The place is a dump. Construction workers and trucks everywhere in the parking lot. The rooms smell like smoke. There isn't any bathtubs only showers. The carpet is similar to indoor/outdoor carpet. This is not a typical Drury Inn. So sad. This location hurts their brand.

Amazing front desk and excellent service for my 2 dogs and I! Walked in at 7am and Claire was able to accommodate my dogs and I. She put us on the first floor, right next to the doggie area. Room: Super clean and well kept. Fitness Room: Small, but has 3 new ellipticals (touchscreen), 2 treadmills and free weights. All very clean and the room has a TV, Water machine and towels. I ended up using the fitness room 2x once in the morning when I got in and once after dinner. Complimentary Breakfast and Dinner: Eggs Sausage, Cereal, Fruits, Potatoes and drink. It's free so, I had no complaints. I am also vegetarian so they had just enough for me. Doggie area: Very large grassy area in the rear of the hotel and they also provide poop bags. Location: It is next door to Steak and Shake, Olive Garden, a taco join and a steakhouse. All surrounding the hotel and 2 mins to walk to. Safety: Lots of visitors and lots of traffic. Felt super safe at all times. Building: Looks like any other Drury Inn nothing special from the outside. Cost: Stayed for over 24 hours and room was less than $90. DEAL :-)

Note: This hotel was built in 1997 & was renovated in 2013. They said it was supposed to be renovated again in 2020 but postponed due to the pandemic. We stayed in room 420, about two-thirds of the length of the building from the front desk. The internet connectivity is terrible... very weak to no signal when trying to use my laptop in my room. I took my laptop out into the hall & walked toward the front of the hotel where it finally connected. I would recommend booking a room closer to the front of the hotel where the signal strength is greater. The same situation happened to me at the Holiday Inn in Taylorville, IL & was able to change rooms. It's aggravating when you have unpacked everything & later after settling in find out you can't connect to their internet. First morning at breakfast, the gravy for the biscuits was watery. The second morning was what should be expected. First evening the dinner was great. The pics posted are from dinner on the second evening we were there... fried rice with chicken, broccoli & salad. More stalk chunks with hardly any broccoli florets (see pics). Time to update their internet service & rethink their dinner menu or find a new supplier.

It was a $91/night stay for a last minute room on a Friday. The price included much more than a room! Beer, wine and mixed drinks (3 included per adult per room during happy hour), dinner option -- during our stay it was tacos -- popcorn and soda free all night, a heated indoor/outdoor pool, fitness center, business center and then a FULL breakfast the next morning. I'm talking biscuit and gravy and sausage and scrambled eggs and granola and cereal and fresh made waffles and pastry options. Juice and coffee and fresh fruit. Eat in the oversized dining room in front of the picture windows or take your plate back to the room for breakfast in bed! Room was comfortable, clean and spacious. Not luxury in term of pillows and mattress comfort, but just perfect for a couple night stay. And you can't be the price! The extras certainly don't cost extra at this hotel!

I don't understand the "this place is so dated" mentality. This is Missouri after all and the Drury is one of the best mid range hotels in the state. They are by and large, friendly and professional. The rooms are always super clean, the beds very comfortable and the pillows are always fat and fluffy. You get a card for 3 free drinks during happy hour, free decent dinner apps and a very good, free breakfast. The morning I was there, an ice storm had made Springfield a skating rink and a lady who was getting ready to leave, was afraid of the slippery parking lot. The young lady at the counter offered 5o help the lady get to the car or even drive her car to the front door. Very nice. I'm NEVER disappointed with a stay at the Drury and this location was no different. Btw, 6our furry friends are welcome!

Henceforth, this shall be called The Rockin Route 66 Drury." This is a very cool, very hip Drury. Love the remodeled look and feel and choices. All of the artwork is local too! It's all very cool.

First off, the GM at this hotel was total scum. He was beyond rude. The other employees, however, were extremely pleasant and very helpful during our stay. Our rooms were adequate and the food service was decent but let me get to the part that's the most disturbing! On the morning we were leaving, turns out some jerks decided to vandalize 10 (TEN!) vehicles in the hotel's parking lot by smashing in their windows. TEN CARS! And what did the hotel do? Absolutely nothing. When I stepped out of the hotel with my bags, the SOB General Manager had this dumb smirk on his face like "oOOooo, it might've been your carrrrrrrr." Well, it wasn't my car, but the vandalism did happen to a very good friend of mine. The hotel didn't even call the police! All they did was take out the shards, wrapped the window and forced her home. Turns out they didn't have any cameras equipped outside and it was not the first time it's happened at their hotel! WTF! Yelpers, please reconsider if you plan on staying here. You do not want this happening to your car, or worse, your rental!

