Unprofessional staff. Been here a few times they are always talking crap about each other and who is doing what in front of clients. They want u there perfectly on time yet ive waited up to 25 min due to them running behind or someone contacting me last minute of a call out. Blow outs run from awful to great depends who is doing it. There are better and less expensive blow dry bars within a 15 min radius that have parking. read more

On Friday September 12th, 2025, I booked a 12:30 at DryBar White Plains. I have been a customer of this location since 2018 (LasVegas/Miami & West Hollywood as well). In all the years that I have visited DryBar at the White Plains location, there was only one time where I felt the service was not spectacular- just okay. That being said, the stylist on that specific day was incredibly sweet and I opted not to leave a negative review. Today my interaction with Monica could only be described as torture!!! When I went for my appointment, I was happy to see that I had a new stylist and was excited to see the finished product. The issue began when I informed her that I freshly washed my hair and that she simply needed to rinse out the conditioner or rinse and reapply if need be. She rinsed for what was less than 30 seconds and I was surprised when she reached for a towel. I then told her that I would like the conditioner rinsed out completely please. She did so and said that she thought that it was a leave-in conditioner. She then rinsed and wrapped a towel around my hair;. I sat in the chair and she placed ZERO products in my hair. I asked her to apply a product I had in my bag. She did and once that was completed she placed her airpods in her ears and began a full assault with the harshest blow dry I have ever experienced. Today my scalp is still tender. I inquired about the new oil that was on the counter and she removed one airpod and then indicated it was NEW- what an obvious declaration!!! From there - with my head sore and wanting the process to end. I sat silently. Waiting for her to release me from her chair. Within 21 minutes on a low humidity day without a cloud in the sky- my hair looked like I had just been in a sprinkler and tangled with a raccoon. A pure mess. I texted the salon first thing this morning and at 3pm after not hearing back I called again. I booked another appointment hoping to meet with a stylist that I was familiar with and was told that they would place me with another stylist - maybe for a dry style and I should then pay and they would figure it out. I opted not to do so as I hoped to hear from the manager before moving forward with the next step I was so saddened by the experience that I glanced down to see a filthy floor, dust, hair and grime below my feet. All of this as my membership increased and they still have the former price list hanging in the salon. I have still not received communication from the salon and called the receptionist and she was trying to be helpful but the manager was in- saw my text in the morning and never reached out to me or replied to my text. I had a 8am appointment but at 7:40 I received a call from Drybar saying the hairdresser isn't available and canceled the appointment. They gave me an appointment at 1pm which didn't work for me as the event I was going to was at noon. I asked to speak to Jessica, the manager, but even after multiple calls and messages, she never called back. Very unreliable salon and awful customer service. Had I have canceled the appointment the day off I'd have been charged but the salon canceling the appointment 30 minutes prior I gather is ok. read more

Imagine a bar, where you can order a glass of wine (red or white), champagne of perhaps you're feeling a mimosa. This bar by no means is a "dry" bar but it is THEE Drybar. This is the kinda bar where you just order your custom blow out, have a glass of wine while you're at it, and walk out looking fabulous ready to take over the world. It was such a treat to come to this location, I immediately loved the concept. Being a curly hair girl myself I don't always go get my hair done since I just leave it natural. This place had me rocking my Mai Tai waves thanks to Anthony. He did a fabulous blow out! Despite the rain, my hair stayed put and I walked out of there with a complimentary Drybar umbrella. I mean, how thoughtful is that? My only "complaint" is I wish there was a better parking situation since it's a little unclear as where to park for validated parking. Besides that, (which has nothing to do with my review btw) this place was awesome. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. You can customize your wash, add on a scalp massage/scrub all sorts of things. Truly a place to get pampered. Highly recommend it if you want to come out with a fabulous blow out. I was so excited to have a blow out done at Drybar today. Upon walking in you are immediately greeted with a smile and offered a welcoming beverage. I couldn't help but appreciate how CUTE the decor was as every little detail was thoughtfully put together to create a bright, open space. My stylist Kaisy was absolutely amazing! She explained the different styles of blow outs I could choose from and I settled on a fun, bouncy cosmopolitan look. Before beginning, I enjoyed an invigorating wash to prep for the blow out. Kaisy was very friendly and explained what each hair product was before using it. The finished product was a voluminous dream, leaving me feeling feminine, confident and ready to take on the weekend. I don't typically get blow outs, however, I'm already planning my next appointment for an event coming up. I've been going to DryBar for years and I call the white plains location my home because they're usually really good. I typically don't complain about my hair, however, today is different. My stylist was a sweetheart nothing against her personally, but when I got to my car i realized my hair quality wasn't reflecting the price I paid. My scalp was still itchy, still dirty, my roots aren't as straight as I would have liked and it feels like my curls are too tight for a flowy Mai-Tai. I wouldn't mind the outcome but after being charged an additional $30 for going 5-10 mins overtime when my entire service was under an hour is appalling. I didn't start my hair until 11:25am and was finished by 12:17pm. The additional charge is what triggered this movement because I just didn't feel good about my hair. I'm not happy at all. Not thrilled about my last blowout. I went on Saturday and got a cosmo tai done. First, I booked a scalp massage I didn't get. Then I wasn't offered anything to drink, which I always remember getting a coffee or a wine or something. I'm a DryBar barfly customer since the business opened and use them all over the country mostly both coasts. I find them hit or miss, 100% dependent on the manager to create a positive work environment for staff which trickles down to customers. Most stylists are well trained and experienced although you do occasionally suffer with a novice. Great products, generally clean and tidy salons. White Plains is my current location bc Stamford closed and Westport is run by a highly unpleasant suppressive person who is clearly not qualified to manage staff or address customers. So far, unlike Stamford and Westport, WP has never canceled my appointment. Stylists are pleasant and competent. Enjoying my blowouts here. read more

