They have an Eetrex scanner which can help measure the exact size of your feet. Many guests were liked up to use it. It appeared to be very intuitive. Date of visit: October 12, 2024 You never know what you might find at DSW, but today those initials could have stood for "Disaster Shoe Warehouse," the place looked like Hurricane Helene had swept through and they just kept on operating! I did not find anything that was even slightly interesting and their selection of shoes for people with giant feet like mine was paltry, a shock to me given that this is the Mall of America after all. Adding to this was that the only employees I encountered were stocking boxes and leaving carts of shoes directly in the aisles that you were trying to navigate. #goodtimes Thankfully did not need to spend more than 10 minutes here to decide that I had had enough and was not going to find anything, though the store was so trashed, maybe I missed all of the size 14s? read more

Stands for: Don't Say Whore. And I mean it. Please don't. I prefer "Gentleman Of The Night." Located at the Mall of America - not to be confused with the Mule of America which of the horse that gets a little bit too overworked. Definitely one of my favourite stores in the Mall of Malls even though it's nowhere near as big as a lot of DSW because it's located in a space that is the size of a normal Mall store and there are so many in this small that they don't really have much space to give anyone five times the size of a normal store and that's why. You'd expect going to the mall on a weekend that this place would be totally trashed. Case in point, the Nordstrom Rack shoe section. BUT, it's always clean and well-organized whenever I stop by. Just last weekend we went for a wander around the mall and naturally I had to stop in. Normally I expect a really picked-over selection with higher mall pricing, but I found a pair - in my size!! - for a super reasonable price. To top that off, the staff are friendly and helpful but never pushy. The cashier even went as far as to get me an extra $5 off my purchase with a coupon! read more

Whoa there are some choices at this location. I pretty well expected a nice selection at DSW at MOA but the best part was the store wasn't a mess with boxes and styles scattered about. PROS: Efficient lay out. Shoes sorted by gender, type, style, sizes in order. Easy check out. There were six clerks at terminals in which no one had to say the computers are slow today. I quickly told the checker I'm not interested in a rewards club or providing my email address and she happily (well maybe too happy) skipped over that part. CONS: Store could be a little better lit. Lighting has kind of an eerie haze. There needs to be a few more benches to try on shoes. The signs say to ask for help if you need another size..but whom? I didn't see anyone floating around or looking official, just the six clerks at the check out station. read more

DSW has *drastically* updated their look. They now have soothing, sexy, ambient music on the background and the displays are a major improvement from the cardboard boxes that I recall from earlier. Wish they could have updated the staff as well. It's a pretty big disconnect to be in the zone shopping for nice shoes and hearing some ghetto hood talk from 2 co-workers back and forth next to me; it really brings down the experience of it all. Managers often are marching throughout the store calling out sales numbers on the walkies - just something the consumer should not be seeing. The lady and I usually walk in and go our separate ways, it's not until about an hour later we tend to run into each other back in the Clearance section. Pretty much any type of foot wear needed can be found at DSW. I always check what I paid with online pricing and other stores in the Mall, DSW always has the lowest price on the same kind of shoe. I've never been to a store so big with a vast variety of shoes to choose from. My girlfriend dragged me in here and we were checking out shoes for about an hour. Decent amount of shoe boxes are all over the place. They're also a bit pricey in my opinion but I do really like the quality and designs that they do offer none the less. Probably the best DSW I've ever seen - certainly it's among the largest and the selection can't be beat. Stock seems well organized too and for the most part they had a wide selection of sizes in each style. Why 3 stars? Well, like every other DSW the staff seems to take joy in actively ignoring patrons. Hopefully you don't have questions or need a different size because there's not going to be anyone around to help. Price point wise, the deals are hit/miss. You may score a super deal (especially in the clearance area) but you very well could do better at Nordstrom's Half Yearly. Men should be aware that they have a good sized sitting area at the front of the store with big leather chairs. You can chill out and play some Candy Crush while the little lady tries on 10,000 pairs of shoes. read more

A ton, seriously a ton of shoes. For men women casual dressy boots. The prices are a bit high but they have a lot of and brand shoes and some brands you probably haven't heard of. The clearance section is rather large also. But sometimes you'll find the cheaper things off the clearance rack. They have plenty of mirrors and benches so you can comfortably try on your shoes and see how great you look. Be careful not to wear your shoes outside if you're considering returning them. DSW has a great selection of all kinds of shoes for both men and women and nicely put a decent amount of sales shoes for women right in the front so we dont necessarily have, to but will likely, walk all the way to the back to see the rest. i got a great pair of running shoes there today, and while i may not believe in the 7 dollars i saved from buying them there than somewhere else (yes, they tell you how much you could have paid for them somewhere else without specifying where that somewhere is), i highly appreciated the little sign next to the shoes i got indicating they had high arches for those of us who are flat footed. if you do need help or advice, it may take awhile to get a salesperson over to you and their vague answers may not come from the most seasoned or knowledgeable shoe experts, as they appeared to all be under 20 and would need to know about 8777 types of shoes to throw out that expertise, but they tell you what you wanna hear, which works. the only let down was that there were few options for running shoes for my giganto size ten feet. read more

They have a clearance room! I love this room. Spent more time here than in the main part of the store! I have Huge feet so I highly appreciate the fact that they place stickers on the larger (and smaller) sizes. Makes shopping easier. Did ya know... they will ship your shoes in their boxes to your home... for free! Yup! That way you can have the box if you need to return/exchange it when you are back home. LOVE THAT!!! read more

This is hands down the DSW location with the most variety of shoes I've ever been to. The place is almost too big, but hey nowhere is too big to fit shoes. Employees are helpful, never pushy. I say get your rewards going and only come here for shoes! read more

I hate shoe shopping but a place like this makes it so much easier. I came here because it was larger then the ones out in CA (where I am from) and it has no sales tax. What I liked too was that there was a men's section in the clearance room. Out in CA all the clearance section is for women. I managed to snag two pairs of great shoes which for me is a big deal. read more

i would give 0 stars if i could.. i ordered shoes a month ago and first they sent my two pairs of shoes to two different stores. so i had to call both stores and get them to ship them to my house where i had ordered them in the first place to. and when i received them i had received two left shoes. i took them back to exchange them and they would not exchange them for the same price, were not apologetic about it and the manager was extremely rude. it is not my fault i received two left shoes, but somehow i got the short end of the stick and couldn't get my shoes at the same price. i think they have horrible customer service and i will no longer support this company. good luck to anyone who orders shoes here. i have heard a lot of bad experiences with them from people, so my advice to you is to save yourself the trouble and stress and shop somewhere else. read more
