Very spacious room. Bed was super comfy :))
    Cheri Y.

We had a excellent time at this hotel. LOVE LOVE LOVE! The room was very spacious. The bed was super comfy. They have actual King size pillows. The sheets were nice & blankets were warm super fuzzy cozy comfortable. The bathroom was modern & super clean. The kitchen area was very nice. The only bad thing was the brekkie was horrible. But we got our Hilton Points! Would def stay here again! Highly recommend! :))

Traveled during the pandemic driving cross country for a family emergency and when neither my husband or myself could stay awake anymore, I found this hotel. Called the hotel and Josh assisted me over the phone, booked my room for me and it only took a few minutes. I knew I had a Hilton Honors Member Number but I didn't have any info on me and he was able to easily look it up for me. Previous place that I stayed at wasn't as helpful so it was refreshing to be helped by someone so willing to help esp when I was so tired. We arrived 1 hr after I booked and all he needed to see was my I.D. and for me to swipe my credit card but he had my room keys ready to go and the process took like than a minute. 2 beds, sofa, kitchenette, fridge, desk. I was pleasantly surprised about how much room we had and it was very clean which during this pandemic, I was wiping down everything anyway but it was cleaner than some of the places that we've stayed at during this trip. Weird thing though, all the other rooms had the stickers on the door that said something like "Cleaned and sanitized" but ours didn't have one. We just slept for the night and we took off the next morning. The gist: would stay here again.

    Sloppily made bed

I always stay at Hilton properties and usually like Home2 Suites because they are fairly new. If new, this one has aged rapidly and I won't choose it again. When I arrived in my room, the bed looked unusual & concerned me. Had someone cleaned the room & run short on time I making the bed? As I walked around it, there seems to be an indentation on one side as if someone sat on the bed. The pillows weren't neatly placed as usual. Something was askew. I had to go to the lobby anyway, so I snapped photos of the bed & bedding & asked the desk clerk, "Is this right? Or has someone sat on or slept in the bed?" She assured me the bed was made properly prior to my arrival and she said the housekeeper was told by her supervisor to straighten the bedding, but she must've yanked it hastily & left it askew. I was also concerned because there is no comforter, just a nice coverlet & a bizarre middle piece between coverlet & sheets that looks like a mattress pad with dust ruffle attached; I've never seen bedding like that and when I examined it, mine was upside down with raw seams up. Desk clerk assured me it's not a mattress pad or dust ruffle; she didn't offer to move my room & I didn't ask. I returned to my room and noticed the door deadbolt latch doesn't work, making me further uncomfortable with my accommodations. I tested door security from outside the room & convinced myself it was adequate for the night. In the bathroom, I noticed grime in the tile and areas surrounding shower. Photographed. This isn't Hilton's typical quality. Housekeeping isn't keeping up with the cleaning and the property is getting run down. No Hilton Lysol stickers on doors as is routine for most Hilton properties during pandemic. I suspect this location has management & staffing issues; maybe they will have to pay housekeepers more in order to attract, train, & keep a quality team. Management must lead by example & coach and support their staff properly to clean the rooms in the manner expected by Hilton & Hilton guests, and proprietor must permit sufficient time to get it done properly to preserve their property. I don't get to travel for work nearly as often as I used to, and I usually love checking into my nicely appointed clean & comfortable room at a Hampton Inn & Suites or Doubletree or Home2Suites. This was disappointing enough that I'm writing this review at 3:00am to remind myself not to stay here in the future. Fairly close to I-44 on north side of Springfield.

    Tape over holes

Attempted to reach out regarding my stay, haven't heard back, so I'll post my review. I was unable to interact with the staff, since they chose not to wear masks. Good location, and a nice facility, pool appears well maintained. Unfortunately the room cleanliness left much to be desired. The ice bucket had warm, slightly smelly water in it, the dishes in the dishwasher were dirty, so were the ones on the shelf. Similarly, there was a used coffee packet in the machine. Trash in the hallways from New Years celebrations. The most important issue was tape covering the outside of peep holes. Made me very uncomfortable, from a security standpoint and I mentioned it to the customer service line.

    "Living Room"
    Lauren W.

Stayed 1 night for a quick Mom/Daughter Day at the Wonders of Wildlife and was not disappointed. Room was more than adequate with 2 double beds, sleeper sofa in a "living room" area that can be separated by thick curtain, and a kitchenette better than any hotel not designed for long term stays. Nice gym and outdoor patio area. Grounds and parking lot are very clean. Had minimal interaction with hotel staff due to using the digital key everywhere, but when were did run into staff, they were all very polite. Pool is nice but a little on the small side considering how well this hotel caters to families. While we were there, the pool was bathwater warm (yuck) and cloudy. I work at a pool a few times a week; this wasn't right. Hotel and grounds are very clean but hotel can be easily missed at night. Entrance is off a service road and there is a small sign right at the drive where you should turn, but it's between two other hotels. Overall, this hotel sold me on the Home2 Suites line. We're already fans of Hilton but if Home2 Suites is an option, especially when traveling as a family, I will probably always book them going forward.