All it took was for me to go once and I am sold!!! I love the ambience of the whole place. The decor and lighting makes it relaxing from the moment you walk in. The front desk checked me in and offered me a drink, it comes with your blowout! I held off on the drink until I was getting my hair done. They have coffee, water, tea, orange juice, champagne or mimosa!! I got a mimosa. My stylist was Josie and she was great! I told her exactly the look I was going for and she nailed it! I can not RAVE about DryBar enough. Ariana is my go to girl. She gave me a tutorial once on a hot tool I purchased and ever since then, I am hooked. She is so knowledgeable about the products and styles, that I only wish I can come in everyday to get a blowout. Highly recommend their hair products. I use their Southern Comfort, On The Rocks, Sake Bomb to wash and treat my hair. Their Detox Dry Shampoo is amazeballs and the Sparkling Soda to add a little shine is one of my favorites. Their line of hot tools is great. The Buttercup blow dryer cut my hair drying in half. Their Wrap Party wand gives my hair the perfect curls as does their 3 Day Bender. Liked that they have some of their products in small sizes so you don't have to make a huge $$ commitment to try something. The salon was very chic! The receptionist was very sweet. I've never once written a review, let alone a negative review. I have previously worked in the service industry and in positions where I was dealing with the public from the young age of 15. I get that things happen, circumstances vary and every human has bad days. My experience at drybar was none of those and instead had me thinking I was actually on a hidden camera show. My appointment was at 7pm. At 5:20 I called and asked if there was anything available earlier because I was in the area. I was told to come at 6:30. Arrived at 6:20 knowing I was early and had no problem patiently waiting. I was sent to the washing station at 7:30 & was given a lackluster wash that did not include the charcoal scrub (extra $15) which I had scheduled. My stylist (name unknown) was overwhelmingly unprofessional throughout my entire 2 hours there. Examples included speaking badly about clients within 30 seconds of them walking out of the door (how nasty and difficult they are), discussing how inexperienced she was and providing me with a "blow out" that some how looked worse than if I was to let my hair air dry after swimming in the Hudson River. Zero products were used & the hair was simply dried. I left a 2 hour long appointment with no part, hair that looked like I was electrocuted and out $67 ($55 for blow out & 22% tip because I actually felt bad at that point for the stylist that management would throw her into a position where she knows NOTHING). I responded to the survey I was emailed in great detail and have yet to hear back. Do better drybar, there are 100's of locations offering the same service for below your price & at the very least, satisfactory customers. Will never return/recommend. Save your money! read more

