Lost my business. 8 months ago I posted a review about this place due to them forgetting my sauce on the side that I pay extra for each time. I love these burritos. They are a specific craving for me pretty dang often. Why? Because I love the burrito mixture with the SAUCE. I order, and because I have only so much time to eat in between patients, I ask for the sauce on the side so it all doesn't get soggy. I put specifically *sauce on the side* Then pay even more for ANOTHER sauce on the side in effort to get them to realize I want a SAUCE ON THE SIDE. More times than not, they have forgotten. The only times they haven't is when I ask the dash driver to confirm. In a moment of severe craving at work yesterday, I said heck with it, I'll order a burrito. Guess what?! NO SAUCE. I called in and in my most pleasant voice, I asked to speak with a manager. I was told they were busy but they would take my number down and have her call me back. NO call ever came. I was complaining to a coworker and sure enough she says "oh, that happened to a coworker last week." After that, I went and checked the reviews. Sure enough there were multiple complaining about not getting sauce on the side. At this point I'm questioning if the employees are just that dense or is this just full on laziness? I'm being ripped off every time for something I shouldn't even have to pay for in the first place. Won't be going back. I received no prior call notifying me of this even though I put my order in at 12:05pm. I see no reason why I was not called and notified of this instead of showing up expecting to pick up my breakfast and hiking sack lunch only to find NEITHER had been made nor could be made. Really long wait times - it's a busy spot located in a busy part of town so I guess you have to expect this a bit but do beware. We came in for breakfast and waited about 10 minutes to order and then 20 minutes for our food. The breakfast burrito was fantastic and quite large, and the angry bird breakfast sandwich was perfectly spicy and huge. I will say their croissant does not feel like a croissant but rather a biscuit had a baby with a croissant. Their coffee and chai was great though and they made those quite quickly. We came back again later in the day to pick up PB&J's and PB&Honey for our river float and were surprised to have another 30 minute wait midday. Really having a hard time deciding how many stars to give. Our food was excellent, we loved the vegan breakfast burritos. Quality was great and it had lots of flavor. The portion was fair, though I did wish it was just a little bit bigger. The wait was about 30 minutes after ordering, which was frustrating because we watched many other groups order after us, eat, and then leave while we just waited. After about 25 minutes or so we asked the server, she was a bit dismissive and told us "that's a normal wait time." For a fast-casual coffee shop I wouldn't expect to wait that long, at the very least I would've liked a heads up from the cashier when we ordered. After seeing other reviews it seems like wait time is a common issue. Overall, the food was quality but I'm not entirely sure if we'll be back. For years these breakfast burritos were weekly ritual, reliable, delicious, and conveniently, located near work a.k.a. dangerously easy to justify every single Monday. Prices have gone up which fine. Inflation is out here doing its thing but in a cruel twist the burritos have also shrunk. And yet somehow there's still enough tortilla to wrap around a small toddler. The result? A giant doe shell performing an interpretive dance around a surprisingly tiny amount of filling. Less burrito more blanket. Then there's the texture situation. Two weeks in a row the eggs and potatoes had the unmistakenly vibe of we were cooked during a previous administration. Chewy tired, and emotionally unavailable. Breakfast should not feel like a reheated memory. And the real kicker... My coworker two weeks in a row now took one bite of her veggie burrito. pause reflected on her life choices and then threw away 3/4 of it. This is someone who wants ate a questionable gas station sandwich without blinking. That's how you know. It's honestly heartbreaking. The place used to be a downtown. Born (1995) and raised in Missoula, and have never left a review anywhere in my entire life. I have been a customer since ~2015. Simply put prices continue to rise, customer service continues to fall and quality and care of food continues to drop. I used to rant and rave to almost anyone who asked for a local Missoula recommendation for a casual but elevated food location, I no longer do so due to listed concerns above. My interpretation is they no longer care to cater to the local Missoulians who made them who they are to today. Long wait times, high prices, poor food preparation and abysmal customer service doesn't matter when the average customer they are serving is simply staying in the various surrounding hotels or passing through Missoula, and then leave (possibly never to return). I understand everything in life is increasing in price, but that means