    Regular lobster roll
    Sara T.

Everyone knows Kimball's has the best ice cream around! Besides that, their seafood options are delicious. This location has the ice cream stand, grill and seafood options and country store. The portions for ice cream and seafood are huge! The lobster roll is great. There are two sizes, regular and junior. The regular is 8oz, junior 5oz. The bun is toasted and buttery and the meat has a light mayo. I got the regular size and it was so big I couldn't even see the bun! It is pricey for the regular at $34.99 but we split it between two people and that was perfect. It comes with 2 sides.

Kimball Farms in Jaffrey was a nice outing for my husband, toddler, and I. The food was decent, and the ice cream sizes were surprisingly generous - even the small felt like a pint of Ben and Jerry's! (Seriously!) We enjoyed our time will hopefully be back!

I had to go for their lobster rolls!! They offer two size lobster rolls. The regular and the junior. I got the regular lobster roll. I was complete surprised at how good the roll was. The lobster meat was fresh, they gave you a good amount of lobster and there was not much mayo on it. The bun was toasted perfectly for that nice crunch! I love how it came with fries and the watermelon! My cousins got the fried seafood platter and that was delicious too. The seafood was fried but you could still taste the delicious fish. To end the day we had homemade pumpkin ice cream, which was a die for! If you don't like seafood but are in the area of a Kimball Farm I recommend stopping for food, ice cream or just relaxing!

    Mini chocolate chip cookie dough

Pros: -Lots of outdoor seating -Good mix-in density Pro/Cons: -Sizes are HUGE. There were no sizes displayed at the window we were at so several of us got smalls and it was clearly too much--almost a pint probably! I advise getting a Mini which is about one 1/2-3/4 cup serving (probably a bit more). -- Overall, good quality ice cream (super thick) with lots of mix-ins, but I wasn't blown away by any flavor we got (Kahlua crunch, heath bar crunch, chocolate raspberry, cookie dough, mint n' cookie--a little too minty).

Mint Chocolate Chip and Raspberry Chip Ice Cream in a Kimball's Farm Cup
    Bridget M.

Really Good Ice Cream! Be Forewarned: MASSIVE SERVINGS Ordered Mint Chocolate Chip and Raspberry Chip Ice Cream in a Kimball's Farm Cup. To me: that means a small scoop of each side by side in a cup. To the staff: they incorporate a "scoop" to be a full cup so when I received my ice cream it was doubled up with a full scoop above the rim. I stood their gawking wondering how my order was misinterpreted. I then explained and asked to half my request - they were very understanding and quickly made adjustments. So grateful.

If this is a small coffee icecream cone just picture a large..

That's service! And I won't forget it. All the staff was very kind and she checked in with me several times during my meal to make sure it was going well. The ambiance is a little noisy but it's a raw bar that has sports on. The food is delicious. I could have eaten the Cippino forever! The broth was a complex delicious and perfectly spiced tomato base. The seafood was plentiful and large sized. I have never seen shrimp so big! I also ate oysters and had an amazing home made peaches and cream cheese cake. Listen I don't really like cheese cake but I could eat that cake everyday for the rest of my life. Everything from start to finish once I sat down. Was delicious and the staff was very kind. This food was fired fresh in the kitchen. I could see if from my bar seat. Staff appeared uninterested and inattentive, and we had to repeatedly ask for basic items. The food did not justify the prices at all. Overall, this restaurant is overrated and did not live up to expectations. I won't be returning and would not recommend it unless there are serious improvements in both service and food quality.

Bob the owner was extremely polite and very helpful, offering help and suggestions for my selections. I picked up large sea scallops, ahi tuna, Scottish salmon, blue crab salad and some smoked salmon. All very tasty and as fresh as it gets unless you catch it yourself. But, be prepared to pay a premium price for any seafood bought from Cold Harbor. The nice lady at the register noticed that I was a Veteran and said they give a 15% Veterans discount on some, not all items with proof of service. The quality of their products and great service is definitely worth the price!

