We wanted the flag to be fixed only on the frayed section and they took it upon themselves to stitch all the way around the flag without letting us know first if we wanted that done. All in all they charged us $20 per pant to stitch up 2 in. and $13 to repair the flag. Seems a little steep to me. I didn't pay $20 for each pair of pants. I didn't expect a hem to be that much either. The cost for three pieces cost us $57. I know things are expensive everywhere but this just seemed like a money grab to me. The manager/seamstress, was dismissive from the start. Instead of offering her professional opinion on hemming my dress, she simply told me to decide how short I wanted it, without examining the garment or providing any guidance. I basically should have pinned the garment on my own because she was worthless. When I got to the counter, she handed me a waiver. When I politely asked why I needed to sign a formal gown waiver for a jersey knit dress, she responded, "I'm the manager, and you sign it or I I can refuse to do your alterations,". When I continued to ask why this was considered a formal gown, she started removing the pins to say she wasn't doing the work. Scary she is a manager. When I asked who I could contact to share my concerns, she told me to "do my own research and figure it out." That response was unprofessional and completely inconsistent with the service I've received from Alterations Express over the years. I contacted the corporate office and hope the company addresses this hostile employee. no customer should ever be treated that way.