you should do everything in your power to make sure your food preparation and quality remains excellent and consistent. It means the training, leadership and customer service of your team members should be excellent. But unfortunately as the prices continue to rise the food quality/consistency and customer service seem to fall just the same, while wait times continue to rise. As someone who has worked in leadership for a large part of their adult life, you can see the leadership and accountability is near non existent. There never seems to be anyone in leadership steering the proverbial ship and most times you can find who I believe to be the owner sitting at the back table doing who knows what during rush times. Again I understand prices are increasing across the board. Although that only means all other aspects of a customers experience, who is paying a high price, should be much better than what they currently are and have been for years now. It's sad to see and hate leaving a review like this but if my family and I are going to continue to do business here, and recommend this location to people, something has to change. read more

Super odd experience. Exterior // nothing to really elaborate on. It's very basic glass windows and a sign out front. Parking // so this is questionable. Monday through Friday you either pay for street parking or pay in the adjacent parking garage. However on Saturday and Sunday parking is free both on the street and in the adjacent parking garage. Interior // interesting layout. Not the best logistically. When you enter to the left they have where you can buy market items and sweatshirts. The counter is directly ahead to the right. You stand in line you order your food they give you a number and if you ordered coffee you have to go to the end of the counter to wait for it. The seating area is extremely small and very under prepared. People while I were there were dropping chairs, cramming 10 people into a small 4x4 table, tripping over my chair because they weren't paying attention, Etc not a pleasant dining experience. Food // so I really wanted to like this place. I really wanted it to be like catalyst. The problem is the food is subpar. And when I asked for it to be presented on a plate the lady behind the counter stared at me like I had spoken to her in a foreign language. I had to explain to her a plate a styrofoam plate a paper plate a plastic plate a ceramic plate some kind of plate. And she says to me well usually we just wrap everything up in a burrito. Told her I don't want all my food mixed I would like it on a plate. After considerable conversation she was able to bring it out to me on a recycled paper plate of sorts. Very odd experience. The food was cold. Scrambled eggs were cold. Potatoes were cold. The avocado was supposed to be cold and was room temperature. Overview / Conclusion // I can honestly say my friends and I will never be back to this location. What a disappointment. Between the lack of seating options, lack of understanding in the customer service area of what a plate is and the cold food that I think they were counting on the microwave heating up if I were to get it in a burrito form. There's just no reason to go here when there's so many other dining options. This is a hard pass for me. read more

My son ordered something piled with meat. I forget what it was. We tasted each others and agreed that they were both great sandwiches. I ordered a latte as well and it was good. Was hoping it would keep me awake for the ride home. We had a good experience. Plenty of self served ice water which kept my athlete hydrated, nice seating area and a good vibe to the place. This place has fairly decent reviews so we stopped in during our visit to Missoula. The staff at the front was super friendly however, the food was truly the smallest portions I've ever seen and was not good. I ordered the breakfast burrito bowl and it came out with lukewarm warm microwaved eggs (about half an egg), 10 small breakfast potatoes and a very small portion of breakfast sausage. The only substantial portion in the bowl was the spinach. When I asked if I could get more potatoes and sausage, the girl working being the food counter was very rude and told me that "everything is pre portioned and there's nothing she can or will do". I didn't take a picture of the bowl with the toppings because I didn't think about it at the time but took a picture after to show how much spinach is in the bowl. It's right in the downtown area and is a great place to sit down and eat or drink coffee if you can snag a spot. I ordered the fruity bird sandwich ($11) although I was debating between that and the chicken florentine which also looked good. The cashier said, "Definitely the fruity bird, I'm obsessed with it" and that was enough to sell me! I don't know if it was because I just did a hike and was starving but the sandwich was delicious! The sweet caramelized onions and the salty bacon go well together as they always do. I think what really made this sandwich for me was that date preserve that gave more complex flavors.
