Overall I had a good experience. They did a synthetic oil change and replaced a filter. I was disappointed by the fact they didn't bother to check the tire pressure because part of the reason I checked in was because one of my tires was low. Regional manager is a prick to his employees. I pull up to get my oil changed bc my friend recommended me, my uncle used to take care of my car but he recently has become unable to do so. I pulled over beforehand because I had a call to take, but eventually found myself unable to listen to the person on the other end because of the racket I heard coming from the garage. I hear an older man berating his employees to get back to work cleaning if they weren't "going to do anything useful!" These young men had been working in the heat all day and they only sat down to drink a bit of water! They looked exhausted and you can tell this manager hasn't touched a car all day, if not all year. I hope you fire him because that is just not how you treat employees. They're the backbone of your company! His lazy *ss needs a reality check! They deserve a break. I left before getting serviced. I thought valvoline was a cheap and easy alternative, but it's obviously because you get what you pay for. I'll be taking my business to a small business, who treats their employees right, and I've already gotten my friend to discontinue their business here as well. read more

Really just good service. Great to see the experienced techs actively educating the younger ones all while doing the due diligence and Customer service. Awesome job! They do the whole run though of what the manufacturer recommends based on mileage. However, they don't really push unless its genuine concern for an imminent issue you may be having and just not notice it. I'm from MA but they do NH state inspections here - super convenient! I've been a Valvoline customer for years since I love not having to move lol. But it really is worth it for basic maintenance. Check online they sometimes have coupons and Groupon does like this location a lot too. Saves a few bucks! Check in on yelp and get a $ off coupon (based on the location for the amount) ALSO the best sandwich place in the world and a Dunks are nearby - DONT leave without taking advantage. I found the customer service here to be exceptional. Fortunately, I did not have to wait more than a few minutes for my turn and the staff were all friendly and courteous but not overly chatty which can be annoying. I was also impressed by the clean and tidy appearance of the garage. They explained all the options to me without trying to push anything that I did not want. I had planned to have my radiator serviced and a new cabin filter installed as well as an oil change and was pleased that they were able to do this as well and save me a trip to my mechanic. I was also happy that I was told the air filter was fine and did not need replacing which was appreciated. They checked my tire pressure and other fluids and topped off the washer fluid. I will definitely be using them from now on for all my oil changes. read more

So there I was trying to enjoy a cup of coffee and my cigar when I attempted to start my truck and warm up a little. I turn the key and instead of "vrooom", I hear the "clickclickclickclickclick" of death. AARRGGHH ! Why can't batteries fail when it's 72 and sunny ? The last thing I wanted to do was change out the battery in my truck when it's 11 degrees and snowing ! So I had someone else do it. After a quick jump start I set the beast in 4X4 mode and headed over to the Valvoline shop in Rindge. They took me right in and had the battery I needed. The technician checked my old battery and charging system to make sure it was just the old battery and nothing more serious. 20 minutes later I turned the key and heard "vroom !". Followed by the sweet burble of an American V-8. Ah, happiness ! Thanks to their speedy service I'm back in my truck finishing my cigar. Now if they could only do something about the snow. read more

Way too much talking, less sales talk and updates just change my oil, they talk so much it makes you uncomfortable and suspicious like an old man in a panel van offering you candy and asking you to help find his lost dog. in the words of a wise man I don't want to know how the sausage is made I just want to enjoy its flavors. Anyway... everyone seems to get pitch to replace the engine air filter mine looked like it could be considered brand new with 2 minutes with a can of air. Seems like the lady next to me was sold on it. I don't like coupons but they always have them for places like this because they are the Macy's of oil changes marked up price so you can always use the $5 electronic coupon. They have three oil change options that start at too expensive and go up from their all of them "clean your engine with Mobil technology" which is the corny line i hot for each one from the junior tech . Anything in addition to an oil change is awkward to wait in your car and the reality is that even just an oil change is awkward. This is the type or place that preys on house wives anyone else realizes that there isn't much substance in the game they talk and their prices are about three times what you can pay at prompto with less awkward talk and half the time. read more

I was impressed with outstanding quality care and customer service. I enjoyed not having to get out of my vehicle. Instructions were given in a relaxed atmosphere without pressure to purchase extra parts and services, although I left with a desire to return to replace my car's dirty air filter and my third brake light. Service techs were knowledgeable and familiar with my Saturn. I appreciated learning new things about my vehicle and watching the more seasond mechanics teach the other ones about my specific vehicle's unique anatomy, i.e. how to reset the check engine light. Normally I am happy with Valvoline's service, but today I had a negative experience. When I went in for my oil change, I requested that they check my battery because my car seemed to be having some difficulty starting that day. Upon looking, the tech told me that the battery was not located under the hood, but somewhere else in the vehicle and that they could not check it for me nor would they help me locate it. I told the tech that I was 9 months pregnant (due in 1 week) and having a vehicle with the potential to not start made me nervous, but they said this was their policy and there was nothing they could do. When they were done, I went to leave and (sure enough) my car would not start. I asked the tech if he was sure there wasn't anything he could help me with, and he said "I can jump start your car so you can get out of here, but that's about it. Make sure you don't shut your car off until you get someplace you can fix it." At this point, it was 5 pm and no local garage was open. I was shocked and seriously disappointed that they refused to help me change my battery or even locate where in my car it was, despite being a full service garage. I am appalled that they were willing to send me on my merry way, very pregnant and alone out on the road with a dead battery. But that's exactly what they did, jump started my car and I drove out of there. read more
