Has gotten so much better in the last year. Produce is exceptional. Deli staff are great. Prices are lower and selection has broadened. check out staff are really great. We have stopped going to MB since their prices have risen and quality of produce is terrible. Not worth the gas to go to Market Basket unless we are already driving by. read more

This Shaw's has gone downhill over the past year. The produce is unreliable (sometimes it's very fresh while other times you'll see rotting broccoli). The beef is not good at all compared to all the other local stores but sometimes the boneless chicken is very good. Spring water is twice as expensive as Market Basket. The only thing that keeps me going back are the rainbow bagels but other than that I'm starting to actively avoid this place. The store is dark and doesn't seem especially clean. read more

We've been using Shaw's's drive up and go service for a couple of years now and it's very convenient. The people who work there are all friendly and helpful. My kids regularly ask for the fancy themed cakes from Shaws for their birthdays. I particularly like their deli. read more

I've shopped here a number of times. I clip their Coupons, there sales start on Friday, about by noon that day they are sold out. This is recurring, so they're there is never anything on sale there or very limited. False adverting. How can you have a 3-day sale and product runs out in 4 hrs? Welcome to hell. Never have I ever purchased such inedible produce. Every single time we've gone here, we've always come home with half rotted fruits and vegetables, and paid up to 4 times the price of our local Market Basket. I can't imagine why anyone would shop in such a confusingly organized and barren place. Other than having literally no other options. read more

THIS Shaw's -- while not as big as the one in Milford -- complies with Covid-safety policies. All employees are wearing masks and so are the customers. Additionally, the store is always clean -- and shelves stocked well, prices are reasonable. We're in a Pandemic -- and even going to a grocery store is a risk. Unless corporations insist that every store applies the strongest safety measures -- like Shaw's/Pb does -- we should stop going. Steer clear of the Shaw's in Milford. My least favorite grocery store in the area. Prices are not awesome. Produce is Meh. The convenience factor is all it has going for it in rural NH. Fish counter is the highlight as another reviewer said. But compared to Hannafords and Market basket not all that impressive. read more

Hate. 10 is a win because we don't care about real feedback just want to look good to corporate. Well here is my real feedback shaws. Don't do stupid stamp collection deals that save me $10 on a $20 pan if buy a thousand dollars worth of groceries, you insult my intelligence. Don't keep me waiting at the self checkout even though I ask for help at customer service three times. Why do you slice your deli meat so ridiculously thick, no matter how much I ask for sliced thin I always get fatty junky cuts. Prices are like 20 percent more than other grocery stores in the area. I feel like sometimes there is one register open and 10 people in line and no one blinks an eye. Baggers act really spazzy to get you out of the store and forget to put something in your bags. With all those disappointing aspects my favorite is not being acknowledged at all while the cashier and bagger talk about what parties they are and are not going to. read more

The worst grocery store in the Monadnock region. If you're looking for dead produce (check out the artichokes-- or try to find a nice non-hothouse tomato), expired perishables (yogurt), broken product (eggs), ridiculous promotions (monopoly, pots and pans), poor selection, high prices and empty promises--- get asked ' did you find what you were looking for', answer 'no', supply details, and they don't write anything down! Not much affordable grocery choice in this area, but this isn't bad. We kept records of prices and with careful planning on sale and discount items, we don't end up spending more here than if we drove to market basket. Produce area has improved over the last year, especially organics. Selection within the store is pretty good, even for esoteric stuff like borscht and thai. Really GOOD selection of morningstar and quorn. The checkout lines are no problem to me, the high school kids working there are well supervised and polite for the most part. Clean and neat store. CONS stupid irritating stamp promotions for trashy junk we don't want, need, can pick up free at the dump swap shop or cheap at a yard sale. Rachel Ray? Really??? At least now, the clerks leave stamps next to the credit card machine so someone else can use them.....not many people seem to do so. read more

Pros: They have stuff on clearance ALL OF THE TIME, lots of shelf stable stuff, there's even a clearance area in the dairy (fridge) section, plus personal care stuff & baby items. It's always quiet, even on weekends. Always clean. Decent fish counter. They have self check outs. Cons: It's really small compared to most other Shaw's supermarkets. They clearly didn't do their research about the area before they put up shop. If they did, they'd know that they'd make a killing if they had a wonderful organic section. They do have some organics in one area & others spread out throughout the store so that's kind of annoying. Because the store is so small, they can't fit a large variety of stuff in there (of course the upside of that is they have stuff 50% all of the time to clear it out & make room for other stuff so that's good if you're looking to stock up on shelf-stable items). It tends to be pricy like other Shaw's (but again, the clearance stuff makes it worth the occasional trip to see what's cheap). read more

Prices too high. The only reason that they did not get cut in the last closings is that Market Basket was further than 15 min from their location. I recently bought "sale" items only to find that they were past the "sell by" date. Prices are higher than Market Basket just 20 min away. When you buy produce... unless you KNOW what you are looking for... GOOD LUCK! Dried out packages and with mold. The only reason I go there is when I am in a pinch and need to get a quick item. Kind of like a gas station. Over all, I would say, that as a resident of the town that this location is in... I will drive 20 min to Rindge NH to buy my needs. Less expensive and better quality... I'd go only if I didn't have time to go elsewhere. They have a full aisle of beer, a full aisle of frozen pizza and single serving frozen dinners, but when it comes to options other than large national brands? Nope... not enough room. Also, it's a great place to wait in line because they don't open more than a couple of registers. read more

Shaw's in Peterborough is alright. There isn't much choice regarding conventional grocery stores in the area (at least large ones.) They do have an organic produce section (although it's divided into two areas of the produce section which is a bit confusing if you haven't figured it out yet) and their berries are almost always on the fresh side which is good. They also have quite a selection of other organic products throughout the store. read more
