    Turkey sandwich on Grist bread

I had a customized Cappuccino with a pinch of salted caramel syrup. It had a unique aroma, foamy and creamy textures, truly the best and unforgettable. Baristas here really know what they do...Ingredients on turkey sandwich were fresh and light, enjoyed it. Will be back.

Coffee spot of my dreams. Small seating area inside, with a nice sized patio in a great, residential location. I'm always in and out of there with my coffee in under 5 minutes and the baristas are so friendly.

This place, hands down, has the best coffee in town! It is perfectly roasted, and the baristas really know what they are doing. Their baked goods are DELICIOUS and they also have many amazing vegan options! Yummy sandwiches too!

This was a beautiful sight. And even more delicious.

This is my first review of a coffeehouse outside of this universe. I have toured the great coffeeshop cities of Portland and Seattle and Los Angeles. I have discovered hidden coffeeshop gems in unexpected places and the middle of nowhere USA. I have made pilgrimage to the great Kiva Coffeehouse reigning humbly over the beautiful rock canyons of Escalante. But now. But NOW! ...I find myself dumbstruck by a coffeehouse that doesn't belong to our time and place. And that is because it belongs so terribly more than anything else. Drum satisfies all high expectations, and then it does not stop. It goes further than that. And one discovers more and more of it--each new piece more unbelievable than the last. Because there is no visible mock-up of the standard of perfection, we can only base it off of the greatest thing we experience. I have never been able to believe this about a coffeehouse before, but Drum Coffee is the perfect coffeehouse. Everything may be subjectively relative, but Drum has gone so above and beyond what is expected or possible that I can comfortably call it the perfect coffeehouse, for the sake of comparison. Getting down to brass tacks... * The food and pastry's are daily baked in house. * The coffee is a locally roasted signature Drum blend that made mentally double-take. It warrants a whole review of its own. * The whole place is so clean and bright and fresh and cozy. * The ambience is friendly and energetic and comfortable. Beautiful tiling, furnishings and fixtures. * The architecture itself is simple and genius. So much sunlight. * The barista, Kendra is the top one percent of the top one percent of humanity. What a wonderful, positive, vital person! She is passionate about Drum an has a lot of interesting things to say about it! Great conversations. If Drum were a lesser coffeehouse I would return JUST to see Kendra again. * The location is perfect. In the middle of a neighborhood. I am now a returning customer forever. Drum is my new favorite thing. Visiting Drum Coffee left me with an impression similar to driving through the Going to the Sun Road in Glacier National Park. I'm left with the mental impression that something beautiful and grand has just occurred.

Cool building and they had oat milk as well as different kinds of breakfast toasts! The baristas were professional and sweet.

The pastry case is impressive with a huge selection of pastries, bagels, and goodies, including massive pies that are hard to resist. Coffee and tea options cover all the standard classics, plus some fun twists that keep the menu interesting. The coffee is good for the area but nothing outstanding. The space itself is large with plenty of seating options, and it never feels overly crowded, which is a big plus if you want to sit and relax for a while. Unfortunately, the service has gone downhill. The baristas used to be incredibly friendly, remembered drink orders, and made you feel genuinely welcome. Lately, it feels rushed and impersonal, like you're just being pushed through the line with little acknowledgment. The experience has been very hit or miss, which makes it hard to want to return regularly. Overall, amazing pastries and pies, solid drinks, and a great space, but the inconsistency in service is what keeps this from being a frequent stop for me anymore.

Lost my business. 8 months ago I posted a review about this…read moreplace due to them forgetting my sauce on the side that I pay extra for each time. I love these burritos. They are a specific craving for me pretty dang often. Why? Because I love the burrito mixture with the SAUCE. I order, and because I have only so much time to eat in between patients, I ask for the sauce on the side so it all doesn't get soggy. I put specifically *sauce on the side* Then pay even more for ANOTHER sauce on the side in effort to get them to realize I want a SAUCE ON THE SIDE. More times than not, they have forgotten. The only times they haven't is when I ask the dash driver to confirm. In a moment of severe craving at work yesterday, I said heck with it, I'll order a burrito. Guess what?! NO SAUCE. I called in and in my most pleasant voice, I asked to speak with a manager. I was told they were busy but they would take my number down and have her call me back. NO call ever came. I was complaining to a coworker and sure enough she says "oh, that happened to a coworker last week." After that, I went and checked the reviews. Sure enough there were multiple complaining about not getting sauce on the side. At this point I'm questioning if the employees are just that dense or is this just full on laziness? I'm being ripped off every time for something I shouldn't even have to pay for in the first place. Won't be going back. Definitely won't be suggesting to visiting friends and family either.

I also really appreciated that they offer several vegan options. I ordered the Creamy Blue Smoothie and the Banana Walnut Oatmeal. The oatmeal was absolutely AMAZING--perfectly cooked, flavorful, and easily one of the best breakfasts I've had here. It's the item I'd recommend to everyone. The smoothie was good overall, but the fresh mint was a bit overpowering and left an aftertaste for me. I think it would be even better without the mint or with less of it. I also appreciated that they use compostable straws, although mine was cracked when I unwrapped it. Later, I came back for lunch and ordered the half Brussels Caesar Salad with the vegan protein. The vegan protein (chickpeas and lentils) was delicious, and the half portion was surprisingly large. I also liked that the dressing came already tossed throughout the salad. One thing I found a little confusing was that the Brussels Caesar uses a vegan dressing but is topped with cheese, so I'd be curious what substitution is offered for guests ordering it vegan. The bread was good, although the butter was served very cold and was difficult to spread. A few suggestions that could make the experience even better: * Add a larger "Basal" sign above the entrance to make the restaurant easier to spot. * Install a large wall-mounted menu inside for easier viewing. * Keep tables and chairs wiped down throughout the lunch rush. The restaurant was spotless during breakfast, but by lunchtime several tables and seats needed cleaning. Given the price point, I'd expect a bit more attention to dining room upkeep. Overall: good atmosphere, friendly staff, and good food. I recommend the Banana Walnut Oatmeal.
