Being a first time home buy can and is stressful. But I contacted Blue Lobster Home Inspection and got great results! He was able to come out in a timely manner to inspect the house I was looking at. To my understanding most inspectors don't go on the roof but he did. He checked everything including how the windows open due to they cranked out. Made sure the stove, dishwasher and fridge worked. He even setup with the septic inspector for me. He took the time not only answer the 100 questions I had but showed me some of the issues. He most have been there at at least 2 1/2 hours. I had the report in my email that evening. I contacted him with some more questions even after he left and he answered them without any problem. I did receive emails just following up with me on things. He was amazing and would refer him to any and everyone! Used Blue Lobster to inspect a house we had agreed to purchase in Sanford, Maine. The report was timely and thorough and pointed out some things about the roof we weren't aware of. Additional referrals were offered. Long story short, we learned that the roof needed replacing and that the asbestos material in the old roof could be costly to remove and dispose of. We backed out of the purchase and then later learned that the removal of the old asbestos-rubber roof would be WAY more expensive than we'd even feared.
