We enjoyed staying here for the night. Very close to the highway. Convenient! There are a few restaurants close by, Ruby Tuesday, Waffle House, Steak & Shake, and Cracker Barrel. Not high end but good. The area is a little sketchy, lots of people begging on the street. But the people at the hotel were good. Breakfast was good. Lots of choices! Waffles were good, good selection for breakfast sandwiches. Oatmeal, cereal, muffins.... They keep everything stocked, fresh and hot. Bonus...they had croissants already split for an upgraded breakfast sandwich. We loved that the hours for breakfast were 6-10 am. I'm a late riser and love that. Plus plenty of seating so it wasn't crowded. The room was very clean and the bed ahhh so comfy! We didn't use the gym but it was nice that it was open 24 hours. Normally Diamond members get a snack and water when they check in. No snacks here, but the water in fridge in the room was a nice surprise. I love that the products in the bathroom are awesome! I am a big fan of Home2 Suites, but this one disappointed me this trip. My wife and I had a King Suite. My choice because these are roomy and comfortable. Well, it was filthy. Bad service is a reflection of the quality of management. It rests solely on the managers shoulders. I sat down at the desk work area, unpacked my computer and began to set it up. There were several long curly hairs on the desk. It had not been wiped down. In the bathroom, the toilet had hair on the seat, on the rim under the seat and on the tank. There were clean towels. I got a washrag and wiped things down. Also, a ring of mold or something at the water line in the toilet. After my experience checking in with the lethargic front desk staff, I figured complaining would be a waste of time. I was unpacked. I really didn't want to drag everything to another room. In the bedroom the night stands had a collection of dust. Probably never dusted. The next morning, pulled back the shower door to find more hair. Long hair, short hair, curly hair, lots of hair. This room had not been cleaned at all. So, what do you think the likelihood was, that the hotel staff changed the bed linen. Yeah, I didn't think so either. I'm burning my pajamas when I get home. Next morning there was a manager on duty. I informed him of the problem and that the Springfield Home2 Suites will not be my choice in the future. I didn't ask for it, but I see from my credit card statement, that a portion of the charge was credited back to my account. Enough for my wife to buy new pajamas. Thank you. read more

We had a excellent time at this hotel. LOVE LOVE LOVE! The room was very spacious. The bed was super comfy. They have actual King size pillows. The sheets were nice & blankets were warm super fuzzy cozy comfortable. The bathroom was modern & super clean. The kitchen area was very nice. The only bad thing was the brekkie was horrible. The local management was awful. My parents got an ada room and when showering the seat failed and broke and the only employee on duty helped but when attempting to contact his manager he refused to come help. No concern for safety or wellbeing and a flagrant disregard for their guests medical well being when it was their own negligence that caused it. Hilton HQ was even worse, no process only deferring back to local hotel management. Choose somewhere else. read more

Traveled during the pandemic driving cross country for a family emergency and when neither my husband or myself could stay awake anymore, I found this hotel. Called the hotel and Josh assisted me over the phone, booked my room for me and it only took a few minutes. I knew I had a Hilton Honors Member Number but I didn't have any info on me and he was able to easily look it up for me. Previous place that I stayed at wasn't as helpful so it was refreshing to be helped by someone so willing to help esp when I was so tired. We arrived 1 hr after I booked and all he needed to see was my I.D. and for me to swipe my credit card but he had my room keys ready to go and the process took like than a minute. 2 beds, sofa, kitchenette, fridge, desk. I was pleasantly surprised about how much room we had and it was very clean which during this pandemic, I was wiping down everything anyway but it was cleaner than some of the places that we've stayed at during this trip. Weird thing though, all the other rooms had the stickers on the door that said something like "Cleaned and sanitized" but ours didn't have one. We just slept for the night and we took off the next morning. The gist: would stay here again. read more

