It's a little hard to tell the exact quality of the inspection until we've lived here for a few years, but it's been over 6 months now and it seems like Blue Lobster was spot on about everything they looked at. We felt they were incredibly thorough (even calling out things like some mold on the underside of the refrigerator water dispenser) and also didn't make us feel too scared about the things that they did find that were not up to snuff. We got a solid picture about the house, and a great, thorough report, that we were also able to give directly to our insurance provider so they could see what they were insuring. Every contact was friendly and professional, and no complaints at all!

Thousands of dollars have already been spent just to address issues of major rot on the home's first floor exterior, rot that was obvious both by sight and touch. More money went into the roof, which had a rotting fascia. I was not present for the inspection but this was a clear case of professionalism trumping experience. We put in an offer on a home and before we knew it were taking the next stpes towards owning a home. Our first step after signing was to have a home inspection done. Our realtor recommened Len and we agreed. He arrived promptyl, greeted us and gave us a qucik run down of what he was going to do. He invited us to follow him arround as closely as we want and to ask as many questions as we want. He already arranged for the radon air tests to have been and collected them at the time of inspection. Len walked through the upstairs, checking out closets, wall, electric outlets and more. He used a heat sensing camera to determine how well the house held heat and to check the insulation. He even climbed into the attic, with the ladder he brough, to see how thick the insulation was. He has a full box of tools to get the job done. He checked water pressure and temperture. He inspected and tested all of the appliances. He did the same for the woodstove and pellet stove. He then combed through the basmen including the boiler, furnace, hot water heater and flooring. He explained in detail all the things he was loooking at. He walked through the garage and the exterior, inspecting the stairs, decks, doors and hot tub. A day later we recieved his report. It included ltows of pictures, an easy to understand and well detailed guide of everything he found. He even made a suggestion for more thorough inspection of the roof. He was so easy to work with and his expertise in his field is eaasily evident. His price is slighlty higher than average but was well worth the extensive work he did. I would definately recommend him to anyone looking for an excellent inspector.

Dean acted rude, combative and generally ill-mannered with me. With Dean, however, billing was a nightmare and he did everything he could to extend his work -- is he hungry or something? I hired him on two more visits (his idea), and on both times he seemed to be doing everything he could to keep extending everything. His report was boiler-plate copy/paste nonsense with pictures thrown in (90% of it was just pictures... thanks... I could have done that myself). On return visits (2!!) he basically did nothing but charged and got super rude about the whole thing. I have all emails, reports and bills to support this review if you're interested. Not happy with his effort at all and everything he did for me was utterly useless to me. EDIT 8/8/2017: I see Dean thinks this is a fake review. He clearly did not see the last paragraph, just above. I have invoices, several emails, and canceled checks to your company. My dealings with you were through a company. I'm happy to provide all this evidence to Yelp for verification. Too bad I didn't record the mean phone calls, too!

Dean was very knowledgable, and found the dream house we were set on was no more than a pig with lipstick on. Poor work practices on the builder of this home was easily spotted by Dean. The 300 well spent dollars saved me from buying a home with 25k worth of repairs.

Greg was pleasant to work with and responded quickly, however the quality we received was far from professional grade. I was invoiced and told the job was completed. When I got home I found cracks and voids on more than one inside corner, proud and sunken screw holes, and joint mesh exposed and not feathered out. They sent someone to fix it and again said everything was all set. I found more proud screw holes and more exposed mesh. They came back again and seemed like they did everything so I paid in full. My first coat of paint exposed tons of "fish eyes ", small round voids in all the joints. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend using this company.
