Drury Inns are my favorite hotel chain and we specifically booked here for their pool for our kiddo who loves water. We were coming from Cincinnati and had been driving for a while. As soon as we got there, the pool was out of order. We got to our room and it was dirty on the bed so we had to ask mgmt for a new room which turned out to be a blessing because the new room had a tub. Food was meh but everything was clean in the buffet area. Elevators were in working order and the parking was easy in and out. read more

Good breakfast, better then many, I had eggs, biscuit and gravy and sausage, there were pancakes (premade) and waffles you make. juices and coffee that's available all day, plus coffee maker (not Keurig) in the room with frig and microwave. I missed the drinks and dinner they offer because I had other plans. The rooms are nice and clean, I was amazed that they had a small card with the TV channels listed, most do not. Bathroom was clean with toilet on an angle allows more room so you don't feel squeezed in. Shower had good water flow and really hot water, had a great shower. Pool area is big and pool is inside and outside, nice for IL where we have all 4 seasons. I like be staying at a Drury. This was a relaxing stay. They are doing work at revamping the hotel. However I got put in one of the remodeled rooms. There is a sensor outside the window that keeps lighting up outside. Wish we had a darker curtain to be able to sleep better. read more

This is my third time staying at this hotel. ThestaffiswhyIstayhere! Most recently I stayed here for one night last week. I arrived just before 2pm and was hoping for an early check in. When I arrived I was told that the computer system was completely down and they could not check anyone in. I was not happy but it wasn't anyone's fault. As time went by, the lobby started to fill up with other guests. An employee put out bottled water and snacks for us. She made batch after batch of popcorn. The system started to come up and people were called to the desk in the order in which they arrived. I dealt with Monica and Neshia (Don't quote me on the spelling). The hotel is close to the interstate. It is near many store and restaurants. It is easy to see cleanliness is a priority. The Drury Inn's free breakfast and evening kickback are a huge plus. It saves money and reduces the need to come and go in the evening. The most important thing that makes this hotel stand out is staff. They are all super helpful and up lifting. Liz is amazing!!! From the moment we walked in the doors-the front desk help was incredibly kind and helpful! Finding out it was our Anniversary they approached us later with a surprise gift bag filled with treasures: waters, treats, and even a card wishing us on our Anniversary travels! The Drury Inn & Suites in Champaign was a nice location for Homecoming weekend for the Illini. The rates were raised way higher (supply and demand of course)- so what we had to pay was probably a bit more than I'd like to pay for this level of hotel. However, the staff at the hotel was excellent. Our room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. The free breakfast was solid- biscuits and gravy as a unique choice- and then your usual continental breakfast foods- oatmeal, waffles, cereal, toast, etc. The main floor did have a relatively open area with tables in it so some guests were playing cards together and hanging out there which looked fun. The location was very convenient to shopping and chain restaurants which was nice for if we needed anything. I would stay here again for sure if I needed a place to stay in the Champaign area. read more

Absolutely dreadful. The guests in the adjoining room decided to host an all-night hotel room party -- and by "all night" I mean they literally never went to sleep, and therefore neither did I. Now, their partying proclivities may not been such an issue had the double-doors separating our rooms done ANYTHING to block any of their racket or pot smoke from wafting into my room. Unfortunately they did neither. When the front desk receptionist finally came to deal with them circa 4am, they just ignored him and then carried on shortly after he stopped knocking on their door -- and that was the hotel's only attempt at a recourse. Way to look out for your customers who paid you money in exchange for a quiet place to sleep. My night of virtually no sleep was followed by a morning visit to the continental breakfast area. The food was acceptable, not great -- hotel continental breakfasts rarely are -- but the last thing I want to see when I'm exhausted and irritable is every single unoccupied table needing cleanup and/or a wipe-down. Yuck. I'll be back in town on business in a couple weeks and I for damn sure won't be staying here again. read more

Nice location with eateries within walking distance and not too far from downtown. Our bed was comfy and I slept very well. The rooms felt a little outdated, but decent for just an overnight stay. They offer a morning breakfast with eggs, biscuits, waffles, oatmeal, cereal. I believe they also do a "happy hour" in the evening. As stated - good for a quick stay. read more

