TL;DR: Aggressive and rude worker. Doesn't respect your time at all. Owner first tried to shame me into not posting a review, then tried to bribe me (see pics.) Since I posted a review on Google, he sent several fresh insulting and text messages to my partner. Since I understood that the ducts in my house might be old and need to be replaced, rather than go with the previous company I used, I found Dynasty Ducts. I called this company and asked them to come and clean my ducts. They tried to end the call without mentioning the cost, but after asking told me that the cleaning would be $200-300 and that was the only charge ever mentioned. First the person coming to clean my ducts called me 45 minutes before a 2 hour window, at 8:15 AM. When the duct cleaner pulled up, he didn't introduce himself and mumbled as he followed me into the house staring at me, as though I should know where to begin. After I asked him if he wanted to start inside or out, he began. After several minutes, he informed me that my ducts were of a type that can't be cleaned and they would need to replace them. When I went to ask questions, he just shoved a paper in my face, loudly speaking about code in an incoherent fashion. He followed this up by telling me that he needs to cut a hole in the lower ceiling and/or upper floor to replace the duct. When I tried to explain to him that that was unnecessary as the duct is not between floors, he began speaking louder over me to tell me I was wrong and the only place the duct could be was between the floors. After he got tired of talking over me and not answering any questions, he called his manager who never actually spoke to me despite being told twice that he was on speakerphone. Insultingly, he spoke only to his employee who then relayed it to me. While on speakerphone. The best part of the in-person interactions is that after they informed me that they aren't going to clean the ducts and would have to replace them by unnecessarily ripping my house apart, he then informed me that there was a $50 fee for coming out. This was never expressed prior to this, the only pricing ever mentioned by the company/owner were for the cleaning itself. Had this owner asked a few simple follow-up questions then they would not have come out here, e.g. asked what kind of ducting is already installed to see if it can be cleaned. My partner tried to call and complain about the service. Rather than being apologetic and calm, the owner continuously talked over her every time she attempted to talk. She informed him that the call was over and hung up. He immediately tried to call back, but was ignored. The real fun begins after this, when he began texting directly. I've included screenshots below of both sides of the conversation. As you can see he starts out with calling previous companies a "scam" and closing with a vague "that is on your karma." My partner returned a message already talking about how we know codes change, things might need to be replaced and we were open to that, but wanted better service than over-talk and being ignored. He then threw me under the bus, saying I don't understand codes, despite me asking questions and trying to explain to them both (the worker whose name is still unknown and the owner) that ripping the house up was unnecessary. He then devolved into condescension and talking down as though we hadn't already both tried to talk to him about these actual codes. My partner sent another message explaining, again, that the problem is not the codes and that it needs to be replaced, but that the "customer service" we received was very poor and that was our issue. He was then told the conversation was over. Despite this, he decided to send another text. In this one, he offered to refund the arbitrary $50 fee IF AND ONLY IF I didn't post a review. I did not accept his offer, as I feel more people should see this and understand exactly how he came to have such high reviews despite such awful service. read more

So Jamie and his colleague hooked me up with clean HVAC. I had reached out to multiple services and he responded quickly. He asked to speak directly which I think was helpful to clarify what I needed and review my questions rather then giving a canned response. I have asthma and allergies and was moving in to a new home where I could already tell the HVAC had likely not been cleaned in some time. I went with Duck Dynasty as he didn't try to sell me a "sanitation" service I didn't need. Apparently it's a thing that some companies offer but can actually cause problems for the system down the line if it's not actually indicated. When he did come he gave me some warning the day of for his ETA which was helpful. He actually also called the day before to confirm the service which kind of surprised me since it was a sunday. They kept me updated of their findings while going through the system and showed me pictures and videos which was helpful. They were able to tell me what size filter I would need and the correct location to replace it and why. Since the filter was an odd size Jaime helped me locate the correct size filter online. He offered to come back to install it but I was able to manage with his previous instructions. I feel I can breathe easier now my hvac is clean and he did not judge me when I saged the crap out of my place when he and his colleague were cleaning out the vents. Again pretty knowledgeable so he actually knew some information about the cultural significance of sage which I appreciate as a nerd. Would totally recommend their services. read more

