This was my first time trying The Regatta on Grand restaurant! They actually have 3 stories. Restaurant in first floor, lounge seating on 2nd, and a sports bar with bar food & pizza on 3rd! I appreciate the restaurant being open on Mondays. Our server was so nice and helpful. She shared what her favorite dishes were and brought out fresh bread after it was finished. And that bread was next level. We got like a half loaf of Parmesan garlic sourdough! Fresh baked! I absolutely loved my shrimp & grits too. So flavorful. Great portions. If I based my review on the building, the location, the atmosphere and our greeting upon entry, this would be a five star review. We wanted to have a leisurely lunch so we drove a few miles into Grove. I do love this place and we wish it were closer to the south side of the lake. Upon entering, the owner greeted us and we talked boating for a while. He suggested we sit at the bar (and even told us we would have better service there). We were fine with that even though he said he would sit us at a big table if we wanted. The beer list is huge but we ordered Bloody Marys. They were good. Standard fare. I was eyeing some of the appetizers but we each ordered burgers--a Regatta Burger and an Okie Burger. The Regatta burger was supposed to have some spice but it might have needed some more oomph. The Okie burger was supposed to have had mushrooms on it. I saw only green peppers and onions. But, the burgers were good. We ordered the fries which were huge wedges. Note that some of the beers that are listed on the very artistic blackboard are no longer in tap rotation. We walked around the VERY elevated RV park before we left. Nice digs. My favorite restaurant around Grand Lake! I've been multiple times in the past few weeks for brunch and dinner...such a nice change from all of the southern cooking places. I love biscuits and gravy, but cannot eat it regularly. :) The food here reminds me of the places I used to frequent in Dallas before we moved back this year. Brunch (11am-1pm on weekends currently, but call to confirm) - Avocado English Points are amazing with some goat cheese and balsamic drizzle....mmmm! The only downside is if you are really hungry, you may want to order a side of something. I would rather pay a few dollars more for a larger portion of this dish. - Cinnamon Pecan Crusted French Toast: Plenty filling and very flavorful! - Kobe Breakfast Sliders: Three good-sized juicy sliders with a mix of breakfast sausage and Kobe beef...mmm! - A carafe of mimosas or a flight of mimosas is the way to go. They have a dozen different flavors! Dinner - Strawberry, goat cheese, pecan salad is my favorite! It's plenty big for $10, but it's another $10 to add a protein, which is too high. I've never paid $20 for a salad with chicken even at high-end Dallas restaurants. Protein should not be more than $5 to add. - Wagyu balls: Three HUGE meatballs in a delicious red sauce. Worth the $10 for an appetizer to share! - Stuffed mushrooms: Six small bite-sized mushrooms with ample flavor, but a bit pricey for $13. - The burgers are good; we have had some a little dry and just right. - The white cheddar mac and cheese side is to die for...so good! - The potato wedge fries are large and delicious as well; always served hot for us. Rooftop Bar - Only pizza is served for now, but it's a delicious thin crust and they plan to add more food in time (we asked). - The views are amazing, and the cushioned wicker furniture is comfortable. Starbucks Coffee - They serve most items on the Starbucks menu early in the mornings inside the first floor. Always call to confirm, but anyone can show up and grab Starbucks drinks, which isn't available elsewhere! It's totally optional, but you can make reservations, which I like since that's not a norm for places around the lake. Our own covered patio with furniture, barbecue and party lights. Then at 5:00 the margarita wagon came by and delivered free margaritas and sang Happy Birthday to me. You think that would be enough? We spent 3 nights at Regatta on the Grand in our RV and were welcomed at once by Marci with a refreshing non-alcoholic drink as we set up. She later made the rounds with margaritas at 5:00. What a treat! Because they were busy with lots checking in at the same time, Austin, the food director helped as well and we've never felt more welcomed at any RV park and we've been to lots of RV parks! I know that new owners took over 3 months ago and they are still working on things at the RV park so I'm hopeful for some new upgrades. The cushions on the couches are old, dirty, and not water-resistant and could definitely use some updates. There were fans at each site but apparently the last storm took them out so just a few things need to be fixed or upgraded. The sites were great though and right on the lake. But what really made this park stand out was the restaurant on site. The Drift is the downstairs restaurant and has amazing food and Boom is upstairs with delicious smash burgers. Everything we had at these restaurants was so good, including the chicken and waffles at their weekend brunch. Some of the dishes our group had were the redfish, pork loin, shrimp with angel hair pasta, strawberry goat cheese salad, wedge salad and to a tee all were delicious. The food was as good as any food we would get where we live in Kansas City and the hospitality was over the top. Austin is the food director and he takes special care to not only develop the menus and make sure the food is cooked properly but he also welcomes all guests and makes sure they have a great experience at the two restaurants. Every single staff member we came in contact with both at the RV park and restaurants was welcoming, helpful, and always made sure we were happy. We participated in a fun trivia night and since we had dinner on a weekend we even enjoyed the music played by a harpist! All in all a wonderful experience and we will be back! read more

Stopped here for dinner on a Saturday evening and we had a great time! The food was good, my burger could have had a little more BBQ sauce on it but the taste was spot on. The highlight of the visit was the two ladies that play the harp. The first one was a very friendly classy lady that had a playlist that was incredible. It included artists like Led Zeppelin and Van Morrison among others that you wouldn't expect to hear from a harpist. The other lady was also amazing with her classic style and she played beautifully. I would definitely recommend. We also heard that there is another restaurant upstairs that has BBQ and pizza with games. Next time I'm in Grove I'll be stopping in on a weekend for the food and the entertainment. It was a perfect family dinner! read more

