DVW told me that they would provide vent cleaning without their standard inspection. They said their normal vent cleaning fee was between $169 and $285 unless something else was discovered. I agreed to proceed. The DVW representative showed me and estimate of $254 for vent cleaning, $59 dollar inspection fee, and $49 to clean my already clean lint trap. I objected to the inspection fee and showed the technician my communication from DVW and he agreed to only discount the inspection fee by $36. I paid the DVW $326 which I believe was price gouging. If money is no object to you...DVW may be your best choice. As far as I can tell their cleaning service was good. Personally, I was not happy with their business practices.