Asked for a quote for dryer vent cleaning through Yelp on Friday afternoon. Jamie responded within a few minutes, and after he asked a few relevant questions about the length of the vent duct work and location of outside vent, he gave me a flat rate price and we had an appointment scheduled for Sunday morning (!). (Only one other business responded and asked canned questions about the size of my home and the number of systems I have (?). Their quote was 50% more than Jamie's.) Jamie called 45 minutes before the one hour appointment window to confirm his arrival time. He came on time and got to work right away. He checked air pressure within my duct work and after also examining my dryer determined (and showed me) that the dryer was not producing the expected airflow. Because of the reduced airflow, lint wasn't making it all the way to the outside vent. He cleaned the vent duct work with vacuum and drill brush and removed about three handfuls of lint. He was very diligent about cleaning everything up and even replaced my vent hose for $8. The TLDR version of this review is that Jamie is a very conscientious business owner and worker who communicates well, keeps his promises, is knowledgeable and professional in his work, and does a complete, quality job. Sent them a picture of the job we needed, and when they got here they could not do it (but they had no problem selling me the part so I could do it myself). What they did do was so done so poorly that we had to replace their work 10 months later. Avoid this company at all costs. I am adding to my review due to their claim that it is "fake", and the threat of legal action. They claim to have not done any work for me, yet I have photos, text messages, and an invoice. I will no longer engage with them (here or elsewhere) as it is a waste of time, and personally beneath me. They have some good reviews (which led me to them in the first place) so maybe my experience was out of the ordinary. Good staff, got it done. Wish it was more affordable, but that seems to be the going rate. $399 per unit for a 2 story house with 2 units, $798 total to do the intakes to units. Not cheap but no unexpected fees. No scary upsell, just honest info. Would love to do the units to vents (other half) but that would run about $630? i think per unit or $1260 more - $2k is a lot. Air quality is important but just out of reach. Again, I think that's just the going rate in the industry, just saving y'all some calling around. I wonder if this industry could make more on higher volume lower prices to make it a regular thing for most middle class households since I've never even heard of the service / most people probably find it too expensive. Just a comment on the industry - this company charged in line and was solid. Before and after pictures from tech on my vents shows me - it was crazy dusty. Will yell at you and threaten to place a lien on your property for not paying INSTANTLY. I told him wait 5 minutes while i'm on a work call, but continued to slam me with phone calls and texts to pay the invoice. I told him give me 5 minutes so I can make 1 phone call to the owner. I got a quote from Dynasty using Yelp's automatic quote request. I went with Daniel Wells of EZ cleaning who did a great job and matched a Groupon I found for one hundred lower than the Dynasty quote. When I replied to a follow up by Dynasty I no longer needed service I got a very snarky reply. I am appending this review after reading the owner's reply in this public forum saying the review is fake. My clean vents in Tucker GA are not fake. But with that said, his reply is consistent with the crap I got in private messaging. The replies from this owner got worse and worse, so much so I will file a complaint with Yelp. You decide for yourself. It started with, "I doubt they did they proper duct cleaning. GLAD IT WORKED OUT FOR YOU." It went downhill from there. This is the first time I've ever had to look up Yelp's policy on filing a complaint. What one would have to deal with as an dissatisfied customer isn't worth it. From beginning to end, Dynasty Ducts was so great! Scheduling was very easy and they called me back right away and I was able to schedule within less than a week. They were very thorough and walked me through everything including the duct on camera, which was really helpful. I booked a maintenance cleaning of my dryer duct, and in the middle of the clean they found something wrong. A duct was disconnected and they had to do some drywall cutting and get in the walls to reconnect it and clean out the lint (a fire hazard) that collected in the walls. It's why my clothes were taking forever to dry so I'll appreciate this in the long run! Highly recommend talking to Dynasty Ducts before choosing your duct cleaning service. Jamie was the only company I contacted that offered to inspect the ducts before quoting a price. The inspection was free, and to my surprise Jamie said that our ducts did not need to be cleaned yet. He could have easily shown me the dust in our ducts and said they need to be cleaned and cashed a check, but he said we have time yet and told me how to know when to have them cleaned. Then he told me how to help clean the air out in the whole house, and actually had me get a spray bottle which he filled with the solution he recommended.
