I have yet to get an apologize to this error. To admit that they made the mistake and still not find a way to fix this. This was very unprofessional by Brandon and his team.

Furthermore, the shut off valves under my kitchen sink are all compromised and now have to be replaced by a plumber. This will cost me hundreds if not more and I have to request that the buildings water supply be shut off. The plumber spent less than 10 minutes being able to see that there were issues. Furious does not begin to express how I feel.

The Inspector Jeremy completed a "very thorough" inspection within 45 minutes of my parents house,…read morethen after claiming that the inspection was over and that it all looked good and after the buyers and the buyers realtor had left the premise he took it upon himself to enter the premises ALONE to "make sure the doors were closed and the lights were off" during this time he claimed to hear a hissing and found what was described as a small leak in my parents bathroom. He shut off the valve to the bathroom sink and the placed a call to the buyers to notify them who claims to have asked Jeremy to shut off the main valve but he decided that would have been "overkill" so he then decided to leave the premises to go and purchase a shop vac to apparently clean up this minor leak however while he was gone because he decided it was over kill to turn off the main water valve to the house which was in the pantry of our kitchen very easy to access, another sink line broke and proceeded to flood our house including the brand new carpet that was less than a month old. Jeremy then tried to pressure us into replacing every single piping line in the house because as he stated "they looked the same" So even though it was overkill to turn off the main water valve, he recommended us replace all the plumbing throughout the rest of the house cause they also could leak. Had Jeremy shut off the main water valve as requested the leak would have been minor and not ruined months worth of painting and trimming and laying new carpet. But as Jeremy stated turning off that one extra valve in the kitchen would have been "overkill" No what is overkill is having to tear out brand new carpet, all of your freshly painted trim and paying over 800$ to a water mitigation company because the inspection refused to work with my parents in any way. What is not overkill though is turning one valve inside the house to turn off the main water source. However after all of this is said and done my parents are forced to go to their insurance company who then goes to the inspectors insurance to find out that the entire story has shifted. You see Jeremy now claims that he was actually still doing the inspection and taking thermal readings inside the house when he heard the hissing. This company is unprofessional and irresponsible and no one from this company will ever inspect any personal property in the future whether buying or selling. Nor would I recommend them to any friends or family.

As soon as the first squirrel took the peanut bait, Rich came right back over (in a snow storm!) to collect the little guy. He repeatedly assured me that he would take him to a nice, safe place, just far enough away so that Mr. Squirrel would not be able to move back into my house. Rich then continued to set traps to catch and release the squirrel family until everyone was accounted for. Finally, once the weather improved he was able to seal the hole in our attic. Chip & Dale will need to find a new clubhouse for their shenanigans this year.

In the past four years I have had THREE different companies come and charge me a good deal of money (i.e. $750.00; $950.00 and $1500.00 respectively) and did not eradicate the problem at all. The first time was three years ago and the squirrels did stay gone for a while but they were back this Thanksgiving when the last two services were employed and did nothing except take my money. Richard Varney did things differently than any of these other companies and that is why he is the best. What he didn't do was just stick a trap up on the roof and expect the squirrels to waltz in it after a few days but no longer than five . . . Both companies said they would seal the holes so there would be no way the squirrels could get back in and both were wrong - they did. Richard came to my house, every day, for over three weeks before he was sure they were out and gone. He trapped the adults but there were still babies. He is the only one I know that put foam in the holes first . . . and then waited to see if it remained or was pushed out - indicating that there was still activity. He built a rest for a trap on the side of the house, because that was where it was needed. He is also the nicest, kindest man I've met in this business. I was devastated when the previous company allowed a trapped squirrel to die of exposure on my roof during a severe rainstorm. I called and asked them to please come and get it before it died, and they said, "All their technicians had gone home" . . . and it died a horrible, slow death. Richard was just the opposite. As soon as I texted him that there was a squirrel in the trap, he was on his way over. He cares about both his clients and the animals he needs to trap. You will get no better than RICHARD VARNEY and ADVANTAGE PEST CONTROL. They were simply the only ones in over three years and four companies that could actually do the job they promised. I urge you to contact Advantage Pest Control for any of your future needs.

Ephraim showed up on time and inspected the roof with ladder and drone. He replaced the damaged shingle we were aware of and replaced another damaged one that he found in different place on our roof. Now our roof is fixed and with the drone inspection we know there are no problems hidden in areas that we can't see. The cost for the repair seemed quite reasonable, especially considering that they did not install the roof to begin with.

The electrical lighting in the kitchen does not work. The thermostat on the 2nd floor does not work. The heating in the 2nd floor bathroom is not effective. These are basic issues. They should have been identified, reported, and the Seller should have been asked to fix them as standard procedure in the contract. Inspect Maine walks away without any accountability, and I am stuck with the thousand dollar bills, in addition to a $40k new septic system and a $30K house painting project. It goes without saying that this was a disappointing experience, and that I cannot recommend this company.