While staying at the The Regatta on Grand Motorcoach Resort we stopped in the restaurant for Sunday Brunch. What a delicious treat. The French toast was A-mazing! They had a crunchy cinnamon crunch served with a rum spiced syrup. The biscuits were moist and delicious. They were definitely homemade and everything you'd expect with a homemade biscuit made with true love. I did order a side of eggs over medium and bacon which were both cooked perfectly. The mimosa was very good. They have a variety of mimosas --a mimosa fans favorite. They even offered a flight of four for $12 which was very surprising for the price. All of their prices were pretty inexpensive considering how inflation has been beating our country down. The service was excellent! All of the staff are super friendly and will bend over backgrounds to ensure you have everything you want and need. We plan to visit the restaurant more times while we're here for the week. This was the best place to have brunch on Grand Lake in Grove. We used to bring guests visiting us on Saturday or Sunday and they had an excellent selection of brunch entrees. We went this month and they no longer serve brunch. So disappointing. They even took off some of my menu lunch/dinner favorites. Manager was always great and helpful. So sad. 4 Feb 2024 Ordered the prime rib that came with loaded potato and broccolli. The steak was full of gristle and the potato was ice cold. I complained about the potato and they brought me a new one that was hot. I paid with credit card and was with a party so even though my bill was high I just signed it and left. Later when I really looked at the bill, I saw they had charged me $46 for my prime rib. Total rib off. read more

I certainly do not recommend this. Overpriced for the little service by rude staff who seem to think the patrons should simply be thankful that they're allowed to give their money to this place. As for the RV park side of things... Certainly not a luxury experience. For the dining, well... I guess if you Like to take risks, this place might be for you; ordered a chicken breast dinner, cut into it and it was raw in the center. After multiple attempts at getting attention of the unfortunately overworked weight staff, I walked over and asked wandering supervisor/manager if I could get some assistance. She sighed as if me asking her to do part of the job she's paid to do was a real imposition. I understand being busy, but she was walking around the restaurant for two minutes prior to my approaching her so... Not inappropriate to ask. She came to the table and I showed her the chicken, asked if I could have chicken that wasn't raw in the middle. She said "oh, is that raw?" She doesn't even know what it looks like if it's raw? not just undercooked, freaking raw. Well, OK, she's not the cook, fine. I asked if I could get a replacement. She picked up my plate and walked off. 49 minutes later finally out comes a plate of what I assumed was a replacement... Dried out chicken burnt black on one side, with a cut in the otherSide now facing against the plate, suspiciously the same as the cut Eye originally made into the piece of chicken. This is not just bad business practice, this is against health regulations! My dinner companions ordered cheeseburger medium, received well done dry flavorless patty and stale bread. The other had only a cocktail drink which she reported was below average, very little alcohol but a lot of therapy sugary content. We were here the whole week so we all agreed, hey, we will give it another try... Their trivia night in the bar above Regatta, called boom or boomroom, not sure of name... What a joke. It's not a professionally done trivia night, and restaurant manager writes up the trivia questions and only except the answer she has down though if you can show her that it comes up on first page of Google search that your answer is indeed correct she will give you half points. Because, you get it right but she didn't get it right and you can have half points. Yeah, That makes sense... that same snobby rude attitude from staff there, charging silly high prices and providing commonplace food (and napkins are paper towels, on the roll at each table... brought by yet again overworked staff... 2 folks at my table ordered the same "boomwich" and both had pretty nasty food poisoning later that night. I had "meat candy" which was OK, nothing tremendously great, roast beef and barbecue sauce but better than raw chicken, certainly. Oh, the trivia game itself is ridiculous because host/restaurant manager allows cheating by Yusing phones, and apparently the word is if you ask for it to be stopped she will disqualify your group rather than the cheating people! so, overall... Can I give negative stars? Because I sure as heck would. read more

We were in Grove for 2 days. We ate dinner at the Regatta on Grand both nights! Had the Spinach dip and the Wagu sliders to start along with a Lemon Meringue martini, all delicious. Shared the Blue Cheese Wedge salad---delicious. The Prime Rib special was excellent as was the Texas Cheesesteak and Portobello Burger. The ambience is relaxing listening to the Harpist. Big seating area out back to enjoy the fire. The waitress and hosts were all very engaging and enjoyed them. Finally, I always say you can tell a lot about a restaurant by its restroom's. My daughter took me here for lunch on Father's Day. She ordered the Waygu meatballs as a appetizer. They took a very long time to make it to the table! Nice portion size but they were cold in the middle which was odd because of how long it took to get them. Obviously they had been frozen and were not made fresh which you should expect from a restaurant that is trying to cater to a more upscale clientele. My daughter ordered the Caprese Chicken sandwich. The chicken was over cooked and not seasoned at all. She said her macaroni salad was good. I had the Pastrami Reuben sandwich and Parmesan fries. The pastrami was on the flat top WAY TO LONG!!! Tough to even chew it! It was the first Reuben I have ever had without sauerkraut which was really odd because that is what makes it a Reuben... If it was on there it was overshadowed by the extremely over cooked and dry pastrami. The wedge fries were overcooked also but had good flavor. The wait staff did a good job and paid just the right amount of attention to our table without being bothersome. I hate when they interrupt your conversations!
