As I watched them work, I could tell they'd worked as a team for some time. They made sure my belongings were protected and cleaned up when they were done. Gabriel took before and after pics and sent them to me soon after they left. They did a great job. I give them 5 stars. The reason for the 4 star rating is due to one thing. When a representative from Air Duct came to my home, all went well until I pointed out one vent that was higher than all the others, about 20 ft. I was told they did not have a ladder long enough to reach that vent and that if I wanted his techs to clean it I'd have to rent the ladder for them to use. Obviously, that left a sour taste in my mouth. I would think that would be an integral piece of equipment needed for those situations, even if it were something they encountered rarely. Now I have a room full of vents that look practically brand new and one that looks very dirty. See pics. The other pics are of the ducts and coils where the techs did an excellent job. I hope this motivates Air Duct Pro to invest a couple hundred dollars in a ladder for those occasions their customers really need it.

I wanted to take a moment to share some honest feedback about a recent service visit to my home. My…read moreintention isn't to complain, but to express how the experience felt from a homeowner's point of view -- especially in a stressful situation with a non-working AC and a newborn in the house. When I booked the appointment, I was told there would be an $89 diagnostic fee, which I completely understood. But once the technician arrived and saw that the line was frozen, I was told I'd need to pay an additional $229 to thaw the system before any diagnosis could be made. This caught me off guard, as I didn't expect such a significant extra charge for something that seemed like a necessary part of troubleshooting. After the line was thawed, I hoped for a clearer answer, but the technician told me: * He couldn't say how much refrigerant I needed * He had only 1 lb of R-22 * He would need to leave and return, which would cost another $175 for travel time, plus $280 per pound of R-22 * Alternatively, he offered to fill the system with an alternative refrigerant, and kindly noted that if we replaced the unit later, we wouldn't be charged for it * Lastly, I was given a $10,000 replacement quote and was asked to leave a deposit if I wanted to move forward I respect that the technician came out and did his part, but I walked away feeling like I had paid over $300 and was still left without a real solution -- only an expensive replacement quote or the promise of more charges if I wanted to continue. I'm not trying to question anyone's integrity. But as a customer, I left the visit feeling overwhelmed and unsure if this was truly the best approach for someone in my situation. I understand that older units and R-22 systems are tough, but I think more transparency upfront -- especially about extra charges -- would've made a big difference. Within15 minutes Jason had sleuthed out the problem: the condensation pipe from the upstairs unit was clogged. He fixed and was gone in 35 minutes and the unit is back up and running.

Last week we had our annual A/C inspection done --- the first one as the unit is new. William Bunch was the technician who arrived to do the inspection. The office had called to say he was on his way. William arrived about 15 minutes later. He did a great job. He checked everything out as it is a new system. Airight Air Duct Cleaning has been around in Coastal Virginia for over 20 years. Although their…read morelocation is at the north end near Shore Dr., they do service all of the Coastal Virginia area. Several years ago, I had used them to have the ducts cleaned in the house. This most recent job was for having the dryer vents cleaned. This job was done on June 1, 2022. Having used them before, I knew that they would be good to get back in touch with. I did think about having all the ducts cleaned, but the costs have skyrocketed to near $1000 due to inflation, supply chain issues, etc. Therefore, I have held off for now on having that done again. I had called a few days before the actual appointment to have one set up. They answered very quickly when I called. They were able to get me a morning appointment for June 1, 2022 at 8 am. Fast forward to the scheduled day. They were here just before 8 am, which worked out well. There were two technicians that came to do the work. They would take care of moving the dryer, doing the cleaning, etc. When they came in, they went over what would be done and such. All of it made sense and I just let them do their thing. In about an hour, maybe less, they were done. Everything was put back where it belonged and left it in the same condition as before they started, except that the dryer vent was now clean. Apparently, this type of service is recommended to be done yearly, but it had definitely been longer than that. Looking back, I can understand that since it could be a fire risk otherwise. I definitely don't need that kind of burning desire in the future. The good thing is that we were able to have everything recovered that had been sitting in the dryer graveyard (behind it). Overall, the technicians were professional and efficient. They did very well with the explanation of everything about the process and asked if there were any questions. The service was excellent as always, and I would put it in the sense of the white glove treatment. If you look at their Facebook page, they do look inactive there, but they are still in business. If you are looking to have your dryer vents or air ducts cleaned, I highly recommend them, and also be sure to ask about any specials or discounts.

Long story short, Dana went above and beyond just cleaning the air vent to ensure that our dryer was installed correctly and would be able to be properly maintained in the future. They did far more than what I had initially anticipated they would do! They came out almost immediately after calling and got our dryer back up and running shortly after arriving. Phenomenal experience and highly recommend to anyone looking for air duct cleaning of any kind!
