In my quest to locate cool, lesser known places, I stumbled across Jet Records while searching online and finally had a chance to visit. The store occupies the same building as a jet ski repair shop, which is a little odd to say the least, but trust me when I say that this place is a hidden gem. Specializing in traditional heavy metal, power metal and hard rock, it was right up my alley, and the gentleman that was working on the day I visited was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, taking the time go through the CDs they keep behind the counter with me so that I could pick out some sick discs. Indeed, although Jet Records is definitely more focused on vinyl, they also have a small yet killer CD selection and being more of a CD guy I walked away extremely satisfied, picking up new discs from Glacier and Leather Witch plus some used Anthrax and Armored Saint. If you're into old school trad/heavy metal, power metal or hard rock, you owe it to yourself to check out Jet Records.

I feel incredibly lucky to live not far from such a cool store. Oh and my daughter wanted to point out they have a solid selection of both buttons and stickers. :)

It's really uninviting in here now versus when they first re-opened and I found out why. Immediately after walking in, I got a snide remark of "Day three? Maybe you'll buy something?" And when I left without buying anything, I got pestered and called a "Transit Kid." I tried explaining that I can't see very well, so it takes me a while to look at all the small items/read price tags, but I could barely get a word in. I live nearby, so I'd often stop in after I got coffee next door until i had to leave and go to work. Telling people not to window shop at your antique/trinket store is absurd, and I REALLY hope you weren't insinuating that you thought I was stealing.

I got a chance to talk to who I assume is the owner and she's awesome and really friendly. They also let me bring my dog in as long as he was well behaved, which relieved a lot of stress from us so we could shop and keep an eye on him.

Great vinyl shop located near 17th & Hwy 101 in Lincoln City…read more I liked the streamlined layout, vibe, and featured merch at this retail site. There was a well curated collection, including titles from Record Store Day. I resisted buying vinyl I saw from The Cranberries, Garbage, Britney Howard, and a Godzilla soundtrack. There were also turntables, speakers, vinyl storage cases, cassette titles, and other items like soaps and candles. Worth a detour if in the area.
