It doesn't seem plausible to me that it would be necessary for them to be there since the fire department would be too busy dealing with a fire to talk to them. I realize that going to a fire is far more exciting than meeting with a prospective client. These last minute cancellations have happened to me twice before with other companies I have made appointments with in the past year. It must be clearly understood by the managers of these companies that people often times have to take time off from work and deal with other inconveniences to meet with workmen and last minute cancellations are unacceptable. You only get one chance with me. Next time I will reschedule and purposely miss the appointment and let them know what it's like to have someone waste your time.

They were not in our contract, but they guys took it upon themselves to level the steps. They even reused a railroad tie from another part of the property. Perfectionism and going above and beyond seems to be part of the Maineway Landscaping & Excavation culture. Tony estimated the job would take 2 weeks. It was completed in 8 days. They took a job they probably should not have taken which ultimately ended in a missed inspection and the City taking responsibility for fixing the issue. When requesting to speak to the owner he had his office manager call me back and instead of owning the mistake they blamed the designer, the city, and me for not having an inspection done before buying our home. They've avoided contact with me in regards to the service they provided. A company should take ownership and accountability for their errors. Even though the city made it right they should have taken accountability for something as serious as installing a septic tank backwards and not kicking the v can down the road. The owner should have the gumption to speak to clients who they've wronged instead of having his office manager and wife blame everyone else in a snarky and condescending tone. I wouldn't hire them for any work if they can't stand behind their services.

Then they filled all the cracks and areas where gasoline had eroded the asphalt with a hot thick rubber compound. And they did not skimp on the rubber. Then they sprayed and mopped the commercial driveway sealant on. They took much care not slopping the sealant onto the walkway, grass, shrubs or garage.
