Thank you so much to Dry Cleaning by Dave they are the best dry cleaning company around. My sister and I were in the Mount Royal Hotel fire in Banff and had no clean clothes because 4 fire trucks poured water on our stuff for 6 hours (we were on the top floor where the fire was). Jeff and the team worked so hard to save all our clothes and make sure we had winter clothes because it was -20 degrees outside and we were trapped inside our emergency accommodation (I didn't even have a shirt). I couldn't recommend this company enough for their care, compassion and quality. I'm amazed that all my clothes no longer smell of fire and look new considering all the water, charcoal, ash and goodness knows what else was soaked into everything. I have been sending mens shirts and pants to this dry cleaner for over 2 years. I feel like I should be counting my items each week because on 2 occasions I have received someone else's clothing. Makes me wonder who may have mine?! I have had to call numerous times about shirts not getting deoderant stains out when there is a note on our account to watch how they are being pressed and for stains. I'm happy that there is now more competition in town and we an try someone else. read more

I took in a sweater that had a stain on it. I showed the stain to the clerk, who told me they would try and remove it....if they were unsuccessful, before they would clean with the drycleaning solvent, they would call and let me decide if I wanted to pay to dry clean the sweater. They never called, they charged me $12 for a sweater to be cleaned which has a massive stain on it and I was told, well too bad, that's just how it goes. I've been a customer there for 6 years - never again and they charged my credit card before they would show me my sweater. Total rip off. There was no manager and I was told I could complain in the morning. I am very disappointed in the attitude, service and fees. read more

I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. The integrity of a company speaks volumes when something wrong happens. Something happened with my UGG boots and they didn't own up to their mistakes nor fix the issue. They had TERRIBLE customer service. Every time I called I felt as though I was being an inconvenience. Their delivery service was continually late and they don't communicate properly with customers. When sending my boots back with delivery service two times they didn't communicate anything to cleaners, in fact, the third time I went to go pick my boots up in person the worker told me that they hadn't even been redone... they continue to give me the boots back without fixing them. Also, during the last phone call I had with Jeff (owner), I was VERY upset because it was the 3rd time my boots had gone back. Over the course of the phone call, things got heated and the owner tried to manipulate my feelings by projecting issues he was dealing with in his personal life and yelled at me over the phone for being upset that my boots were ruined. I finally got my boots back after 5 months and my boots are still wrinkled and permanently wrecked. read more

Used their Canmore office, and was very disappointed - angry with the terrible job at an outrageous price. I was packing for a trip and made a tiny grease mark on the pants I wanted to take so took them to the drycleaner rather than washing so they would look extra nice. 5 days later, paid $16 for just that 1 pair of pants only to discover the grease spot was still there. This was not the first time, I had used the Canmore outlet. The previous time they destroyed my husbands shirt (said their machine broke down) and offered him no compensation for a $75 shirt . I brought my wedding dress in for dry cleaning, and had a good experience. Actually, my dad brought it in and they treated him very well. He said the dress came back clean and looked good. I did read another review about the environmental fee, that was also a surprise fee to me as well. Make sure you get a specific quote before leaving your dress. I paid for the environmental fee because I didn't know better but now I understand I should have argued that. Overall, very nice and professional and did a good job so that's why I give my 4-star rating. read more

Unbelievably expensive. Yes, they did a great job but the premium we pay for living in the aspen/Wentworth community is getting out of control. My order cost me at least double what it would have at elsewhere. They are clearly positioning themselves as couture cleaners at a premium price. $23 to clean a simple work dress? Really disappointed. Had my wedding dressed pressed, they told me when they picked it up that the final total would be $155 (which seemed ridiculous to get a few slight wrinkles out already) and put that on the receipt. The day comes for them to drop it off, it's suddenly $179.. wrongly charged us an environmental fee that we had to call to get taken off. Seemed very dishonest. Also asked them to fix a bead on my dress, which I was told that they definitely could do... Dropped it off and the bead was NOT fixed (pretty sure they charged me for it also). And they didn't even bother to tell me they didn't fix it. Very disappointed and will never use this dry cleaning service again, and definitely will not recommend. read more

I called Drycleaning By Dave for a quote on having my wedding gown cleaned. So far this was the easiest thing ever. They came to my home within 2 days, free of charge, to examine my gown, discuss my options (cleaning and/or preservation), provide an estimate and take the gown with them. Jeff was friendly, knowledgeable and straight forward with me. He didn't try to sell me a service I didn't need and set a date that meets my timeline. While the cost of the cleaning is not insignificant, neither is my wedding gown. I'll post another review when the dress comes back to advise if I'm also happy with the results. Absolutely terrible. I dropped my wedding dress of in early August to get cleaned. They told me it would take a few weeks. After texts with the woman in charge of wedding dresses, where she kept assuring me my dress was almost done and that I'd be "so happy" with the results, I finally was able to pick it up over a month later. Got it home, unwrapped it and the bottom of my dress was just as filthy as when it went in. Took it back, the girl at the store assured me there must have been some kind of mistake and that the dress obviously wasn't cleaned. It took several more weeks of asking for updates from the wedding-dress-lady that I was finally able to pick it up again in EARLY DECEMBER. In texts, she always had an excuse for why it was taking so long, including deaths in the family. I sympathized with that, but told her that she needs to communicate with customers, or put someone in charge who can answer questions in her absence! I asked for a partial or full refund as this process was getting ridiculous. She flatly refused. I have paid nearly $400 for this cleaning!! When I picked my dress up in early December, part of the boning in the corset had ripped through the silk corset and was clearly poking out of the bust of my dress. Once again, texted the wedding-dress-lady, and she said to bring it in for repair. Two weeks later, I've called the store and the guy I spoke to has no idea where my dress is, or when it will be ready. They are incredibly unprofessional, make excuses, do not communicate, and will not even offer a refund. The silk corset on my dress has a completely different texture than before it went in, and there are numerous tears in the tulle skirt. They seem completely uncommitted to actually doing a good job and I am so, so disappointed at the result. Do not bring your wedding dress to them!!! read more

I have been going to this dry cleaner for a little while now, seem to take pretty good care of the clothes. My last order a skirt was not included with the order so I phone them. I spoke with two ladies two different times who said they would phone me back after they checked one insinuated I lost the skirt. Never called back. I phoned the manager 4 times of which 3 times I reached him and on those occasions he was going to check the plant for my skirt and phone me back. Never returned my message or phoned me back on those other three occasions. I visited the store two times no one was authorized to help me on the third time the manager was there. He insinuated on a few occasions I was lying and there was no way they would give a non-complete order. I lost it, it disappeared, I dropped it. After several minutes of embarrassing talk he offered a credit????Right and I want to continue to do business here. We agreed I would buy the skirt and then I would have to drive back and submit the receipt for a refund within 7-10 business days! About an hour later after I had purchased another skirt I get a message he FOUND the skirt it fell of the rack near the conveyer belt. He was sending it back to the plant to be re-drycleaned no credit for all the inconvenience nothing...I will never do business again with this company. read more
