I have never posted anything like this before. Usually if I have a bad experience with a local merchant, I speak with them about it and then decide whether or not to continue patronizing them. However, I had such a bad experience yesterday, I had to let everyone know. Last week I dropped off some shirts, slacks and sports coat at Frederick's dry cleaners on Mamaroneck Avenue in White Plains. I have used them for many years even though they sometimes have come up short on execution, in my opinion. I told the person there that one of my shirts need a cuff button replaced and that I needed everything back on (last) Thursday because I was going away Friday morning - I dropped off on Monday to make sure they had time. When I went there late Thursday afternoon, I was told that nothing would be in before Friday afternoon, as that was what was put in their system as the date wanted. Having returned, I went there yesterday to pick everything up. When I got there, they told me that they could not clean one of my shirts as it required dry cleaning. This was a cotton shirt that they have cleaned many times i the past. The person I spoke with yesterday agreed that there was nothing to indicate "dry clean only" and had no explanation as to why it wasn't done. I also saw that the cuff button on the shirt was not replaced even though my receipt showed a charge for a button replacement. I then noticed that my sports coat had a 1-2 inch mark on the sleeve from a marker or a pen. The person there called the store manager to let them know that I was extremely unhappy with the service. She then gave the phone to me so I could speak with the manager, who then told me that she didn't want to hear what I had to say and hung up on me. The person in the store called her back and told me that the manger refused to speak with me. Needless to say, I will NEVER patronize Cleaning By Frederick and recommend that no one else does. read more

Simply set up, with just one woman running the show. She was oddly dressed, but hey it was a Saturday morning....Quick and painless drop off of 9 dress shirts and 2 pants, and I believe I received a 1st timer discount. Upon returning to pick up my dry cleaning, I was promptly greeted by the same (oddly dressed) woman and she quickly got my order from the back. All of the clothing was very well taken care of and well packaged. The total bill came out to be $26, so I was relatively pleased. I certainly would come back here if in the area again, hopefully they stay in business because the store front looks quite dated and the location is awkwardly placed squeezed into the middle of a strip mall. read more

We tried this dry cleaner because we were tired of Executive Cleaner's bad service and they turned out to be even worst! My husband gave several shirts to be cleaned but a couple of the shirts came back either torn or missing buttons. What's interesting is that my husband had a conversation with the manager explaining why he was trying his cleaner. You would think he would have asked the staff to give extra care so that we would be impressed and come back but no. If this is how you treat a new customer, I don't need to do business with you. We just never went back to the place again. Can someone open a cleaner where you actually clean and not damage the clothes and press the clothes properly? read more

Don't waste your money here. I picked up dress coat and found that it looked exactly the same as when I dropped it off. Even the cashier agreed that it looked the same (lint, etc). But she still insisted that I pay for the "service". We got the manager on the phone and he also insisted that I still pay since they "tried really hard". I asked them why they didn't just call and let me know that they could not clean the coat and they had no answer! They took $3 off but I still had to pay $23 for a dirty coat. Ridiculous! read more

I work from home so don't use dry cleaners weekly, etc...but when I need something dry cleaned, this is where I go. Convenient location, good pricing, and despite negative reviews I have seen on here, I have only had friendly, helpful employees. Great customer service & I used to work in Customer Service! Also, quick service - needed a dress cleaned for party and was done next day! Recommend!! read more

First and Last time I go to this place. I took two bags of cloths to the store. They took the two bags without giving me a receipt. One of the bags included a hat and now the hat is missing. When I called to ask about the hat...the guy Rick claim there was no hat in the bag when I know I put in a hat. I will stick to my old cleaning place I go to. Worst service EVER when someone goes wrong and you call them to talk to them about it...they have no sympathy...they are all about your money not cloths read more

Dry Cleaning by Fredericks is open seven days a week and drop off and pick up is convenient. The greatest asset this location has is the manager Rick. I love him. This is the only dry cleaner I use and has been for the past five years. read more

I brought our IKEA couch slip cover in as a last ditch effort to get some set in stains out and was surprised by the exceptional customer service. Not only were the stains removed, the owner of the store went out of his way to make the experience a good one. Do not use this drycleaner!!! I very rarely write reviews of anything since I'm very easy to please but this place is so bad I just had to. This drycleaner has ZERO customer service, will give you damaged clothing and will not refund you if your drycleaning takes longer than expected. The manager Rick was so rude. Do yourself a favor and find a different drycleaner. read more

I've been getting my dry cleaning done here for years - I often request next day and a few times have requested same day service with no issues whatsoever. If you want it done quickly and need it back in a rush - this is the place to go. I've tried Executive as well as Blue Jay and they just cant meet my expectations. The staff here is always cool and if I need something "same day" they call me to let me know its done. It doesn't get much better than this ! read more