We have stayed at the Drury Inn on several out-of-town visits. This place was nice like the others. Drury Inn has many unique offerings: Evening social - includes 2 free drinks, snack foods, soda, etc. as well as popcorn and soda in the lobby. They also have a very nice free breakfast - biscuits/gravy, cereal, yogurts, eggs, waffles, etc. This location also had a connected indoor/outdoor pool and whirlpool. It also has a small fitness center. The staff was very helpful and friendly. This hotel is located near several restaurants and shopping venues. Great place to stop! read more

Rooms are outdated. The couch in our room was stained pretty bad. The mattress on the hideaway was stained bad too and sank really bad near your head area. The bathrooms need updating terrible. The rooms are just old and dark. There was a loud thumping noise all day during the day and the staff just said sorry it's our laundry room probably. The breakfast wasn't nothing special at all. I don't know it was ok at best. Well stay somewhere else next time. read more

Everything was WONDERFUL! The room was great...The breakfast buffet was fantastic (We got a chance to meet Ms. Willie who was great!) The front-desk crew was very, very nice. We didn't get a chance to enjoy the dinner snacks, since we were at our son's gymnastics meet. We will probably be back next year for our son's meet and will partake at that time hopefully. We would HIGHLY recommend this hotel!!! It was one of our best hotel experiences in awhile! By the way...Ms. Willie needs to do some commercials for Drury Inn Champaign! It is very small compared to the many I've stayed in. The ice machine is broken (1st floor by pool). The coffee was just hot water.

Do NOT stay or make reservations at this Inn. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I had to cancel reservations and they refused to reimburse me my rewards points. We stayed at the Drury last night after spending the weekend in Champaign. My boyfriend booked the room on Travelocity and paid $70 for a normally $200+ room. The room itself looked a little nicer than a typical hotel room, but was beginning to show a little bit of wear (some wallpaper discoloration by the ceiling, a little bit of peeling). The room did have a huge LG TV (channels were analog and digital), a microwave and mini fridge tucked into a mahogany-colored cabinet under the TV, a big armchair, a desk area, and big fluffy pillows on our king bed. There were also a lot of "freebies": (1) "Dinner" (hotdogs, popcorn, baked potatoes, celery and carrots... the menu varies slightly each day with 2-3 different items rotated into a standard menu) + 3 free drinks (including alcoholic) 5:30-7 (2) Wi-fi and computer access (3) Breakfast (coffee, overly mushy and bland scrambled eggs, sausage patties, cheese, ham cubes, waffles, and biscuits) (4) Long distance calls It was also within a very short walking distance of Lone Star Steakhouse, Culvers, and across the street from Applebees, Cheddar's, and a strip mall. IMO, the shower was the best: the water pressure was wonderful, the water was nice and hot, and I could actually move the shower head up to accommodate my 5'10" height. Fabulous! The staff was also very nice without being fake. All of the areas were clean. I would definitely go to the Drury again. read more

Really hard to argue with anything about this property. Customer service is VERY solid. Bed was comfy, shower was a little small but amenities and water pressure were just fine. Clean, good view, great location (BDubs, Chili's and Red Lobster among other things within walking distance). Wifi was solid. Breakfast was solid. Micro Fridge was a little small, oddly shaped and not very powerful. But I'm picking nits at this point. My new Champaign hotel. read more

Many of the rooms in the hotel are very outdated. The workout room is very poor with almost no weights, no bikes etc. The internet does not function properly. When I asked about the internet it was suggested that I wait until the middle of the night when there would be fewer users. If it a football weekend and there is nothing else available stay here. However if you can find any other lodging in Champaign Urbana please try that first. This is not worth the price. read more

Wasn't impressed at all! I was expecting for it to be clean at least. The sofa sleeper had crumbs on the bed when I pulled it out. The cushions on the sofa were stain. The garbage cans had no bags in them and trash from previous guest. I guess paying a higher price doesn't always mean better quality! Won't be staying here ever again. read more

