The Dry Clean Depot at 24225 Orchard Lake, Farmington Hills is very unprofessional and not customer friendly. I took a NEW suit there to be PRESSED only, yet I was charged the same price as if it had been dry cleaned. When I returned home and went to hang up my suit, I noticed it was only half pressed. I called and spoke with the Closing Manager on 10/4/25, who told me that pressed items simply go through a machine and are then hung up--and that the only way to remove all the wrinkles is by having the item dry cleaned. I explained that if the wrinkles weren't going to come out, they should have dry cleaned the suit since I paid the same price. I asked if staff even check their work or care about quality, but the manager only said I could bring the suit back with the tag still attached, and they would "see what they could do." Unfortunately, I needed the suit the next day (10/5/25), and he told me I couldn't get it back until Monday (10/6/25). I ended up pressing the suit myself--even after paying for the service. I didn't ask for a refund; I simply wanted the job done right. This cleaners took my money and showed no concern for making it right. When they had the cleaners on Woodward, they did very well but now they have gone straight to the pits. You bring the clothes in you take them the same way that you brought them in. They haven't been cleaned or anything. I think they press them without cleaning them cause the same dirt they went in with they come out with my last time going there never again they may be cheap, but if cheapest what you want, that's what you get. read more

I just had a HORRIFIC Experience with an Employee at Your 24225 Orchard Lake Farmington Hills Michigan 48336 Location. When I walked in There was an African American man at the front counter, as I walked in he looked directly at me, but failed to speak or greet me. I myself said. "Hello, How Are You Today?" To which he simply respond, then after an ackward silence assuming maybe he didn't hear me, I repeated myself "Hello, How Are You Today?" And He mumbled and inaudible response. Then he asked me my phone number I said My phone number Clearly... he kept typing longer than normal and finally said "THATS NUMBER DON'T WORK", I repeated the Same exact number slowly .... I had 4 White items 2 tops & 2 bottoms I pointed to the collar of one of the tops and said hey can you please make note for them to treat This Stain Please, to which he responded with a GLARING STARE and me and handing me some Yellow Tape telling me to do it Myself!! I suppose you don't really think of leaving a good review to a dry cleaning place. AND MY GOODNESS this place needs some positivity from their customers. This place is always busy. So clearly their current rating on yelp is false. Their location is in a great spot by orchard lake and 10 mile so it makes dropping off your clothes and pick up so convenient. I think my average wait time to be helped has been 2 minutes. The staff is friendly and my clothes always come out great. When I say clothes, I mean: Dresses for weddings Suits for my husband Winter Jackets for my family King Comforters You honestly have no other business that can compare to $2.99. If you get it in by 9am, you can have it back by 5pm. That's crazy. And all these reviews below me are cracking how a $200 pair of shorts was ruined. #1, maybe don't go to a place that says dry cleaning is $2.99. If it was very specific, it wouldn't hurt to talk to them about it before you had it serviced. And #3, don't freaking create a yelp account just to smash on a business. I have no respect for folks that do that. Anyway. Sorry. I like this business. The pandemic has shut a lot of places down. I wish this location was just a little closer to my office. It's a bit out of the way for my day-to-day but there isn't a better and less expensive option anywhere. The lady that does alterations is great. The young lady that rings up your service went from being polite to rude when I asked her a simple question. She asked me if I was aware of the cost to hem my pants. I said yes it's the price I PAID that is reflected on the receipt. I asked her why would she ask me that when she has the receipt as well. Today David lost the sleeveless shell that was part of a 3 piece pantsuit I brought in to be cleaned. He stuck a different shell, made of a different fabric and style than the one that went with my original pantsuit. When I told him about the mistake he swore up and down the "wrong" shell was the one I brought to the cleaners. I know each piece of my pantsuit. So ladies if you get a black nylon shell that doesn't belong to you, it's probably mine. He took yours to the back when I left the cleaners with no shell. I refused to take what didn't belong to me. Had a polo shirt and a pair of jeans cleaned, they had a couple of food stains on them. When I got them back, the stains looked like they hadn't been touched. Took a cloth and hot water and wiped the stains off in 10 seconds. So, 10 seconds with a cloth and hot water does a better cleaning job than this place. read more

