Bar manager was completely unprofessional. Took my wife's beer and set a water down and all she said was "you need this instead". All we asked is that we not get charged for the beer she dumped and she refused. After some arguing she proceeded to grab my full drink and dump it as well out of spite. I had the worst experience this evening at the rooster! it took over 20 min to get a waitress and moved to 2 different tables to see if we could get service. No refills, had to ask for silverware, plates, and ranch with our appetizers by walking up to the bar then catching a person who wasn't our server, check came before we could ask for another beer. We are locals and will be back but without our children and only if we can get served at the bar. Food wise this place is about $15 a person but well worth it because the portions are large and the quality is good . Working our way through the menu I had the "Nashville hot sauce " chicken sandwich today. It was awesome but get the sauce on the side for sure. We also had a turkey avocado chicken melt with sweet potato waffle fries that was excellent! I really liked the atmosphere and vibe...my first comment was that this place will do well. The salsa and queso were good, but the quac needed seasoning and the chips were as shown below: not House made unless Tostitos are made there...and we got the bottom of a bag. We got the food to go and the fries didn't travel well. The burger was dried out. The side salad seemed straight out of a bag of shredded iceberg lettuce. The ranch dressing was very good. The hot chicken was good...I would use better buns though-that's just me though. The service and hostess was great. The drinks looked very good as well. Last weekend was the first time to park our rv in this area at Grand Lake. It was a cold rainy weekend so we did not fully get to enjoy the vibe of this place. It has a new cool sports bar, yet family friendly vibe when you walk in. Plenty of seating and decent service. I can't wait to come back when the weather is warm and play some sand volleyball with the family. The food was a little pricey....but it is one of the only restaurants in this area, and the food was fresh...lots of options and upscale from just greasy bar food. I got a turkey avocado sandwich and sweet potato fries. My sweet potato fries were crunchy! My hubby got a burger. Kids got mozzarella sticks and a burger. Since it was not crowded, we got our food quick! No complaints and everyone left full and happy. We will be back! read more

We are not from this area, actually many states away. We were told Drunken Rooster stop was a must. We definitely were not impressed as there was only a handful of customers and we waited longer than expected to get a drink. We had to ask for our next drinks as the bartender was busy having shots with locals. We were not asked if we wanted to order food - we had to grab a menu and request an order - again the bartender was interacting with the same people. We began to mingle with people, one had turned out to be an off shift bartender of the establishment. She was not friendly and her local boys were also very rude. The bartender continued to enjoy shots with her group and ignore other patrons. The staff is working out of a tiny kitchen that isn't suited for such a large bar that serves food, this is after all a Bar & Grill not a restaurant. The burgers are average and they offer a lot of fried appetizers, fried fish is decent but small portions compared to other places. horrible experience after dropping $300 in one night. I wont ever go back again. it was so hyped up coming into town, I was so excited but now that I have tried the food, im not stoked on any of it. Philly was dry nothing to it but meat and veggies , usually a sauce of some sort is put on top, mushroom burger they forgot the mushrooms? the fried wontons were good, I hear the fried tempura is good but to be honest they have been out since the 3rd day they opened so I have not tried them..... deep fried mushrooms are ok, cheese curds are good, jalapeño poppers are not what you expect. The poppers still have the jallopeno seeds in them so they burn your mouth.... in my opinion cutting ou the seeds is best flavor wise. Shrimp tacos are nothing special, they remind me of what you make at home for dinner. The Ahi tuna was excellent. the fries aren't that great in my opinion, very basic crinkle cut seemed out of a frozen bag from the store. I hate to drop other restaurant names but moonys fries are still the best on the lake!! The tortilla soup was gross in my opinion just because it was very very tomato based. drink recommendation: Bahama Mama or any of the beers on tap... something needs to be fixed regarding the bush light that you all don't have on draft :( the margarita top shelf I had was around $15 and that was very watered down. We were there out of season, we had our dog with us and sat on the patio. Service was great, she came quickly getting our drinks and menus.
