very horrible work I dropped off my vest to have two patches done. I went to pick up my vest a week later and one of the patches was not done, no one called me to let me know they could not place it where I wanted it. so I discussed getting it done I had to leave it another day. when I went back my patch was still wrong. the owner was very combative, very argumentative, and very rude. I had him remove the patch and still paid for it. now I am looking for a new taylor! please do not go to these people they are horrible and disrespectful. No stars !! read more

I have been a customer for 17 years. The service has been exemplary. My luxury indulgence is having all of my shirts done, and they've always done a great job. I spend easily $60 per month. Recently (in the last month or 2), there was a change in management. In that time, the new staff has taken a number of my shirts and switched them from "laundered" to "dry-cleaned" AFTER drop-off, when the instructions (mine and the label) were "wash and dry and press". This turned a $40-50 order into a $70 order. When I questioned them on it, I was told that the fabric (flannel) was too thick for the press. The same fabric that they had been laundering for years. Why would someone pay $8-10 to dry-clean a $30 washable flannel shirt? It seems that the new management (or maybe just this one employee) is attempting to find a way to increase their revenue by sticking it to long time dedicated customers. I was treated like I was crazy for questioning them. Sadly, I 'm changing stores. Time to try On the Spot or Robin Hood. read more

Given one quote over the phone and told otherwise in the store. Told $35 on the phone and clarified 1500 times (ok maybe actually 7?.. at least 7 for sure) that the TOTAL price I would owe when I came in would be $35 and told yes. Yes, yes, yes. Numerous times, she Said yes. The question was phrased numerous ways. Then I get to the store and I'm charged $190!!!!! -- more than the cost of the original item mind you-- and then told that I misunderstood. I wasn't the one that misunderstood lol. Don't waste your time like I did please! Go somewhere else. They have high ratings everywhere and don't deserve it, this is ridiculous. To make a long story not so short, I got lipstick all over a suit, a dress and a jacket when I used Dryel, the home dry cleaning kit (oops!). Unfortunately, I needed all of the items that very night for an event. Thanks to my boyfriend's quick thinking as I stood around sobbing because of the mistake, he ran the ruined clothes across the street to Stratford Dry Cleaners (so convenient!) and begged them to see if they could get the lipstick out in only a few short hours, as we had to be on an afternoon ferry. Preparing for the worst, we made a stop at a local clothing store to grab a coup backups, but as we were attending a themes party, the items we originally had were, of course, the best options. Fifteen minutes before the dry cleaner said the items would be ready, my boyfriend went to pick them up, expecting the worst. I literally jumped for joy when he brought in perfectly cleaned clothes looking like nothing had ever happened to them. And it only cost $30 for a rush job! I'll be bringing my dry cleaning to Stratford Dry Cleaners from now on! read more

Believe it or not, some people don't need or have a telephone. It's not mandatory to have one either. But if you can't give Stratford Dry Cleaners your telephone number, you won't be able to have your clothes cleaned and pressed. Why? Because no one has taught them how to use their point-of-sale terminal. I tried to force the issue by explaining they did not require a phone number to press my pants, and they got testy about it.
