Carrying everything from Adidas to Reebok to Nike, Bob's classic Kicks, is on the forefront of the sneaker craze. Set in a lofty building with high ceilings, this store is open, airy, and hip. Open for nearly three years now Bob's has proven that Detroit, especially the Wayne State student body needs a store like this, locally. What I love about Bob's is just because they are the only sneaker store in this specific area, they remain knowledgeable. They truly want to be the best, and provide customers with an unbelievable experience that includes some serious, but friendly sneaker 101'ing. Didn't have the silver metallic flats with no embellishment but the AK would take me far in the office for now. Loving the calf hair black/brown and cream flats, goes with tons of things, much better than the Dr. Scholl's leopard print I bought a while back. I think I buy about 3/4 of my shoe collection from DSW, the rest from boutique shops as I prefer unique wears when possible. Would have been better if I had more than a $5 coupon, oh well, there aren't usually many good coupons that I can use when I find a pair of shoes it would seem.

I like that they carry Naturalizer, but the shoe I wanted is only offered and medium width, and I wear a wide. I asked the young lady who was working why she has no wide dress shoes in the store. She told me that there's not a demand for it and recommended that I order online from their website. That is not the answer I wanted to hear when I was trying to get ready for a special occasion! The employee was not very friendly to me. She could definitely improve on her attitude.

I've been at this location several times and service always impresses me. Famous footwear has a great app, with cool kickbacks and good coupons. I had a 15% off and 10 bucks in kickback cash so I totaly scored which makes me happy and to boot scored points for my next kickback 5 bucks for every 100 spent and with two growing boys a girl has got to appreciate that! All of the closer spots were taken so we had to park in an area where there was tons of rocks and I almost fell at one point. I understand that they are doing construction next door, but they should at least take care of the area where people to need to park for the stores that are open. Anyways, on to the store itself. This location didn't have nearly as much as the Lansing location. The aisles were only have filled. Lame. Maybe since they are newer they didn't get as much inventory? Not sure, but considering that we just moved back to the area I know I will be back, hopefully to a bigger selection.

DSW is my go to spot for a special pair of shoes for my granddaughter or myself. The kids selection is amazing and they even carry Stride Rite brand. The adult and kids clearance section in the back of the store is well worth a look see for a great discount. The service is always good! I like to stop in weekly to a nearby DSW to donate an old pair of shoes to apply toward my DSW reward points. They add up quickly for dollars off of my purchases. Check out their Soles4Soul program. Then, when I asked about the sale for a couple bags which had sale signs above the bags, she told me they weren't on sale and that there was nothing she could do. I went to the Ann Arbor DSW and the bag was on sale. So, I knew I was correct but didn't cause them any trouble because I'm a good person. Unfortunately, since the terrible customer service and respect for their own co-workers, I will never return. That was my first time at that location. Not very smart of them as their job in retail is ending as these kinds of stores are closing because everyone is shopping online. I would suggest to have better customer service even if you don't like who the customers are because we are paying customers that keep you having a job!
