures to another reputable card shop owner who said the packs should never be opened at all. You can see in the pictures they're open at the top in some corners. This is just a few of the packs that we picked up. So keep an eye out if you go there to get pokémon cards because if the booster packs are being resealed it's likely most of the other Pokemon product is as well. I was also told that it's really the shops prerogative if they wish to sell resealed packs. Apparently they pick them up from scalpers. And what would they care anyhow It's all profit.

It will be operating here until the main library is reopened. The volunteers have done a lovely job organizing this suite and the day I was there it was staffed with at least two volunteers. The collection is small but very high in quality and conscientiously organized. And the prices are eminently fair, lower even than thrift stores. They handle more than just books and by going to their Facebook page or website you can discover what they're all about. This is in that area of Broadway which is being gentrified, and there are many interesting nearby businesses, including the popular Broadway Coffeehouse. Thirty-minute unmetered parking is usually open right out front.

I love the option to buy used books. That being said I think their "we buy books" is pretty bad. I wish they gave more information. I brought in about 48 great condition popular books in. I had an appointment at 1:30pm that was made 3 weeks prior. I got there books in hand and was told the person who values the books to buy them was out but that I should get a call with an offer before 3:30pm. I killed some time around Salem as I wasn't expecting this to be quite the process and still had not gotten a call even though it was almost 4pm. I called them and they said the offer would be told to me in store. These are popular books from Carley Fortune, Tessa Bailey, Freida McFadden, Ali Hazelwood etc, and even some special editions of books with sprayed edges. All probably worth around $500 if you count each book as $10. After I came in to ask about my offer, the person helping me seemed pretty excited about all the books I had. Their offer was $57 in a check or $115 for store credit, it almost felt like a slap in the face to be honest. I told them that I'll think about it as I browsed the store. I took like half a lap through the store and went back to the front counter to let them know that I would be taking my books and declining their offer. As soon as I said that, immediate demeanor change in the employee and they just walked off while I had to put all my books back in the bags. Most of the time the staff are fine, but there is the occasional visit where I have staff a little too relaxed, almost as if they're not working at a bookstore. And there have been a few times I was waiting at the front counter ready to check out and not even looked at until the employees were done with their conversation which was anywhere from 1min to 10min. Prices are a bit high, but that's expected at an independent book store.
