I love makeup and skincare, but absolutely hate doing my hair, so having someone else shampoo, give a little massage, and then dry and style my hair is absolutely worth the splurge. They offer you a complimentary drink (water, coffee, wine...) which is nice, and you can also upgrade your shampoo experience to have a scalp srub, shine treatment, longer massage, etc... Some stylists are better than others of course, meaning some days I love my hair more than others, but I never leave unhappy! read more

Getting your hair done by someone else can be such a blissful experience. Especially when you have lots of it and doing your own hair makes you sweat and or your arms get tired from blow drying or braiding your hair for a long time. I remember as a child my grandma used to French braid my hair and my sister's hair before we went off to school. We'd sit on the floor and wait while she intricately created beautiful updos for us. She would then add flowers to our hair from her many plants and bushes outside to finish it off. As I grew older I've had various experiences getting my hair done, for proms, balls, photo shoots and so on. I had yet to really get my hair done in Omaha and I've always wanted to try the Drybar out. I had a wedding to attend and didn't want to get hot and sweaty figuring out how to do my hair so I decided to make an appointment with my hair stylist who normally cuts and colors my hair. But when the week came around my stylist was sick and had to cancel her appointments. This gave me the opportunity to book here at the drybar. I got there for my appointment and did have to wait about 10 minutes before my stylist was ready. I believe her name was Tanesha, she took me to wash my hair and we headed to the chair. The whole experience was relaxing and calm. I felt a little out of place but it's probably because I don't usually go to these places. I chose the Cosmo Tai and added a half braid along the side. I also added a sealant so it took me upwards of $85 plus tip. I really liked my stylist, she listened to me and executed my hair just the way I was imagining. I enjoyed watching the rom com on the TV that I can't even remember what it was but I like that aspect of my experience. My hair looked great and I'm glad I splurged on myself for the convenience and stress free experience. I don't know if I'll go again anytime soon but I'm thankful it worked out so I'd have a nice hair do for the wedding. read more

DryBar is such a fun, pampering type of experience. You start by checking in, and matching with your stylist. They offer drinks (alcoholic and non!) and light snacks, then whisk you off for a hair wash. I opted for adding a charcoal scalp scrub to my wash ($15), which was nice and relaxing. After that, you choose the style of hair you'd like from their booklet of choices and they start the blowdry/curling process. The whole process from start to finish was around 45 mins. Range of cost is $50-70 before tip. No cuts or color here, just styling and washes. They also offer a lot of brand products which can help you with your styling needs! read more

I have never been to Drybar before and really didn't know much about it. I loved walking into the place. It's bright, it's yellow, it's welcoming. The staff is so sweet! My stylist, Annelise was super cute and explained everything to me in regards to why people come to dry bar and what styles you can choose from. They are not a full service hair salon. Heads up: You do not go to Drybar for a cut and color. You go to Drybar to have your hair washed and styled, and if you don't want to worry about doing it yourself either. I really liked that they had a stool for your feet while getting your hair washed. It was way more comfortable than a typical salon. Overall, you go to Drybar for the experience and it was a wonderful experience that I would go back for! This would be a fun place to take a girl friend, a bachelorette party, or if you're just wanting your hair done prior to an event. I was super nervous about going to the dry bar not knowing what to expect or what "add on's"to put on my online reservation request. I added two "add on's" in addition to my blow dry and glad i did. That was an hour appt. Side note: Add On's are things like hydration shampoo and conditioner, a certain treatment of some sort. Bottom line, Do not worry if you are picking a correct add on. The stylist will assist you on any product based on your hair type when you get there. Just make sure you add any when you book your online appt or your stylist may not have time to do any additional treatments. You can always not do any once you are there. I got Annelise T. who was super nice and very good at styling and advising about hair products. I had a 1pm appointment and got there 10 minutes early. I got right in with no wait. I never felt like my stylist was rush or stressed. It was a very relaxing experience. I requested The Southern Comfort and was very pleased. I look forward to returning! I've gone to Drybar several times. I had the Barfly membership for a few months, which consisted of one blowout a month plus several other discounts for $40/month. The location in Regency is beautiful. I love all the marble, and it's very clean and bright. They always have fun romcoms or similar movies playing. During two of my trips, I was underwhelmed with the style. However, my last blow out was the best my hair has ever looked. I asked for the Mai Thai with lots of volume. The best thing is that the style lasts for days! I also enjoyed a glass of sparkling wine during my visit :) This would be a great place for a girls day, pre-bachelorette party, or if you just feel like pampering yourself. read more