If you told me I'd find some of the best seafood of my life in landlocked Southern Vermont, I…read moreprobably wouldn't have believed you--but Anchor Seafood House & Grille is the real deal. This place has been a Wilmington staple since 1997, and you can tell they've spent the last nearly 30 years perfecting the craft. The atmosphere is incredible. While the original 1850s building was lost to a fire in 2010, the current space is a beautiful, faithful replica that feels historic and cozy. It's the perfect spot for a post-ski dinner or a summer night out. Here's the breakdown of what you need to order: The Chowder: This is proper New England clam chowder. It's thick, rich, and loaded with clams--not just a bowl of potatoes and heavy cream. It's the ultimate comfort food. Steamers: You have to start with the steamers. They are clean, sweet, and served the traditional way with a side of broth and drawn butter. It's a messy, delicious classic that they do perfectly here. Whole Belly Clams: These are the gold standard. They're lightly breaded, perfectly fried, and have that sweet, briny pop you usually only find at a roadside shack on the Maine coast. If you're a fan of "the bellies," don't skip these. The Lobster: I went for the steamed lobster, and it was impeccable. Succulent chunks of fresh meat and just the right amount of butter. It tasted like it was caught that morning. It's rare to find a spot that balances a "fancy night out" feel with such unpretentious, high-quality food. Whether you're a local or just passing through for the foliage, make sure you stop here.

The sampler consisted of haddock, salmon, scallops, and shrimp. The dish contained plenty of the fish and only two pieces each of the scallops and shrimp. The dish was not what I was expecting because of the crumb topping and creamy sauce. It was fine. We definitely got a good portion and the linguine with garlic and oil was fantastic! It was definitely garlicky, just the way I like it.

I never thought I'd have to write a review like this, but I feel responsible to share what happened so others can stay safe and aware. Recently, I ordered 10 lobsters -- six that I ate there, and four extra that I bought from the market to take home. While eating, I noticed immediately that the lobster tasted off. It was watery, the texture felt wrong, and the flavor wasn't what it usually is. I even mentioned that to them. Not long after, I became extremely sick -- sick enough to end up in the ER. I didn't go in person, but I called the restaurant to let them know what happened. Not to argue, not to demand anything... just to inform them. As someone who has supported this business consistently, I expected at least a little concern. Instead, I was put on hold, picked up, and told they didn't have time for me. And even worse -- I could hear someone in the background say: "Oh, it's that girl... yeah, don't talk to her. Ignore her."... I ONLY CALLED X2 (CALLED BACK BECAUSE THEY TOLD ME TO FIND THE DATE THEN CALL BACK).. I had just spoken to the guy 15 minutes prior to call back and get told he was never there.... I never got to speak to him again) ... DEREK IS HIS NAME. Honestly hearing that broke my heart. After years of loyalty, thousands spent, and supporting them consistently, that's how they spoke about me. No care, no respect, no acknowledgment that I had gotten seriously sick AND ALMOST DIED!!!! I'm sharing this because customer safety matters, and so does how customers are treated when something goes wrong. I hope this encourages the business to take food safety and customer care much more seriously, because nobody should have to go through what I did NOBODY EVER! SHOULD HAVE TO ALMOST LOSE THEIR LIFE OVER FOOD! AND HAVE THE RESTAURANT YOU'VE SUPPORTED HANG UP ON YOU AND NOT CARE FOR YOUR LIFE...

The sign says Fish Market & Chowder Company, but what you walk into is 95% restaurant, 5% "technicality fish market," and that last 5% is doing the kind of work that would make a union rep cry. Let's be clear: The Angler is no longer selling fresh seafood. Not in any meaningful, market‑based, "take this home and cook it" way. What they are selling is the idea of a fish market -- the ghost of one -- while running a packed dining room full of people slurping oysters like it's a Cape Cod tourist trap in July. And speaking of tourist traps: They've got a tour bus parked outside. A tour bus. For a "local fish market." That's like seeing a stretch limo outside a Dollar Tree -- you immediately know something is off. As a chef, my time is valuable. As a food reviewer with an actual show, my time is documented. And nothing ticks me off faster than false advertising dressed up as nostalgia. If you've abandoned the fresh fish counter because the restaurant side makes more money? Fine. But update your signage. Update your branding. Stop wasting people's gas and goodwill. I walked in looking for fresh haddock. What I got was wall‑to‑wall oyster eaters and not a single square foot dedicated to what the sign promised. You can get oysters anywhere. You cannot get a proper local fish counter everywhere -- and certainly not in a space this cramped. If ownership wants to reach out and explain the pivot, I'm open to it. I'll even give them a redemption arc on one of my platforms. But right now? This new direction is the wrong fit for the location, the footprint, and the legacy they're trading on. Call me when you're ready to rebuild. I'll help. But today? Today was a misstep -- and an avoidable one.
