This DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse is located in a huge complex in Allen Park. The Independence Market Plaza is a very busy shopping area right off Southfield Freeway and Outer Drive. This DSW is a nice size store. I ain't one to gossip, so you didn't hear this from me....You can donate a pair of shoes once a week in exchange for reward points. Those reward points can accumulate to up to $20 off a future purchase. Clean out those closets to make room for new shoes! I was happy to find some great finds in the green dot markdown section. I went during my lunch break, what an optimum time to go, no crowds, but they were removing stock off the shelves as I was browsing. They carry a lot of Kelly & Katie flats and heels and I am big into them since they feel and fit so comfortably. Bought some AK's that were super comfy. Been adhering to the rule of only purchasing shoes that fit at first try and walk. I found 3 pairs and for $143, not bad since I go through flats every year. Didn't have the silver metallic flats with no embellishment but the AK would take me far in the office for now. Loving the calf hair black/brown and cream flats, goes with tons of things, much better than the Dr. Scholl's leopard print I bought a while back. I think I buy about 3/4 of my shoe collection from DSW, the rest from boutique shops as I prefer unique wears when possible. Would have been better if I had more than a $5 coupon, oh well, there aren't usually many good coupons that I can use when I find a pair of shoes it would seem. read more

I bought a pair of moccasins online, only for them to be too snug. I took my online purchase into the store for a refund. They took them back without an issue. I didn't exchange them for a bigger size because they didn't carry them in the store. So, I figured I would grab some winter boots. My size (10) can be hard to find but Oooooh Today!!! They had exactly what I was looking for. I never mind DSW. Sometimes they can be hit or miss but you'll always get a good quality shoe. read more

I've been to a lot of DSW locations, so far the shoe experts here are super friendly and helpful. I was able to use 3 coupons in one transaction which makes shopping lighter on my credit card statement at the end of the month haha!!! There are limited selection of shoes in the clearance section, so are the accessories but I was able to buy a backpack for school for 50% off, marked with a purple sticker. Yellow stickers are marked 60% 0ff. Looking around for regular priced shoes, and checked prices online directly from the manufacturer...the price is the same. The deal is...when you shop at DSW, you get points and freebies (for a limited time). I'll definitely be back and visit this DSW location. read more

Locating men's dress shoes for Prom isn't always easy. Thankfully DSW has several options. This 5 stars is especially for Hank who helped us a few times today. He was kind, polite, and friendly. He went above and beyond for us on the floor and at the register. He even talked hockey with us for a few during check out. He's the kind of employee everyone wants for their store. OMG, their rewards program is amazing! Loyalty really pays off at DSW. I always find their customer service to be fantastic too. The stock in this store is a bit low right now due to Covid but I always find something amazing either in store or online. The sales women are doing their best with the restrictions these days and the manager is very nice. read more

What a complete waste of my time, drove here after looking online, got here and what a sad state of selection. You thought they were going out of business for God sake...Ended up going across the street to Dunham's Sports and found they still had women's hiking boots available. I will never bother coming back to DSW since they seem to stock more socks than shoes...why is the store so large to have such a small selection of shoes? read more

Went after my work to pick up my online order and guess what, there's a note on the door saying they closed early today at 6 pm. Manager April very rude..... ask April if a particular Tommy Hilfiger boot was available in a different color, asked if she could look on line. She said no without even looking online then she proceeded to snatch the box out of my hands, couldn't get a connection then walk away without saying anything! I walk to the area she walked to, and with the most unpleasant look on her face said "I told you NO!" WOW...... not surprised the store wasn't crowded 10 days before Christmas! Shame on you DSW for employing staff like that! read more