I always stay at Hilton properties and usually like Home2 Suites because they are fairly new. If new, this one has aged rapidly and I won't choose it again. When I arrived in my room, the bed looked unusual & concerned me. Had someone cleaned the room & run short on time I making the bed? As I walked around it, there seems to be an indentation on one side as if someone sat on the bed. The pillows weren't neatly placed as usual. Something was askew. I had to go to the lobby anyway, so I snapped photos of the bed & bedding & asked the desk clerk, "Is this right? Or has someone sat on or slept in the bed?" She assured me the bed was made properly prior to my arrival and she said the housekeeper was told by her supervisor to straighten the bedding, but she must've yanked it hastily & left it askew. I was also concerned because there is no comforter, just a nice coverlet & a bizarre middle piece between coverlet & sheets that looks like a mattress pad with dust ruffle attached; I've never seen bedding like that and when I examined it, mine was upside down with raw seams up. Desk clerk assured me it's not a mattress pad or dust ruffle; she didn't offer to move my room & I didn't ask. I returned to my room and noticed the door deadbolt latch doesn't work, making me further uncomfortable with my accommodations. I tested door security from outside the room & convinced myself it was adequate for the night. In the bathroom, I noticed grime in the tile and areas surrounding shower. Photographed. This isn't Hilton's typical quality. Housekeeping isn't keeping up with the cleaning and the property is getting run down. No Hilton Lysol stickers on doors as is routine for most Hilton properties during pandemic. I suspect this location has management & staffing issues; maybe they will have to pay housekeepers more in order to attract, train, & keep a quality team. Management must lead by example & coach and support their staff properly to clean the rooms in the manner expected by Hilton & Hilton guests, and proprietor must permit sufficient time to get it done properly to preserve their property. I don't get to travel for work nearly as often as I used to, and I usually love checking into my nicely appointed clean & comfortable room at a Hampton Inn & Suites or Doubletree or Home2Suites. This was disappointing enough that I'm writing this review at 3:00am to remind myself not to stay here in the future. Fairly close to I-44 on north side of Springfield. read more

Attempted to reach out regarding my stay, haven't heard back, so I'll post my review. I was unable to interact with the staff, since they chose not to wear masks. Good location, and a nice facility, pool appears well maintained. Unfortunately the room cleanliness left much to be desired. The ice bucket had warm, slightly smelly water in it, the dishes in the dishwasher were dirty, so were the ones on the shelf. Similarly, there was a used coffee packet in the machine. Trash in the hallways from New Years celebrations. The most important issue was tape covering the outside of peep holes. Made me very uncomfortable, from a security standpoint and I mentioned it to the customer service line. read more

We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The room was nice & clean & out front, there is a really quaint seating area with a fire pit. Mostly though, this review is what it is because of everyone who works at the front desk. I travel A LOT & I've never dealt with a nicer, more accommodating group of people and no, this isn't a fake review. Lol. There were plenty of people working up front & I felt like they all wanted to help. They all chimed in on questions I had about the hotel & the area. It was a really nice, refreshing experience. Had an issue with scheduling and missed it. Unfortunately, I was unaware of the incorrect dates on my reservation. I requested a refund and was denied. Ive tried contact them multiple times with no success. Being a long time business traveler I was really surprised with the response I received. I do not recommend this location. read more

We were happy with our overnight stay. Rooms are spacious with full size refrigerator. It appears to be a newish property & all of the furnishings are in good shape. The room was very clean. Covid protocols are in place and most guests wore masks. Breakfast was a hot breakfast which was nice & unusual for this time. It is pet friendly & there were quite a few guests with dogs. If you have allergies, it may not be good. We highly recommend and will stay here again. read more

Stayed 1 night for a quick Mom/Daughter Day at the Wonders of Wildlife and was not disappointed. Room was more than adequate with 2 double beds, sleeper sofa in a "living room" area that can be separated by thick curtain, and a kitchenette better than any hotel not designed for long term stays. Nice gym and outdoor patio area. Grounds and parking lot are very clean. Had minimal interaction with hotel staff due to using the digital key everywhere, but when were did run into staff, they were all very polite. Pool is nice but a little on the small side considering how well this hotel caters to families. While we were there, the pool was bathwater warm (yuck) and cloudy. I work at a pool a few times a week; this wasn't right. Hotel and grounds are very clean but hotel can be easily missed at night. Entrance is off a service road and there is a small sign right at the drive where you should turn, but it's between two other hotels. Overall, this hotel sold me on the Home2 Suites line. We're already fans of Hilton but if Home2 Suites is an option, especially when traveling as a family, I will probably always book them going forward. read more

First off, the reason I'm giving two stars as opposed to only one is due to the two gentlemen at the front desk who seemed to be handling a myriad of complaints sort of all at the same time. However, despite Home2 in general being a great place to stay, this location is suffering from a significant managerial/ housekeeping problem. We checked in during the early evening hours on a weeknight and found our room absolutely disgusting. There was clear evidence of a less than lackadaisical effort in cleaning the room. Food crumbs in abundance in drawers and covering the top of the fridge, precious occupants trash, dishes cartoonishly thrown in the dishwasher where housekeeping is supposed to be running and leaving for the next guest. Used towels in the bathroom as well as the previous occupants razor and clearly evident body hair covering the shower. Despite it being difficult to find accommodations for my large family, we decided to depart after losing confidence in the staff (if what we can plainly see is wrong, what about what isn't obvious, such as the sheets being laundered) . read more

