Since the recent remodel and reopening the ambiance is good, better than before. Food, not so much. It is fair (at best and 20% more expensive for a smaller portion) and service, while very pleasant is much slower than before. Was told over and over again that this store has great sandwiches and cookies. A good spot to stop for lunch while you're working. Stopped in last week for the first time, wasn't greeted when I went in, waited 10 minutes at the deli counter for anyone to notice I was there. Then was greeted with the most disgusting attitude, almost like it was annoying to the staff that I was even inside the building. Then when I was checking out, the cashier lady didn't say a single word to me, nothing but glaring at me and attitude. I walked in with my work clothes on, maybe they just don't like blue collar workers. The cookie was good, not the best (burnt on the edges) and the sandwich looked like it was thrown together by a toddler, not to mention they didn't even put cheese on the sandwich when I clearly asked for cheddar. I won't be returning or recommending this place because why should I feel like a nuisance in a deli giving you my business. Plenty of other great spots in the area for a bite to eat. I'll also be calling a health inspector because the kitchen looked absolutely disgusting like it hadn't been cleaned all week. With all the businesses going out of business lately...you would think owners would take notice and make people feel welcome. Dirty, crappy attitudes and mediocre food. First of all, I just want to say the place is great. the inside is super cool and totally old-school. The checkout, employees and sandwich employees are always very kind. I always get a buffalo chicken sandwich on white bread with whatever vegetables and condiments I decide. all occasionally pick something else up an ice cream or chips,The prices are great. Dublin General store is a fine place. Very quaint and comforting, I would give this place a 3 until I struck gold and found their Gatorade stash in the back. My heart was fulfilled. As a celiac I was pleased when the knowledgeable woman behind the counter alerted me they are not a gluten-free facility. However, I still ordered a gluten-free ham and cheese sandwich and it was-- good. Now that I'm thinking about it, the sandwich had a SURPLUS of ham and a SHORTAGE of the rich cheddar I was craving. Best Italian sub in all of NH! Literally like 2 lbs of meats and cheese. I could only eat half for lunch and saved half for dinner. For $8.95, that's a bargain. My wife enjoyed her cranberry walnut chicken salad sub. Homemade cookies are enormous. We will certainly be back. read more

Pick up their marinated steak tips, bring them home and cook them up. You won't regret it. Get a big hunk of cheddar from the deli case while you are at it. I am giving the Dublin General Store my top rating because i think their food is absolutely wonderful. All their soups are great. I remember one I had last summer that was a deep rich mushroom soup laced with sherry. Wow. They make great salads, wonderful sandwiches. And don't forget to take a peak into their air conditioned cooler to the left of the counter to see what sweets they have on offer that day. There hasn't been one I haven't loved. This place has the best cookies (they are large, thick, and moist) at just $1 apiece. My wife and I always get several when we stop by. She loves the chocolate chip oatmeal. Recently we had lunch there. We had the pulled pork and the barbeque brisket sandwiches and they are surprisingly good. They are also extra large, so think about just ordering 1 and splitting it, unless you are really hungry. Everybody in the store is really nice and helpful. It's a great place to stop by. read more

I was excited to eat lunch (even though it was about 9am and not even close to lunch time) but we ordered a foot long chicken sandwich grabbed some chips and some drinks and off we went. The sandwich wasn't great. It didn't really taste that good and I'm not sure why. I could live on deli sandwiches and I could barely get half of this one down. Not thrilled. Rude just rude. I have been there twice. Once about 8 months ago passing by. Place is very cute, smells great, good selection, seems clean. But once we started dealing with the people behind the food counter things changed. Not friendly all. Didn't want to go back. 2 days ago we were passing by and stopped. I sometimes stop here on my way up to Harrisville on the weekends. The people here are very nice and always greet you kindly. They have great prepared foods as well as fresh sandwiches/wraps. This is a terrific store. We stop by here when we are hiking in the area (we are "local" but not in-town local) and need something quick and delicious to eat. They have a good selection of sandwiches... the chicken cranberry salad is my favorite. The prices are reasonable. They also have some hot foods... today I saw mac & cheese, fried chicken, and chicken pot pie. My wife got the fried chicken. And their cookies... $1 for a gigantic cookie.
