Have been staying here for years and this HGI is going downhill fast :( First off, the breakfast in the morning is still great. Andrea is always helpful and love the cooked to order items here. The rooms, however, are getting so rundown through the years. My room on the first floor was so muggy, damp and even the carpets were bad. You would not even dare walk on them with bare feet, so gross. Then, the bathroom walls were stained with who knows what. I was there for a week and had two hand towels and one wash cloth. Lastly, Springfield is getting booked up so these rooms can be up to 180/200+ per night which is highway robbery since they are so bad. Sooner or later it will be dropped from the Hilton chain and be made into a Quality Inn or something. read more

The location of this hotel is so convenient to the freeway exits, restaurants and shopping areas. We were there for 3 days for a family reunion and the desk staff was providing top notch customer service the entire time which our group appreciated very much. The breakfast was wonderful every morning and the dining area has plenty of seating. In the evenings we enjoyed gathering on the outside patio at the fire pit. The banquet staff was courteous and attentive. Pretty much all of us really liked our rooms. The handicap accessible room that my mom needed was wonderfully spacious with a roll in shower. Hilton Garden Inn does a really good job with events, the rooms are well kept and the restaurant has a fantastic menu. read more

This is our second time staying in this hotel. We are so happy to be back. This room sleeps 4 people. It's perfect because it gave space between the living room and bedroom. The hotel is super clean. The room came with an empty mini fridge, coffee with coffee pods, microwave , ironing board, safe , extra blankets , and shampoo, conditioner, body wash in the bathroom. The room was perfect for my family and I of three. Room was quiet , staff were super attentive and making sure we had everything we needed. I now look forward to coming here each time I come to Springfield. For those who are interested: this hotel also has breakfast, business center, small gym, indoor pool and a mini store inside to buy any last minute items. Our room smelled bad. Had housekeepers change shower curtains and that helped a little but then found mildew in bathroom. They cleaned that up and it was a little better. I think filters needed to be changed in HVAC. Good location and pretty good restaurant. read more

Great location just off the highway. Hotel is clean and they offer breakfast and dinner. Rooms clean. Check in and out fast and friendly. The bar staff were more interested in talking with existing patrons than serving someone just arriving. Had to wait five minutes until they finished their conversation. They give options to diamond members regarding points, extra points, meals, snacks, etc, which most do not. They charge $40 per night on your card as a deposit for incidentals then keep the money for up to 30 days. I would refuse to do this again. They had a fire alarm at 2 am and let guests stand in the cold without any updates. The KC Chiefs played that night but the hotel TV did not provide it. People watching the game on their phones. This boutique Hilton property is ideally positioned on Republic Road - a quick jaunt to either Glenstone or to Highway 65. I have had the pleasure of staying at this immaculate hotel over a dozen of times and typically for a week or more to visit friends and family in the area. Rooms are spacious and so clean you can actually walk barefoot on the carpets; lobby and restaurant are pristine and inviting; and all of the staff are truly kind and helpful - they go out of their way to supply you on your journey. While all staff are class acts, special shouts out for this stay include Zach, Alby, Doug, Penny, Denis, Kaitlyn and the night crew. Absolutely horrible. We got to the hotel 7/19 and as soon as we got in the room there was trash in the windowsill. The servers were down, which I know wasn't their fault, but they ended up charging my mom about $150 more. They also charged my mom $50 for the breakfast which she already paid to include, which the breakfast wasn't even that good. I would NOT reccomend this place if you're visiting springfield. I stopped at other Hilton's and Marriotts, but none are like this one! Here, All employees are friendly. It's clean and food is great! The Chefs, Bart and Larry, are amazing! I'm from California and I had foods here that I never tasted before! If you are looking for a place to stay, this is the place you wanna come to! I have travelled all over the world and this Hilton in Missouri resembles the international Hilton I have seen in Europe! I also have stayed in other Hilton in Arizona which reminded me of Motel 6 only in pink color! And I mean Motel 6 by every definition!!! Props to this property for making the most of the situation during the COVID pandemic. On the surface the property is clean and well maintained but a UV light finds a few dirty secrets in my room. Thankfully they were in easy to avoid areas. I will give credit to most of the staff as they are professional, courteous and very friendly. Esp Candice working the bar, very personable and great convention. Was disappointed at checkout, as I needed a late checkout and was told no. I am a Diamond Hilton Member and this is actually the first time a late checkout request was denied. I obviously don't have visibility to how many rooms are booked BUT the parking lot wasn't full last night nor this morning so I don't understand why this wasn't possible. Not Military and Veteran friendly. After a long travel we thought we would treat ourselves to a nice hotel. Happy to be told of a modest discount for being Military. We went down to have breakfast and was told that there was no free breakfast because we were Military. We can serve our country but not get a flipping waffle for free. Don't come here and give them an outrageous amount to stay when they do not appreciate the families that give it all to keeping our country safe!!!!!!! Nice and fairly new. Not a ton of stuff around it, but plenty within a short drive. It's a nice green building which is good to know. It fits with the Hilton Garden Inn brand standard with the adjustable beds as well as nice workout facilities and hot breakfast (for a fee). Service was great in the hotel restaurant. read more