I stayed a week ago. During my stay, I woke up at 0330 to itching of my face. I looked around and did not see anything so I took Benadryl. I thought of waking up my husband but with two young children, I didn't want to make a scene. Throughout the next day my face intermittently got swollen, became itchy and painful. At one point the swelling wrapped around my neck to the point of interfering with swallowing and breathing. I ended up in the ER with IV fluids, IV antihistamines, IV steroids, and IV antibiotics. I was also put on oral medications. During the ER visit the doctor confirmed I had been bit multiple times by bedbugs. I immediately called the hotel who advised the manager would contact me the next day. The next day I talked to the manager. Pest control showed up after 1.5 days of reporting and reported that no bed bugs were found, therefore Hilton said they are not to blame and took no responsibility. I have been debating if I should post a review since their report states not bed bugs were found but after speaking with several people about it, they all encouraged I write the review to warn others. Whether bed bugs were found or not, this was the only hotel I stayed at and the bites occurred in the middle of the night while my face was laying on one of their pillows in one of their rooms. This situation was beyond terrifying. It has been a major lesson for myself and my family. Check your rooms before staying and if something happens, even if you initially think it's not a big deal, report it to the front desk immediately. read more

Nice rooms, very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. I'm sure we will stay here again someday. That being said, there a a couple things they should do to make the place better. We noticed ants in our room, they seemed to migrate around the air conditioner and the bed. The air conditioner may need some servicing, as it didn't seem to cool down all that well, but it at least kept the room comfortable. The pool was freezing cold, and was way over crowded. Would have been nice to of had a hot tub to relax in. The continental breakfast was ok, but could have used a few extra items. Other than that, we really enjoyed ourselves, and I have a feeling we will stay here again next time. read more

They opened about 5 months ago at the time of this writing (May), and I can say that I am overall very impressed. Upon entering we were immediately greeted and checked in. Very easy and painless process. We were even offered bottles of water. Because this facility is so new, all the fixtures are in great shape and really clean. Overall, we loved the present-ability of the hotel. We did visit the pool. There is also a full-size fitness center. The pool area is nice and clean with decent seating and plenty of towels. And the towels are actually full-sized and not like a typical hotel with hand-towel sized towels! Now, the water was cool, so I don't believe there is a heater in it. The water is a salt-saline solution and uses no chlorine or harsh chemicals. Our room was 207. When you walk into the room, you are greeted to a nice kitchenette with a medium size fridge and freezer, a full size sink with disposal and an automatic dishwasher. While there is a fridge, there is no cooktop, HOWEVER, you may request a portable electric cooktop from the desk to bring it to your room, if you so desire. You have full glassware, flatware and tableware. Storage is not short here. There is plenty! Nice working table with ergonomic chair. There is a sleeper sofa that looks cool. Like it's from the 70's. The lamps contain power outlets and USB ports. There is a curtain divider for the room which can pull out or in. Very nice. Our room had a king bed. It was comfortable and clean. The curtains are a light-blocking blackout style. Overall, this is a great place to stay!! read more

Room was ok, breakfast was wrapped up and you had to heat. There are dogs all over the place. I asked to move my future reservation to a room that does not allow dogs and was told that all rooms are pet friendly. I will try to remember not to stay here anymore. I called the Hilton Honors Advance Purchase to have my future reservation that is a month away changed to the Hampton Inn next door and was told that I have to pay extra fees in order to transfer to the other hotel. Very disappointed with Hilton customer support. Oh, I had to wait 5 minutes for coffee to be brewed at 7:30 am. Very disappointed. read more

We really enjoyed this hotel. Big comfortable clean rooms, the sheets were the softest I have ever had at ANY hotel -- even other Hilton hotels! The staff was welcoming & kind. They allowed our group of high school soccer players & parents (about 71 total) to use their conference room for the 3 days we were there for free. That is excellent customer service. Check in & out was easy -- we were even allowed to choose our room before we arrived. They include a breakfast with the room, but we didn't get to it -- but a nice value add. All in all we would highly recommend this hotel. read more

I don't think any hotel deserves 5 stars because there always seems to be something missing, broken or not right. This place exceeded my expectations though. There was still some little annoyances but after almost 3 weeks on the road and a bunch of different states and hotels I was finally able to relax here. We stayed here for one night. In the past we have been extremely happy with Home 2 Suites but this one not so much. The bed was made but sheets were not changed from previous occupant. They smelled of men's cologne. There was a note on the bed saying they only deep clean the room and change the sheets every five days. There were popcorn kernels on the floor as well as other miscellaneous junk. The pad of paper in the room had writing on it. The staff was not very friendly and did not seem to care about our issues. I will not be staying at this location ever again. read more