Flew to Missouri from California, and this hotel is directly across the street from the hospital. Could not have asked for a better experience. The hotel is directly across the street from the hospital, so it was a very easy walk to get to and from seeing our family member. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly, and very accommodating. We were able to add days and end our stay without any sort of advanced notice, of course, because we did not really know what would be happening. When we did leave, we were given a late-late checkout on request, I really could not say enough wonderful things about how nice it was to not have to worry about our hotel stay. I would give them infinite gold stars if possible. Thank you.

It's also a pretty safe neighborhood, which is nice since parking is in an open lot, not a garage. It's a basic TownePlace Suites. It has good-sized rooms with comfortable beds and a fold-out sofa, basic cooking facilities, a work station and the usual amenities including iron and board. There is also a complementary breakfast, and a few others, including a workout room. Service was generally pretty good. I couldn't find my hair dryer on my first day (heading into a meeting), and the front desk attendant had one to my room within minutes. However, there were several other issues with this property. First, the shower in my guest room was barely warm. Even after receiving assurance from the front desk that maintenance would look after it, it was no better. There is a lobby bar where the attentive bartender pours drinks and offers appetizers from Tuesdays through Saturdays, but the quesadilla on offer was HORRIBLE! Whatever was supposed to be the tortilla (and it was NOT a traditional flour tortilla) had the consistency - and flavor - of cardboard. When I asked the bartender what kind it was, she admitted she didn't know, but suspected it was some kind of "healthy option." One does not order a quesadilla to be healthy. Third, the hotel has a shared computer (not exactly a business center) but requires a log-on for Word or Excel, which makes it pretty useless for anything except surfing the web. Even the credentials provided by the front desk didn't work. On two of the three nights I stayed there, the hotel hosted a fair number of kids' sports teams. That meant the noise level went up, kids running in the halls, and a breakfast room that was pretty well overrun both mornings. Fortunately, there are other restaurants close by, providing options to avoid the crazy. It's not the best TownePlace Suites at which I've stayed (and I've stayed at plenty) but if the location is convenient and the price suits your budget, I wouldn't steer you away.

I'm so glad I did. The moment I stepped into the stylish, contemporary lobby, I felt like I'd walked into a boutique hotel in SoHo. The design is chic, modern, and full of personality. I arrived early and was pleasantly surprised to get access to my room right away -- a spacious, beautifully appointed room on the fourth floor of the hotel's main building. (Tip: there's a second building across the alley in back, so if location matters to you, be sure to ask which one you're in.) My room was terrific -- upscale furnishings, high ceilings, and a bed so comfortable I wanted to bring it home with me. Great mattress, perfect pillows -- everything you hope for in a good night's sleep. As luck would have it, the hotel was celebrating its 10-year anniversary with a lobby reception just as I was heading out to a meeting. The place had a celebratory buzz. When I returned, I made a beeline to Vantage, the rooftop bar, for an Old Fashioned. They were out of Angel's Envy (my go-to), but the bartender made a solid one with Woodford Reserve. A quick evening shower made the rooftop a bit humid, so I headed downstairs to The Order, the hotel's lobby bar -- equally impressive, with a standout liquor selection and, yes, Angel's Envy in stock. Round two. The next morning, I hit their fitness room in the back building, followed by a run through downtown. Afterward, I grabbed a surprisingly good $10 breakfast burrito from the on-site café. My only real quibble: no complimentary coffee in the lobby. For a boutique hotel of this caliber, it's a small thing that would make a big difference. Overall, Hotel Vandivort delivered style, comfort, and a memorable experience. If you're heading to Springfield and want something with personality and polish -- stay here. Highly recommended.

Andrea is always helpful and love the cooked to order items here. The rooms, however, are getting so rundown through the years. It was cheesy in a completely awesome way. Shove the kids in the wagon & let's hit the open road! Could it be improved on? Sure... but it was clean, comfortably & achieved it's goal. Bonus, it was quiet, despite being along the road. We noted the addition of some new themed rooms, including a lovely western room. I like to see the progress and hope to see refreshes on some of the classics. Breakfast was available & worth skipping. It seriously was not good. The hot tub has been removed and covered with a deck. It's, again, true to the original era. While checking out the grounds, we overheard staff discussing the importance of, and plan for, improving curb appeal. We truly enjoyed our stay & needed something not so serious, something playful.