We stayperiodically at Hilton Inn Springfield and generally it is what you would expect at a Hilton. Great customer service, conveniently located, comfortable bed, delicious breakfast. My only complaint is the elevators not cleaned let alone disinfected. I'm not sure how often these get wiped down but it looked like it had been awhile. Hopefully someone will tend to this matter sooner than later. read more

First, the hotel itself is nice and staff are very attentive. Something corporate needs to address, though, is the part of town this hotel is located (near a homeless camp!!) and car vandalism their guests are experiencing. My car was broken-into there last weekend (driver's window smashed) and then I heard from another guest his was broken into there the week before!! They have ZERO cameras outside (only inside) and no security patrolling. Not very safe!! And, their management was supposed to call me about my incident--no one called. They didn't offer any sort of comp or any assistance with the claim. Last, their beds are horrible. They have this ridiculous soft to firm "choice" function that does not work and is very uncomfortable. read more

We had a one night stay at this Hilton during some Thanksgiving travel. I really liked this Hilton. It was clean, quiet, and very nice. For a few more dollars than some other places nearby, you really get a really nice room at a relatively new hotel. We didn't have a chance to use them, but the room came with a mini fridge and microwave, which is a nice perk. The bed was super firm, but I found out at checkout that it is adjustable. We arrived around 10p, and the bar/restaurant were closed, so I can't comment on the food. The staff was super nice and friendly even at 10p at night. read more

We've been staying at Hilton Garden Inns only as we have been driving back and forth across the country. This was a great location. They were professional and pleasant on the phone, and in person as well. We found a nice corner to park our car/trailer combo, and headed on inside. Just a note, our GPS couldn't find this address, so we had to punch it into our phones. The lobby was nicely decorated for the holidays, and the woman at the front desk took care of us quickly so we could go on to bed. The only complaint I had about anything was how loud the air conditioner / heater unit was. We were room 316 if you guys want to have a look. I had a truly wonderful experience at this Hilton Garden Inn last week, and I fully plan on staying here next time I'm in SGF. From the moment I checked in, I didn't feel like I was in a typical chain hotel. Every single staff member with whom I interacted was bubbly, personable, and went out of her way to make me feel welcome. I've seriously never experienced such positive interactions at a Hilton/Marriott/fillintheblank. I was only here for a brief one-night stay, so my actual time at the hotel was less than 24 hours. But the hotel provided everything I needed to make that night away from home as good as it could have been while in a foreign bed. I utilized the in-room coffee maker (twice), enjoyed the free wi-fi, and appreciated that the room was spacious enough to get my workout in! Not to mention the bed was actually super comfy! I didn't spend much time in the public areas, nor did I check out the on-site restaurant, but the lobby is quite visually appealing and I could totally see myself enjoying a glass of wine or a bite to eat there. Check in and out was uneventful. No problems at all with noise. Location in the city served us fine. The beds were great - though we couldn't discern much difference between the soft and firm setting. Nice to have a fridge, microwave, safe, and free wifi in the room. Family was especially impressed with the recycling and LEED concerns of this hotel although we wished there were available paper recycling bins as we didn't see any. Great to have coffee/tea/hot cocoa and a little pastry snack available in the lobby. A drawback to all the conservation stuff is that the room lighting is rather poor, particularly if you need to put on makeup! An auxiliary lighted makeup/magnifying mirror in the bathroom would be a great addition. We didn't eat at the hotel at all as there are cheaper/better options. The pool and work-out area looked great but we ran out of time! We'll be back if we're ever again in Springfield, MO. read more

