Great location and vibes. The whiskey flight is delicious! Would recommend for a date night.

The first thing is that the place was about 2/3 full and they seem pretty well staffed in the front of the house. There were 2-3 bartenders behind the bar at all times. After we ordered (2 cups of lobster bisque and bread), our server apologized and told us there was a large party in their private room and the chef was having a hard time keeping up. I can't imagine they normally only have one person preparing all of the food on a normal Saturday evening! It took no less than 45 minutes from when we ordered to get our food. Some olives or something would have been nice. My mom also had to wait 15 mins for her 2nd glass of wine. I'll tell you, we weren't going to order anything else after that! There was some really nice classical guitar music by a live musician. I tipped him on our way out. After we left, we noticed a $5 entertainment charge! Is this a norm in Colorado? I would think we would be informed upon entering if there's a cover fee or an additional charge. I would have been happy to pay it, but we should have been informed.

Their cacio e pepe martini is my absolute favorite. In Joy!

It was 105 degrees outside and the pavement just holding that heat and reflecting it back to bake all life outside. So naturally, when we arrived at the restaurant taking escape from the heat, another couple chose to sit on the unshaded patio. Martians! No other explanation. But from the cool cool inside by the window we had the most delicious dinner! First they had you a hilarious number of menus, I think there were no less than 7. However, appetizer, drinks, food all superb! The mussels were unique in like a sweet buttery teriyaki sauce. With excellent bread atop. For my cocktail I got the white sangria, and that was one delicious and stiff drink. Raviolli was the only vegetarian entree and though I wish I had more options, loved it. For dessert we ordered the goat cheesecake, and that was an experience... for one it was crustless and did taste very goaty, the sauces on it were the best part though. Should you get stranded in Loveland with aliens, I highly recommend Door 222! The whole area looks like it's going through a renovation and should the weather be slightly less than scorching, seems like a lovely area for a stroll!

Upon entering, We encountered a pleasant young woman at the counter and paid the $5 cover, which was reasonable. Having spent many years in Nashville and still returning to record my new music several times a year, I was taken aback by the $7 price tag on beer--especially when I can get domestics for just $2.50 at Robert's Western World on Broadway in Nashville. After locating the booking manager, I handed him my CD and card. He assured me he would listen to it on his way home in his truck and i even made sure he had cd player and he replied yes i do. Although he mentioned he was booked for a few weeks, he promised to follow up with me. The next day, I reached out via email, and he responded by saying, "I'll send you some booking options tomorrow afternoon." That was a week ago, and I still haven't heard back. As someone who has toured with artists like Tim McGraw and Alan Jackson, I understand what constitutes good, professional music. Unfortunately, the performances I witnessed on Friday night fell far short of that standard. On the positive side, most of the patrons were kind. The bartender, sporting a cowboy hat and a mustache, seemed to lack a sense of humor; it appeared that if he attempted to smile, his face might just crack. In contrast, the waitresses were friendly and attentive. If you're a professional musician seeking gigs, I strongly advise you to steer clear of this venue. The only explanation I can conceive for the lack of response is that the booking manager noticed my somewhat 'left-leaning' social media presence and decided to blacklist me for it. If that's the case, he clearly doesn't belong in this industry, as he wouldn't last two minutes in a more reputable establishment rather than a place like right wing Northern Colorado