Overall, I love the Drybar company. Their Vegas locations are amaze. I finally decided to check out this Omaha location. It's in the Regency mall area. Outside the mall. Actually easy to find and park in front of. Drybar offers dry styling (you've washed and dried your own hair) and blow outs with a wash. You can choose from several styles and add-ons (like really cool braids). I've also brought in pics of styles I want and they've made it happen (in Vegas at least). And they have drinks too. So you can kick back, get your hair styled, and enjoy a cocktail. Which is awesome! The decor and ambiance is cute both here and at other locations. All white and yellow. They play movies on their various TVs. Etc. It's enjoyable and relaxing. So I treat myself to a wash, blow out, and braid here. The place was relatively empty. But that's to be expected on a weekday morning. Staff are friendly and nice. But none are wearing a mask! I found they really concerning and odd given the current state of the pandemic and Omicron. But that's also, I guess, norm of Omaha and NE in general. My stylist was fine. But I was underwhelmed. It's wasn't as great-looking or long-lasting as my other Drybar experiences. (In Vegas, my Drybar styles, including the braids, have been gorgeous and lasted all week.) All in all, this location is ok. I'll be back, but hopefully with a different stylist. And probably not until post-pandemic and/or when they up their safety protocols. read more

From the moment we walked in the receptionist was very rude to us and appeared as if she did not want us there. Then our stylists were very unfriendly from the start and ROUGH the whole time. They yanked our hair and were so rushed to just to get us in and out, conversation was very minimal. I scheduled an appointment for a blowout ahead of a special event I was hosting. I made the appointment online and called to verify I can bring in a row of clip in extensions (it works like a barrette, super simple, takes 20 seconds to pop in) for my appointment to be super responsible. The receptionist went on about how I can't bring more extensions than I explained I had, and they wanted me to arrive early, even. I get it, I get it. The day of the event, I got a call saying they are running late for my appointment because someone else ahead of me brought extensions or had extensions and the appointment wasn't properly scheduled. I asked why not make that client wait and let me be on time. The very new and very young receptionist gave me excuses about not knowing what to do. She got the stylist on the phone. I was told that unplanned extension client was already gone and the clients in the chair had to be back to work promptly. They work at a hospital and have to be back. Well. This special event is hosted by me and my boss is the first arrival. I've got somewhere to be also! No adjustments were made for me. The woman in the chair getting her hair done shot me obnoxious looks while scrolling her phone and having her extensions dried. Dry bar specializes in blowouts and does not do haircuts or coloring. The blowout consisted of wash, blow dry, and style. There are many styles to choose from, and I learned a lot about dry bar products and about their services they offer. Overall my style was pretty, but it didn't last long at all. I've been to the San Jose location a handful of times and it was hit or miss. Regardless, I got excited when I found out Omaha was getting one. It's a great addition to Regency Shopping Center. My stylist was great- friendly and made some nice conversation. She gave me some good styling suggestions. While she styled my hair I was entertained by the chick flick movies ("How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days"). I loved the beach-wave style she did. It held up the whole day, well into the evening. Making your appointment online is easy. I booked mine a month ahead. I arrived about 10 minutes before my appointment time, but like the San Jose location, I was seen a little over 15 minutes late. Not sure if it's protocol for them to help the customer 15 minutes post their appointment time to ensure that the customer is present, or if they are just that consistently late? And 15 minutes wasn't a huge deal for me, but if you're in a rush, definitely something to note. read more

DryBar Omaha is amazing! I had the opportunity to push pause and come in for a blowout for a bit of me time and self care. I scheduled about a week in advance and was able to get my preferred time slot. I spent less than an hour in the space and my provider Keeley was amazing! Super personable, great head massage, and something I will definitely be back for. I got the beachy waves blowout which lasted 4 days (honestly I could have went longer if it hadn't have been for the number of workouts i did during that time) and the products literally smell divine. Attitude, attitude, attitude. So my 17 year old daughter walked in and had an appointment. Because of her age I am sure, they had her sit for 45 minutes past her time. Then she was supposed to get her hair washed and the stylist just "hmmphd" (it sounds as it reads). And only washed half of her head leaving her front unwashed. After that the stylist was supposed to keep her hair straighter and that was ignored as well. What a waste of time and money. I am sure this is not the first time the owner has heard this but when you make an appointment, at least be a little empathetic when a kid shows up and needs to stay on a schedule. Terrible for a 17 year old emotional state on the day of homecoming for a place like this to be so inept. Keep this in mind when you make an appointment here. Even though Onaha Drybar is grossly understaffed, the stylists ran on time, were courteous, professional and did beautiful work. I bought a blow dryer from them and it lasted less than three months. Several months ago I took the blow dryer in for a replacement. I was told the "manager" would have to get back to me. After numerous calls, and inquiries when i was in the salon, I cannot get any response from anyone. Hair services are great. Just don't buy any of their hair tools. They have my broken blow dryer and I have been told many times the manager will call me, and also that they have a note about it. So disappointing. I have since cancelled my membership due to the horrible lack of service I've experienced. read more

I'm so disappointed in my service here last weekend. I had a scheduled appointment for a half uptini, for a wedding and was told they were down staffed and could not wash my hair with the style. I stated repeatedly and asked to have my hair washed and the stylist told me they didn't have time. I was still Charged the full amount for the service. I later found out they were not down staffed at all (per the manager who was there?!) Seems pretty unethical to me. She also didn't know how to use the curling iron and was using her hand to wrap my hair around it. The other stylist next to her literally had to step in and ask her if she needed help and then proceed to reach her how to use the curling iron to clamp my hair.