I took a pair of $200 Robert Rodriguez gold shorts to Dry Clean Depot to be cleaned. Typically, I don't take my nicer things here but since I was taking mostly work clothes, I figured they should be able to handle the shorts as my regular cleaners does. When I picked my things up and took them home; I had thought they had given me another customers grey shorts but soon discovered, they had somehow burned off all the gold tone and the shorts were now gray. I was the first person back the next morning and spoke to Ivan, the manger on duty (I had called the day before but no one ever picked up the line). Ivan attempted to read the care tag which was also burned off and said he had to talk to the owner to see "what they could do" assuring me he would call me later in the day... which he didn't. He also did not call the next day either so back i went; speaking to the afternoon manager who said he would have Ivan call me. Again, I showed up the next morning (this is not my 3rd trip to the cleaners) and spoke to Ivan again and asked why he had not contacted me as promised. He only said; "sorry". The owner happened to be there but never had the service skills to come and apologize to me. The only offered me 10 x the cost of the cleaning $30 which they said they had to mail.. we will see if it shows. I am so disappointed and my shorts are ruined! Never go here; after I told a friend about my experience, she told me they had lost one of her husbands custom made shirts.. at least they paid him the full amount back! read more

This business has by far then worst customer service I have ever experienced. The spots on one dress looked worse than they did when i brought it in and it looked ad though it had not been pressed. They put a crease in a pair of pants that I didn't want creased. I told them that when I checked them in and then verified it as I left. The clerk assured me no crease. these were winter items so I didn't need them right away and didn't remove them from the bag until a month later. The pants had a big tag on them marked CREASE!. The clerk was extremely rude right from the beginning even though I asked nicely, and wouldn't press the crease out even though it was their fault that they had mistagged it, nor would they run the dress through again because I didn't come back within 3 days. I would have to pay again in full even though the pants just had to be repressed and not recleaned. I do have to depend on my husband to drive me and didn't know about the unrealistic 3 day rule. I didn't even mention the third item, a dress with all-over embroidery which came back all puckered as though the "dry cleaning" was actually wet, and the dress was not pressed out. This has happened before here with embroidered items and I expected to have to press it myself. read more

Dropped off some cleaning about a week ago at this location. Paid with a debit card. The representative was having problems with the payment terminal so switched to an alternative terminal. How surprised was I when I reviewed my bank statement in a couple of days only to find that I was debited the original charge and 4 additional charges for the exact same amount !!!!! I went by the Depot and explained the situation to the representative who told me the "owner" would be in later and would call me. Of course "the owner" never had the courtesy to call. I took in my suit to be dry cleaned here and I got it back worse than it was. Although the cashier was nice and informative, they did not do a good job at all in cleaning my suit nor ironing it correctly even though I made it clear I wanted the suit cleaned AND dry cleaned. I felt like they just threw my suit in the dryer and put it back on the hanger. They also messed up one of my sleeves on my blazer that I was not happy about. Went back there today to drop off another comforter and a dry clean item. I was greeted by Dante and he was tagging up an article of clothing and said go there and I will assist you. I stated no problem and that I want Adam to assist me. He smiles and says Adam is a popular guy today. We talked and Adam advised that I am the famous Chuck Charles and Dante comes over to talk to me. We talked and laughed about the whole prior situation. I told them both that they are not involved in what miscommunication I had on my prior visit. I told Dante that what he had instructed the female cashier to do on my prior visit was correct and that she felt unsure after he had college to attend and left for the day. I told Dante and Adam the female cashier was so confused asked me to come back later or wanted to wait for Ivan Perez (store manager) who was on lunch wanting to enjoy his sandwich came to the front after completing his sandwich. In the end I hope I don't have to be greeted, assisted or spoken to by Ivan in my future visits to this location. I will continue to take my business to Dryclean depot. Since I have been going there they quality of dry cleaning has been great, the customer service second to none, and most importantly they are open early and close late. By far the worst dry cleaners I've been to. If I could give 0 stars I would. I have taken several clothes to this place and without fail, my clothes needed to either be cleaned again or there is damage. I brought four sweaters in stating that I wanted the lint to be removed and the sweaters dry cleaned. When I went to pick my sweaters up, the sweaters looked exactly as I brought them in. There was seriously no change. Even though I asked for the sweaters to be cleaned again and lint removed, the sweaters were still the same. They are cheap, so I guess you get what you pay for.
