However, when my husband took one of the suit out from the plastic that it came with to wear it again recently, one button was missing from the suit jacket. Extremely polite people and great attention to detail for my virgin wool, and cashmere pieces. They listened to my concerns about the pieces I was taking in due to their value and uniqueness and ensured that it was taken care of the right way even had it ready a few days earlier. As long as I'm in the area they will be the only place I'm taking my clothes to. If you're looking for a dry cleaner look no further this is it. This place is a scam. I brought in 4 shirts and a wind breaker and they told me it will be $28.52. When I came back to pick them up, my total was $40.63. I asked why there was a difference and the lady up front said the price was inaccurate. I asked if they alway just give out random numbers and she said "regular customers know." I'm not sure what that means. When I asked her she just turned away and started doing something else. Moreover, my items were just washed in the washer, not dry cleaned. So I've been in the Kent area for a little while and my old dry cleaners is in Bellevue which is a pain to get to in Kent, so I figured I'd give this place a shot. Strike 1: When I came in to drop of my dry cleaning they had dogs sitting in the same bins as the clothes. Strike 2: When I came to pick up my clothes the first time they randomly decided to close at 4:30pm. Strike 3: I'm a big guy so my shirts are 2XL so there's an up charge. I'm ok with that, they gave me a receipt with a quote with the up charge price so I knew what the full price was going to be. When I came to pick up my clothes I was told that I was quoted the wrong up-charge price. They gave me an updated receipt but the line item name for the up-charge on my original receipt matched the line item on the updated receipt, the only difference was the new price. When I questioned about the discrepancy they said the person who made the mistake forgot to manually update the price. They could have made this right by explaining the price change for future visits and honoring the quoted price but they chose not to, so I'm choosing to never do business here again. read more

Extremely poor customer service. I brought in a 100% cotton plain shirt with basic running stitch that needed the length shortened. The gentleman approached me without a greeting and said, "hem? $22". I asked if he could look at the shirt and quote the cost for this particular item (because he didn't even see it yet!). Instead of answering my question, he proceeded to lecture me on how people think it's so easy to sew but it's not; how material is stretchy and doesn't sew easy; it takes a long time - 45 mins to do a shirt; and it isn't easy finding a matching thread. This is an unacceptable way to treat a customer! I have used their services once before and he was rude then as well, which I brushed aside because sometimes we have bad days. However, this is a different day, months later, and he is still rude! There are five other businesses within a few miles; I highly recommend customers go there instead. I had my shirt done elsewhere for $11!!! With much better customer service!!!! Unnecessarily lecturing customers deserves zero stars on Yelp. read more

BEWARE! Ruined Coat & Horrible Customer Service! I have shopped at the Fred Meyer Benson Hill for over 20 years, so this was my first experience with DryClean Doctor (as they are new to this location) One week after my initial drop-off, they could not "locate" a coat, which was one of three of my items. The owner's wife was rude and unapologetic. She phoned 5 days later, and said that the coat had been found, and they "were cleaning it again". Upon pickup, the son was at the register. Again, curt, rude, unapologetic about any inconvenience this may have caused. We paid full price for the cleaning, and now discover that the beautiful H&M coat that was originally soft and supple, is now stiff as a board. The entire texture of the material has been changed. Additionally, we later discovered that one item remained stained, although it was not mentioned at time of pickup. First and Last time at Dryclean Doctor for us! read more

I really like this place. They do a fantastic job and have yet to disappoint me. I'm sure they won't. The prices are fair and I never have to wait for someone to help me when I walk in for a drop off or pick up. My only complaint is that they take 5-6 days for a single shirt. I've gone to them many times now and will continue to, it's just that in comparison to previous dry cleaners I've used before moving to Renton, Dry Clean Doctor takes 2-3 more days. That being said, they are VERY BUSY and the people of Renton must know how great they are, so I don't mind the wait for such good service and clean shirts =^) read more

I understand all dry cleaning is a bit pricey, mostly because they corner the market. I mean we all need to utilize it eventually, but holy cow $10 to sew up a one inch hole! The sweatshirt originally cost me $25 so now add another $10 for a tiny hole is ridiculous. Then they say it will be ready Saturday but I'm unable to get it until Monday because of my schedule and they still aren't done. Again, it's a one inch hole, I'm not asking to knit me a sweater from scratch. I'm not one to complain hardly ever but they just rubbed me the wrong way. Moral of the story go the extra mile or two for somewhere different. Oh and my ski jacket cleaning was $22 and there is still stains so overall not impressed. read more

i've been going to them with all of my husbands dress shirts, and they've been great - no complaints. i took my husbands sport coat with an ugly stain on the back that was there forever, and i was sure that it was never going to come out but they got it out! after that i became a dedicated customer. then i trusted them with my husbands BELOVED USMC jacket and i'm pretty sure he wants to be buried in. i was hesitant, naturally, but it turned out great of course and now i take his jacket on a monthly basis. the thing that got me 100% sold on their services is that i trusted them to clean my expensive, custom, delicate wedding dress. i had gotten some kind of wine or red vinegar sauces on the fabric and i was sure that was the end of it forever. 2 weeks later one of the employees texts me updates on my dress and even sent me photos - all clean and practically like new!! i purchased a preservation box through Dry Clean Dr's to keep the dress like new and it was the best thing I ever did. read more

I have used Dry Clean Dr for many years. I was severely disappointed recently and will not utilize them again. I took 4 pairs of slacks in for hemming. First the price was pretty high ($15 per pair??) but I did not want to do it myself, so I went ahead. I took a pair out yesterday to wear and they seemed oddly 'long' (as in the same length I started with!). I did an inner seam check with the new ones and my existing pair. These are the slacks from Macy's that I have worn for years and the inner seam was off exactly one hem length (which is what I had asked to be hemmed). I checked a second pair. Same thing. Went to the cleaners to discuss and come to resolution and the owner argued with me, said he did what I asked for (he clearly did not) and kept arguing. Never offered to discuss a plan of resolution. I finally walked out in anger with my slacks and am out $70 for nothing. And I still have to hem the slacks!! Never again. I was disgusted with their customer service especially being a long term customer. read more
