If it weren't for the tasting flight, I would not have purchased a bottle of whiskey! I made a purchase and it safely made it in my suitcase home. - Dryland is close to the parking garage. - Open seating. - Tasting flight available as well as an array of cocktails. The menu lists the drinks by the spirt: Rum, Whiskey, Gin. - There are also shrubs and non-alcoholic beverages for your designated driver. - On the tasting flight, I liked the sheet that described what we were drinking, but what I liked referencing was the menu to see the cocktails that complimented the spirit. Oh my gosh what a hidden jewel. Their front door is off of Main in one of the newer Longmont walkways. They make all the liquors from responsible agriculture. Ask the staff there what exactly that means and you'll hear all about it. The drinks were the best I've ever had. Something about their ingredients and distilling process. They also have small bites that are top notch. Longmont has arrived as a gastro destination. Inside suitably dark and cool, outside patio comfortable with umbrellas and flowers. read more

They had a great variety of drinks. Some snacks as well as an amazing warm cookie. Friendly staff.

Service was great and knowledgeable. They were amenable to me trying something other than gin since I can't do juniper. We ended up with a bottle of tequila and barrel aged rum. Their tequila was very unique and true to its description, fitting more of a mezcal taste than tequila. The barrel aged rum still sits on our bar for the perfect time to make a smoked old fashioned or have poured over a rock. I'm typically a whiskey and bourbon guy, but I was more fascinated with their tequila and rum. Will be back when I'm in town! read more

What can you say about a place like Dry Land? It's incredible. The staff is friendly to guests and clearly passionate about the craft. The vibes are on point, taking you back to simpler times. And the cocktails... man, the cocktails are next level. I've seen the Adobo Cactus bring a friend to tears (seriously). I'm not quite done. The non alcoholic shrubs are impressively delicious and the bar nuts have forever raised the standard for me. Swing by during the holidays for a delectable eggnog flight. But if you still have a sweet tooth come summer time, they serve fresh baked cookies year round. I love that one of my favorite cocktail bars in Boulder County is right here in Longmont. AND you can take home a bottle of your favorite spirit at the end of the night. The chill ambiance, the super friendly staff, a menu full of tasty options. What's not to love. Besides the great drinks, here's a few other highlights: - Weekly Specials: Seasonally delightful, delicious and experimental. There's always something new to try. Hot buttered rum in the winter, refreshing spins on a classic margarita in the summer. - Live Music and Events: I feel like there's always something fun happening, like jazz or a pop-up restaurant. Absolutely amazing location! We happened to stop in yesterday, as they were photographing some new cocktails. The service was undeniably awesome. Such attention to detail and I couldn't have been more happy with the cocktails that were provided. We sat out on the patio and just adored everything about the ambiance. I sipped on the lavender lemonade, a sweet and slightly tangy concoction that made me feel like I was having a spa day in a glass. Sure, the lavender seemed a bit elusive, but they made up for it with a single, blooming lavender flower. A small touch that made all the difference. The vibe was chill at first, offering the perfect atmosphere for unwinding after a hectic day. I must mention, they were a bit tied up with a tasting event, but they managed to be courteous and somewhat attentive. Perhaps going on a quieter night would have been ideal for that quiet and intimate feel I had in mind. Ah! Also the distillery's menu rotates weekly, which keeps things exciting. A little tip: don't rely on the online menu; it's a bit outdated. You definitely want to go in person to see the latest offerings and maybe catch one of their tasting events. The staff explains how they work their magic on the liquors, and it's quite fascinating . Free parking in a nearby garage on Coffman Street, and it's a short walk to a plaza where the distillery is located. Convenience for the win! This is definitely a must visit spot in Longmont if you're into cocktails! I visited with my partner and we tried 2 specialty drinks - a Gin Lemon Drop and a Blood Orange Margarita. Sometimes when visiting distilleries, I find that the drinks are too spirit forward as in each sip tastes like a shot of liquor. I love a good cocktail made with a variety of ingredients where the drink is smooth and enjoyable. I found the cocktails we tried were flavorful, not too sweet and still gave us a good sense of the spirits they distill. The interior features mid-mod furniture and yes, they play real records on their record player! Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable as well. They serve a couple small bites and they do offer a gluten-free and vegan options. I tried the rosemary spiced nuts and they were delicious! Prices were extremely reasonable for wonderful service, top shelf spirits, and a very nice atmosphere! read more