I was so excited to try drybar. I had heard it was a great service and a very welcoming space. Wrong. My stylist barely spoke to me. I wasn't even offered a beverage - drybar typically offers coffee, water, or a mimosa. But hey, covid times, I'll let this part go. I chose a style from the "menu". What I got was not even remotely close to the photos in the book. I had said I part my hair in the middle when asked, yet I left with a side part. The style was to be lose beach waves. I had big , frizzy, 1950s curls at the base of my hair. There is no mirror in front of you so this disaster was revealed at the end when the stylist had finished. I definitely panicked and left but ultimately went back and voiced my concern. The stylist agreed to fix my hair but I still left unsatisfied with hair that looked NOTHING like any of the photos shown in the menu let alone the style I picked. I'm not sure what the stylist was going for to be honest. I thought it was pretty straightforward. ‍ I would possibly go back and try a different stylist but if you are having your hair done for an event, definitely try before the big day and only book with a stylist you know can accomplish the look you want. DO NOT GO FOR THE FIRST TIME THE SAME DAY AS YOUR EVENT. I had assumed that all the stylist can recreate any look in the menu because that's all drybar offers but after this debacle, I can assure you all stylist are not created equal. All that being said, there was some nice hair walking out, I think I just got unlucky. read more

I had booked my appointment for New Year's Eve back in November (before Thanksgiving) and received a call today (12/30) advising that one their stylists called out sick tomorrow so they needed to cancel my appointment. Since they were unable to provide me with an alternate time, the receptionist recommended I try another salon down the street. I was late for my appointment- more than 20 minutes. After arriving they told me my stylist had to move on to the next client- which I completely understood. Wonderful, relaxing experience. I had a 9am appointment on a Sunday morning. It was the first appointment slot, so it wasn't too busy. I arrived on time and was seen right away. It was my first Drybar experience, so I wasn't sure which style I wanted. My stylist sat me down and went over the styles first, explaining the differences and options within each. Once I had decided on the Cosmo, she led me back to wash my hair. Sitting in a comfy chair with my feet up while getting a scalp massage, I could feel myself starting to relax. I could get used to this! We then went back to the bar and she proceeded to style my hair while I sipped a cup of coffee and watched Friends. My hair looks great, and I didn't have to spend an hour standing with a blow dryer (win/win). I could easily see myself getting addicted to a Drybar habit. (My wallet might not appreciate it, though!). Overall, the service at Drybar is great. It was a rainy day, so the receptionist offered me a free umbrella on my way out in case I didn't have one of my own. Oh, and they validate parking, too. read more

I was very excited to try this salon, but the stylist here are awful. I came here few different times-I had my hair done by a few different stylist. I can honestly say that I was never thrilled with the way that my hair came out. I felt as if I was being rushed through my appointment (the whole wash and dry process often took less than than 30 min). I would always schedule my appointment for a Sunday afternoon or at a time when the salon was not busy. The stylist always rushed through my hair- my hair more often than not was damp when I left the salon. The stylist did not rush me because she was busy or because she had another customer waiting, she rushed me so that she could sit in the chair and go onto her phone. Never again! Please do not waste your money. This place is not cheap. It is hard to find parking. There are plenty of salons in the area where you can get your hair done and the stylist actually take the time to work on your hair and care about their work. read more

This was exactly the experience I wanted for the event I wanted. I have naturally curly/wavy hair and Aiyana was able to give me a blowout that was clean, natural, and groomed. Not only did I enjoy the experience of having somebody make their way through my hair carefully, but I also liked the service and small touches like coffee, a USB charger, and stuff for my convenience. I felt pampered and listened to, and I was more than happy to part with my money. My one suggestion for Drybar to give more photos of real people and realistic variations on hair and haircuts in real contexts, not just limited, highly stylized models against white backdrops. I think it's hard for me to put into words the kind of look I want, and I imagine it's more complicated based on the kind of hair I have, my cut, and the event I want it for (e.g. a wedding anniversary or a job interview will probably call for different styles.) I'd love to see photos of models with all types of hair and types of cuts in different settings to help me pick which blowout I want, or I'd also do some "pairing note" recommendations on what styles work best for what situations. read more

My go to for my all my blow dry needs! I was lucky to have gotten Bielkas my first time visiting this location which was for NYE and I've been coming to her ever since. I have curly hair that when I attempt to straighten on my own, takes about 2 hours. Bielkas is always gentle and patient with detangling my hair, always offers the best products and leaves my hair looking flawless each time in less than half of that time. I've visited two other dry bar locations in the past in San Francisco and in NYC and although I was happy with my service, I wasn't completely satisfied with my blow out. I'm happy to have found a location where I'm more than satisfied with both. I'm always greeted by very friendly and attentive staff who never fail to ask for my parking pass for validation on my way out. Love coming here and I highly recommend! read more
