We were also told the owner/event manager would be on hand for help the day of. She seemed to forget who I was after meeting with me multiple times, but no biggie. I'm sure she meets lots of people. What was really not okay was that when we showed up to set up our event, the area was NOT cleaned and there was nobody to be found. There was dust and dirt everywhere that took an hour to clean before even being able to set up, a gross dead bug graveyard in the sitting area floor, it smelled musty, and overall was just not up to the standard they advertised. The owner nor any staff showed up at any point. We were not greeted, we were not helped, and it was just kind of a "okay good luck" situation. Also, the "AC" was on 75 on a hot May day. After paying the second half of the $550 fee, I didn't hear from the event manager other than a text asking what time I'd be in. Afterwards, nobody checked on us or the space. Never even heard from them to get a "thank you for renting our space" or "I'm sorry I wasn't available today"... To pay $550, you'd expect to get what you pay for. As a local, I will NOT be renting there for any other party I host nor trying out their B&B if the service is anything like this experience has been. Next time, we'll pay $550 for a nicer place on 151.

Being able to arrive the morning before the wedding and spend that day with family is what really made the difference. Most of our family members were meeting for the first time and having a space to meet up ahead of time really brought everyone together. The property was breathtaking. In fact, from the first visit, we instantly decided we had found our venue. Our guests commented on how beautiful the location was. We were really concerned about our guests as it was a long drive from the airport. The feedback we got was that the drive was worth it and they could all see why we chose the venue. The price was reasonable for what you get. I do want to point out that if you're a type A person who needs a Type A sort of situation, you might struggle with this place as they're pretty laid back. I say this as a bonus for myself. I really appreciated the fact that they didn't try to micromanage. They were always available for anything I needed during the planning process but really allowed me to do things my way. This definitely helped ease some of the stress.

Get on over to WOW and buy everything on their shelves. Quality is quality and it just gets better and better at Wisdom Oak. The Petite Manseng to the Tinto are must tries, TRY IT ALL! Wisdom Oak also boasts a great outdoor seating area and a newly expanded and covered patio. Accompanying the great seating areas are views of the vines and the iconic wisdom oak. Seating is spread all over Jason and Laura's property so you can set yourself away from people that you do not want to converse with hahaha. No matter how far you go though you can count on the knowledgeable and extremely friendly owners making their rounds to make you feel special. That's about all I have. The grounds have ample space for all of these activities, including bathrooms that are handy to the event. Working with Foxie was a breeze and so was coordinating all of the necessary rentals etc. Foxie has a helpful list of vendors who know the venue and that she has worked with before. We chose pretty much all of our vendors from her list and they were all wonderful! My friends and I also bought bulk flowers from Foxie and we assembled our own bouquets in her flower shed the day before my wedding which was super fun! (I only recommend making your own if you or your friends have flower experience--and one of my friends did!) Overall, Pharsalia was a dream venue and I highly recommend it!!!
