Great location with cozy indoor and outdoor seating options. Service was friendly and the prices fair. I tried a flight, sampling a lot of different styles of beer and each was tasty. I had time to grab a single pour/pint as well and it was also nice. Some good stouts, lagers, and IPAs. Decor is nice, place is clean. This brewery was one of the few places open on a Sunday that we could find while visiting family who live here. We stopped for some beer after hiking at LBL and ordered pizza from Mellow Mushroom next year. The brewery has Mellow Mushroom menus at its tables. It goes quite well with the beer. Service at the brewery was good although only one person was working. The four of us ordered Apricot Tart, Della Barnes, Paducah Proud, Uncle Luther and Rapture. My favorite was Paducah Proud. The wife liked the Apricot Tart, which she calls delicious. We bought a growler of Paducah Proud, drank that, and returned to refill that one and get a growler of Della Barnes. I'm not a big IPA person, but our nephew liked it. We will go back on our next trip to Paducah. read more

Dry Ground Brewing Company has been my home pub since I was ejected from the Seattle area. While in exile here in Paducah, I have cried in my excellently brewed local beer more times than I can count. So, what do I love about the place? Lets start with the beer. I usually order Preacher Pilsner - a very capable and sturdy pilsner. Occasionally I kick it up a notch and take one of their fine IPAs. If you're lucky, you'll be there when they are doing a one-off IPA that has extended fruit notes. Wow. The servers there are awesome. Especially Marley. But really, they're all very special people. Why? Imagine a new-comer from Seattle bopping into their small town Kentucky pub. I show up with my NW accent and attitude, thinking everyone is going to say something like "Hey wow, you're from Seattle! Aren't you special?" Instead, it was more "Welcome to our pub and we're so sorry you had to live in Seattle ... for 27 years". After a few visits, they knew my beer of choice and my habit of settling at the bar with my journal and fountain pen, quietly writing. I managed to make a few friends in the few months I've been going. Sadly, my company is pulling on my dog collar and hauling me all the way back to Seattle. Visited this brewery for my wife's class reunion. We loved the randomness of their bar taps. Great selection and friendly bartenders. They made great recommendations, and really carried great conversations. You want people like that to be the face of your establishment. It's a cool place to host some small or larger events. One of my favorite places when I come home to visit. It has a great outdoor space and the inside is awesome. I love the bistro lights and the laid back feel that breweries have. The beers are good and the staff is always down to have a convo with you. They have a ton of menus to offer for food options and have board games to borrow for a good time. I really enjoy the fact that they've repurposed this historic building in Paducah and it seems to be a very happening spot every time I'm home. I love the names and illustrations of the beer because they have Paducah references. Such as '37 Flood, Spirit of '56, and Kirchhoff Kolsch. This is my second time in Paducah and I had to check out their beer scene. I was truly impressed. The venue is really cool with both indoor and out door seating. The beer was great. I am an IPA snob and never drink anything else even though I am a SELF proclaimed beer connoisseur. Lol. I really enjoyed the hazy IPA. I would definitely come back for another one. One of the best breweries I have ever been to. I have been driving to Paducah from Kansas almost every month since 2016 for military duty. Dry Ground is always what I look forward to most. The staff is always very nice and willing to explain all the new beer selections to you. We were in Paducah for a day trip from Nashville and decided to try out a local brewery before heading home. I tried all six beers in Flight 2, and, to be honest, wasn't impressed by any. But they also have a few non-DGBC beers on tap, and I had a second round of a beer they offered. So why is this review four stars? This brewery is fun. First of all, it's huge - tons of tables in the main room by the bar, more tables in a slightly hidden room past the bathrooms, and tables outside! It has games! Cornhole and dozens of board games. You can order pizza from Mellow Mushroom (next door) and have it delivered! And the service was great. This brewery has everything you need to stay for several hours: lots of beers, games, tons of seating, and food! If their beers had impressed, I'd be moving in! read more

I love going to a micro brewery and being able to see the big stainless steel tanks of my favorite brew, "beer"! Nice long bar counter with indoor and outdoor seating, lots of draughts on tap to tempt all taste buds even those with discerning palettes! No food but grab a pizza from next door and eat it to the sounds of live music. They evidently have music on a regular basis. I had 7 beers (a flight and 1 full one don't get excited). Of the 7, I just thought 1 beer was decent - a Belgian Brown and that was only after I let it warm up some, otherwise not tons of flavor. I didn't drink much of two others (ESB and '37 Flood). The Fresh Plowed and Adam's Beard, both of which I consider hard to mess up per style weren't that great. They had what looked like 15 beers on tap so that is quite a few but if you are pretty much a beer place the beer needs to be better. The space is pretty awesome, lots of room for...stuff. Mellow Mushroom is right next door. It was hard to call them to get them to deliver to the bar. I feel like there should be a Bat phone at the bar just for calling, only it should be shaped like a pizza. Paducah doesn't have tons of beer places yet so luckily there is still time to work on the beer. read more

We're from Michigan and have talked seriously about driving all the way back to Paducah just to spend another night talking with a friendly bartender about some mighty tasty flights of well-crafted beer. As former "lager and pilsner only" beer drinkers, we really enjoyed the flavor festival but also learned a lot from our barkeep about why those flavors taste the way they do and what makes the ABV ratings vary. We've got a ton of very fine brew pubs and microbreweries in Michigan, but very few of them have given us as memorable and enjoyable a night of barstool camping as Dry Ground. read more

This is my second time here and the second time I had a less than stellar experience. I tried a flight of 6 different beers. Nothing great, nothing terrible. The host was as aloof and unwelcoming as any place I have ever been. He wasn't rude, just couldn't care less I was there, and I was literally his ONLY CUSTOMER. I am an avid brewery visitor/traveler and would suggest if you are in this area, to Google other breweries/brewpubs in the area or state and try them instead. All things happen for a reason as the bartenders were very nice and helpful so we thought why not have a couple drinks in this cool looking place!