Flew to Missouri from California, and this hotel is directly across the street from the hospital. Could not have asked for a better experience. The hotel is directly across the street from the hospital, so it was a very easy walk to get to and from seeing our family member. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly, and very accommodating. We were able to add days and end our stay without any sort of advanced notice, of course, because we did not really know what would be happening. When we did leave, we were given a late-late checkout on request, I really could not say enough wonderful things about how nice it was to not have to worry about our hotel stay. I would give them infinite gold stars if possible. Thank you.

It's also a pretty safe neighborhood, which is nice since parking is in an open lot, not a garage. It's a basic TownePlace Suites. It has good-sized rooms with comfortable beds and a fold-out sofa, basic cooking facilities, a work station and the usual amenities including iron and board. There is also a complementary breakfast, and a few others, including a workout room. Service was generally pretty good. I couldn't find my hair dryer on my first day (heading into a meeting), and the front desk attendant had one to my room within minutes. However, there were several other issues with this property. First, the shower in my guest room was barely warm. Even after receiving assurance from the front desk that maintenance would look after it, it was no better. There is a lobby bar where the attentive bartender pours drinks and offers appetizers from Tuesdays through Saturdays, but the quesadilla on offer was HORRIBLE! Whatever was supposed to be the tortilla (and it was NOT a traditional flour tortilla) had the consistency - and flavor - of cardboard. When I asked the bartender what kind it was, she admitted she didn't know, but suspected it was some kind of "healthy option." One does not order a quesadilla to be healthy. Third, the hotel has a shared computer (not exactly a business center) but requires a log-on for Word or Excel, which makes it pretty useless for anything except surfing the web. Even the credentials provided by the front desk didn't work. On two of the three nights I stayed there, the hotel hosted a fair number of kids' sports teams. That meant the noise level went up, kids running in the halls, and a breakfast room that was pretty well overrun both mornings. Fortunately, there are other restaurants close by, providing options to avoid the crazy. It's not the best TownePlace Suites at which I've stayed (and I've stayed at plenty) but if the location is convenient and the price suits your budget, I wouldn't steer you away.

I'm so glad I did. The moment I stepped into the stylish, contemporary lobby, I felt like I'd walked into a boutique hotel in SoHo. The design is chic, modern, and full of personality. I arrived early and was pleasantly surprised to get access to my room right away -- a spacious, beautifully appointed room on the fourth floor of the hotel's main building. (Tip: there's a second building across the alley in back, so if location matters to you, be sure to ask which one you're in.) My room was terrific -- upscale furnishings, high ceilings, and a bed so comfortable I wanted to bring it home with me. Great mattress, perfect pillows -- everything you hope for in a good night's sleep. As luck would have it, the hotel was celebrating its 10-year anniversary with a lobby reception just as I was heading out to a meeting. The place had a celebratory buzz. When I returned, I made a beeline to Vantage, the rooftop bar, for an Old Fashioned. They were out of Angel's Envy (my go-to), but the bartender made a solid one with Woodford Reserve. A quick evening shower made the rooftop a bit humid, so I headed downstairs to The Order, the hotel's lobby bar -- equally impressive, with a standout liquor selection and, yes, Angel's Envy in stock. Round two. The next morning, I hit their fitness room in the back building, followed by a run through downtown. Afterward, I grabbed a surprisingly good $10 breakfast burrito from the on-site café. My only real quibble: no complimentary coffee in the lobby. For a boutique hotel of this caliber, it's a small thing that would make a big difference. Overall, Hotel Vandivort delivered style, comfort, and a memorable experience. If you're heading to Springfield and want something with personality and polish -- stay here. Highly recommended.

Lastly, Springfield is getting booked up so these rooms can be up to 180/200+ per night which is highway robbery since they are so bad. Rest of the adventure was downhill....... I arrived earlier than my 4pm scheduled check-in time, which for most Best Western hotels is not an issue considering my Diamond Select status (yes, I stay at Best Wester hotels quite a bit). Was told by someone at the front desk that unless I paid a $30 early check-in fee, they could not check me in, as they were very busy with cleaning......Normally, I could live with that, but then things went downhill....... Came back later and Ms. Tracy checked us in. We went to our room, and were greeted by a garden of cigarette butts outside the room. So much for the extra time that was needed for cleaning. The room was microscopic, complete with a desk chair that resembled a torture device, had burned out lightbulbs in the bathroom, a sink stopper that was simply sitting in the sink and not connected, and the hair drier was completely missing. The television was smaller than the computer monitor I am writing this review on. Ice machines were also not functional, except for one in a vending area that required a key card to gain entry. For a hotel that claims to be historic, the place has seen better days.
