Finally, the generator itself started failing during last winter's snow and ice storm. There was both a board failure and an engine oil leak. During that failure, Eric was able to give me assistance over the phone that allowed me to check the unit and keep it going without a service call. We were not home, first time the generator was to run under actual load conditions. We arrived home with CO alarms blazing caution. We had a problem, deadly odorless gas was in our home. The garbage disposal in my sink stopped working, and I asked Sunwave to come out to look at it. They came out the same day. They also discovered that the disposal wasn't broken. It just needed an Allen wrench to turn the blades a little bit to loosen it up. The service took 5 minutes. SUNWAVE DID NOT CHARGE FOR THE SERVICE. I come from a big city where there is a minimum service fee just to come out to your house (usually running into several hundred dollars). So this gratuitous service really was quite a pleasant surprise. And to be clear, I would have been very happy to pay Sunwave Plumbing. It was a very difficult weekend without a working kitchen sink.