Willie is the woman who takes care of the Quick start breakfast, quite well I might add! I mist warn you though, if you plan to be in a bad mood, don't go anywhere near this woman!! She is like a big 'ol ray of sunshine! She greets you with a "Good morning hun-neee! Did you sleep good?" and she's sincere about it! She can turn any frown upside down! So, seriously avoid her if you want to be pi$$y all day! Then there's Victor. Victor is the man! He's running that $hi+!! he upgraded us to a suite at no charge because my fiancé stays there often for business. This is a great place to stay for travelers. The room was very clean. We had two queen size beds and each bed had lots of pillows. Every lamp had multiple electrical outlets for charging devices. There was even a 4 outlet strip on both the desk and night stand for charge heaven! There was plenty of towels, shower gel, hair shampoo, and conditioner. This will make me sound like I work for Drury Inn ( I don't), but this place is Great!! After check in, from 5 to 7pm, real mixed drinks (1st one free) free pasta, meatballs, hot dogs , cheese, baked potato, soup, popcorn, nachos. Can't wait to see free breakfast! The place is almost brand new, and very clean. Also small pool and small gym. Our puppy was 15 extra so total was about 115. Free supper and breakfast for the 2 of us not only saved time and also saved about 30 to 40 dollars. I am in the retail business and the most important thing of all to me is the service and how we are treated. I have only been at two of their locations but these are the nicest people I have run into in years of staying in Hotels. read more

I have stayed at many drury inn locations. Have always been happy until champaign. I drive 2 hours with my daughter and friend and her son to have a nice relaxing night and swim. We got to pool and TWO separate birthday parties are going on. At least 30 to 40 kids. Full food spreads set up when no food is allowed in poolroom. Men are smoking and drinking beer at outside pool area where my child is swimming. Granted they have special containers that hide beer cans, but if employees paid attention or looked in garbage can outside they would see the beer cans. There are at least 10 SMALL children piled in hot tub. It says max 4 on sign and no children allowed without adult...haha. Not one adult in pool with 3 dozen kids. I complained to manager, a hotel staff member came in and told the kids not to jump in hot tub. She said nothing about food, overcrowding, lack of parents with children. Then when she left they went back out to smoke and drink. This is a waste of money being here. I will choose other hotel chains in the future that enforce their own posted rules. I sit here with friend, who is in bathing suit just wanting to go in hot tub, but can't cause a million kids, and shake my head at the mother who almost went in pool in full clothing because a small toddler jumped in while no adult watching and went under. Luckily a 5 year old looking girl grabbed her and brought her to stairs. This sucks. Rules mean nothing. I am stuck here tonight, but we can't wait to leave. I want my damn money back. Grrr. Closest drury is 2 hours away, or I wouldn't least demand a room somewhere else tonight. read more

Exactly what I expect from this chain. Newish building in very good shape. Clean rooms with nice bed and tv. This room had extra plugs that were conveniently located for recharging of our electric toys. Our room had marginal wi-fi. The apple toys worked fine and the android ones had the reception fade in and out. Evening snacks were good. Baked potatoes, pasta and meatballs. Chips and salsa also available. The free drinks also included hard liquor. Morning breakfast much better that most motels offerings. read more

First stay here and I would come back. Everything is clean and the staff is great. I was checked in by Ian. Very nice guy. He changed my room so the I got the floor I wanted. They offer a complimentary dinner and three cocktails before 7. Yippee! The food was good not great but I didn't really except much. There was a small salad bar, hot dogs, nachos, pasta, baked potatoes and popcorn. The bartender, Ibai ( I think) made a great Bloody Mary. Both Ian and Ibai, worked the dining room to make sure everything was clean and the guests were happy. I had an issue with the A/C unit and Ian came to my room and fixed it. As someone who travels a lot for business, I'm always on the the lookout for great hotel chains. This one exceeded my expectations. read more

This was the best hotel stay experience my family has ever had. We had never heard of the Drury Inn chain before, but took a chance. They had us at hello! You will not be disappointed with your stay. And if you are, I'm sure they would try to fix it. One suggestion we have for them would be to add flavored coffee creamer to their breakfast station. Seriously, that's it.