The staff is very attentive and friendly and the breakfast is good. We had a room near us with a large party making loud noise late into the night. We called the front desk after midnight about it and they must have handled it well because the loud laughter and voices stopped pretty quickly. My biggest complaint is the room air system. The front desk had a sample wall unit at their desk and they showed us when we checked in where the control button is located under the unit. We did not want the loud under-window blower fan to be on at all, so we turned the button to "heat", turned the temp way down to 60 degrees, and turned the fan to "off" since there were only "heat - auto - cool" and no "off" options on the thermostat. But, even with the fan to "off", it kept loudly clicking on at intervals. It was after midnight, so we didn't call the front desk because we were already in bed and didn't want a maintenance person sent to the room. Instead, we pulled the sheet over our faces to avoid the blowing air, and finally fell asleep. In the morning, I asked the kind young man at the front desk why it kept coming on even though we had the fan off, and he explained that the only way to prevent it from turning on is to unplug the under-window unit. The hotel has override control and has it set to turn on automatically to keep air circulating. This isn't a good option for people like me whose allergies are aggravated by blowing air, and it's also not good for sleep when you finally are drowsing off and then that loud unit kicks into gear. This is a hotel mechanical issue and not a reflection on the staff. If all Hilton Garden Inns are changing to this new air system where the only way to turn off the air is to risk electrical shock by unplugging that heavy-duty cord, we will have to make it one of our last choices. read more

My first question coming here is where is the garden? Instead this place overlooks the freeway. Not very scenic but it is conveniently located. I like that they allow pets for a $35 fee. They have a heated pool and gym, but I didn't use any of that during my stay. I did try the room service and breakfast here though. The beds at the HIlton have the ability to make your bed softer or firmer with a lever to give it more or less air. I felt that even with the soft setting they were fairly uncomfortable. The room overall was really nice looking. It had two queen beds, a flat screen TV, a desk, free WiFi, a microwave and a mini fridge. Breakfast: for about $10 a person you can order the usual breakfast stuff: eggs, waffles, pancakes. Plus they have a bar where you can get things like cereal, yogurt, oatmeal, fruit, and pastries. I thought it was just okay. I liked the convenience of it and the wide array of options, but nothing wowed me. Dinner room service: I ordered the flat bread white chicken pesto pizza and my husband got the turkey ciabatta sandwich. We were both disappointed with the selection and what we actually ordered. The pizza had so much cheese and very little pesto that I couldn't eat very much of it. One of the worst flatbreads I have had. The turkey ciabatta just wasn't anything special for the price tag. read more

This hotel is located 20 min from Springfield National Airport. The rooms are nice and the beds were comfy. The only reason for not leaving 5 stars is because during our stay there were kids running around playing on the elevators and running up and down the halls on our floor so it was difficult to sleep first. I highly recommend the 5th floor considering the lobby is pretty busy at night. Overall, we were comfortable and the staff was super friendly. The complementary breakfast was a nice touch! read more

We pass through town about every couple of months or so and exclusively stay here. As for location, it is right off the highway and has lots of shopping/restaurants nearby. Very convenient! The overall hotel is very nice! Always clean and always friendly! We have worked out in the gym and there is plenty of equipment to get a nice work out. Like all Hilton Garden Inns, the offer a great breakfast... But FYI it is not free. The room itself is nice. Whatever you do though, don't prepay for the room. I prepaid for two rooms for two nights. We had to leave after the first night and rush home to San Francisco due to a medical emergency. Because we prepaid though, the manager told me we couldn't get a refund for any of it. She would have gone a long way with customer service to have at least offered something given the situation. Clearly not. But again, the rooms are nice. read more

Unsafe parking lot. My recent stay at the Hilton Garden Inn ended terribly. I woke up one morning to find I was the victim of a hit and run. My van had been hit on the front. Of course the driver didn't leave any contact information. At first I thought at least it happened in the Hotel parking lot so there will be cameras that might give the police a chance at identifying the driver. I immediately went to the front desk to ask for help. The lady at the front desk told me the hotel has no cameras and the hotel is not responsible for vehicles in the parking lot. I could not believe a Hilton hotel doesn't have any cameras. She also informed me that the hotel doesn't take any vehicle information down about their guests. They have no idea what vehicles are in their parking lot. She didn't offer to call the police for me or even have me fill out an incident report for the hotel. So I called the police myself and the police would not come out because it was on private property. I had to drive my wrecked van down to the police station to file a police report. The police contacted the Hilton and were also informed that the hotel doesn't have any cameras. Upon checking out I once again asked about cameras and was told the same thing. The lady at the front desk said she wished there were cameras because they have had incidents of theft in the parking lot before but management still chooses to not install cameras. She also informed me that she had the mirrors stolen off her own car in the parking lot. With previous incidents of theft and with how the world is today how can a Hotel like the Hilton not have cameras to protect the safety of their guests and staff? What if it wasn't my van that got hit but myself or another person? The hotel would not be able to provide any information about the driver. This is simply negligence on the part of the Hilton Hotel. They claim to be doing all they can to keep you safe, but yet they aren't willing to install Security cameras? If nothing else I expect to feel safe when I stay at a hotel. I can no longer say that about the Hilton Garden Inn. Stay here at your own risk. read more
