Wow, never have I seen customer service like this. Went here for the first (and last) time just to…read morehave my car inspected. The guy doing the inspection might have had the worst attitude I've seen. He barked at me not to pull it in, that was about all the communication he had with me, didn't say a word, didn't even look at me once. Ok, maybe he was having a bad day, whatever, I went into the office to pay and there was 3 people sitting there and, again, not one acknowledged me or looked at me, finally one guy just blurted out what I owe, I paid him, he gave me my change, and that was it, not even a thanks or anything. Its too bad cause I just moved to Winchendon last year and was looking for a new mechanic for my vehicles and my girlfriends vehicles, but it sure as hell isn't going to be this place, I can't understand how they have any positive reviews with employees like this.

Needed a state inspection. Brought car to Rick's auto service , where we were told that the right…read moreball joint was loose and the truck was failed for this. Brought truck back to my mechanic and asked him to replace right front ball joint. Mechanic notified me that the right ball joint had no wear and should definitely pass the Mass State inspectio. I called Rick's to ask if the inspector was there, and he was. I drove truck to Ricks auto service and asked to have car put on the lift again so they could show me the so-called "badly worn" ball joint. Amazingly enough , the ball joint in question was now tight. Must've been the ride to Fitchburg that fixed it? Very dishonest shop, and owner sat cowering in his locked office while all of this unfolded. I can almost accept the extremely rude behavior of the cowardly owner, but the incompetence and just plain lying is really sad. He's lucky he's the only game in town. I was…read moredisappointed by the fact they didn't bother to check the tire pressure because part of the reason I checked in was because one of my tires was low. I basically had to beg them to fill my low tire and they were dismissive about it. The price was fair but quality of service was disappointing.