As you take a step back into the past and chill in their "living room" retro style area, notice that the music is being played on an authentic record player. This is the perfect window into the relaxing Dry Land man den. I'm impressed at the use of intimate space and ability to fit a bar, sitting area and tasting bar. I hope they are able to keep the kitschy blast from the past feeling when it gets busier because it is unlike any other distillery set up I've seen. As of now they offer two spirits, cactus mescal and whisky. My Manhattan was well made and I liked the blend of not too sweet with the cherries, but smoothness of the alcohol, despite its youth. The cactus "marg" was very different but very refreshing! I've never tried any kind of cactus related food/drink and was a great alternative to tequila as I'm not usually a tequila drinker. The BEST drink is the Paloma!!!!! A staple drink and never skip! The cocktails were very decently priced and I can't wait to go back. I will be back to enjoy the exceptional vinyl music, classic drinks, and peaceful "living room" of Dry Land. Everyone give it a whirl! Support local and head over because it's worth it! read more

Me and my friend stopped in on a thunder storm colorado hailing friday night (check the limited hours before you drive out). We were in town for a softball tournament and were staying in nearby Mead. Like the reviews say, look for the coffee shop/bar and the stills are in the back. We were greeted by Nells (look for the black rimmed glasses), who happens to also be one of the brewers/distillers. We are whiskey/bourbon fans. Nells gave us a couple samples of the regular whiskey and the higher proof Antero (this is the bomb). I opted for an Old Fashioned with the Antero. Nells then talked us into trying the drink of the day: Mint Julep. Fresh mint, Antero, and some kind of clear liquid wheat alcohol moonshine (Am I getting that right Nells?). This was also smooth and fantastic, especially with fresh mint. Nells then gave us a quick private tour of how everything is made. Dry Land is brewing whiskey, gin, rum, and some other stuff from cactus leaf. Super friendly staff who treated us strangers like we were locals. We are definitely spreading the word about this place. Make sure you ask for Nells! Try it out, if you really like it, you can buy a bottle to take home. Oh and don't forget the nut mix (rosemary, cayenne and other spices) which really bring out the flavors in the drinks! read more

The rum, the rum, the rum. Dry Land makes some unique spirits. They are a small distillery and produce small batch runs and do a fantastic job at it! I talked to the bed distiller and got s tour of the facility. I could tell that distilling is a passion and then product proves it. The rest of the staff is friendly and helpful. I came in. It seemed cool. Some guy walked up on my dogs to say hi which one of them barked twice to say hi back. The whole facade collapsed. I said sorry the one bar tender rolled her eyes at me. Apparently some guy who works there but was sitting at the bar asked her if she having a tough day. Her response "something like that" I even hurried to get out of there to correct the problem but it wasn't good enough. I'm embarrassed I tipped the one bar tender who made my drink cause I guess the tip goes in a community jar. I tried this place three times. To rude. You have to be a certain type to enjoy it here. "Wow!" That is the best way to describe our experience at Dry Land. From the customer service to the drinks, it was all amazing. The owners took their time to explain their products to us, even giving us samples of the alcohols we requested before ordering drinks. If you're a whiskey drinker I recommend the heirloom whiskey. It's smooth and easy to sip, no mixers required. My favorite though is hands down their gin. While I never thought of gin as a sipper , Dry Land's version made me rethink that. I could literally drink it neat, which has never happened for me before. I recommend the "Bees Knees" if you're not sure about drinking the gin straight, it was delicious. In short, we have a new favorite place for drinks in Longmont. We will definitely be back soon. read more

We stopped in while following the Colorado spirits trail and had a great experience. We spoke to the distillers a bit at the bar and sampled a flight of their spirits. The two stand outs were their amazing Colorado only sourced gin which had an amazing taste but did not leave you feeling like you just ate a pine tree and the Cactus Spirit They have 2 whiskys and I liked them both one is made using an heirloom grain which they were the first to use and the second Antero grain which was developed by CSU both whiskys had a great flavor. Now here is one that really surprised me their Cactus spirit huge campfire smoke and a smooth finish. I may have to come back and try more of this one day as it reminded me in a way of a smoky Scotch. The only confusion we had is to get to the Distillery you pass through a coffee shop and we didnt see the distillery at first but this is such a minor thing. If I had to pick a bottle to bring home it would be the gin which they sadly are not selling by the bottle yet. If in the area you should give them a try read more

The staff knows what they're doing it will answer any question you have and some that you don't even know. I don't even like rum and coke!
