After getting to a place in which it was safe to get off the highway, I learned that a front tire had blown in two places. So I waited and waited as cars whizzed by, most people don't carry dead cell phones!Finally a Worthington Police Vehicle stopped. This man changed my tire, he was so kind and patient. His name is Wayne O'Neal. I was on my way to Wednesday Evening Prayers at Olentangy Christian Reformed Church just off N Broadway. I let him know special prayers would be given for his kindness, and for God's blessing and protection for all these great men.

Recently I contacted the City of Dublin because my trash bin was broken. They immediately returned my call and were very nice and understandable of the issue. It was the trash people that broke it so they realized this resident needs a replacement soon. Although I could not take all my trash bags out last week for the new bin, I will definitely be receiving a new one this Thursday and that is why I'm happy to give them a five star review. They handled the issue in a timely manner and left me feeling reassured that I'll get what I need as soon as possible. Since I'm a new homeowner, I always thought you would collect the trash bin at the city hall but I must have been mistaken because they just deliver it to your home which of course is very convenient for me as I do not own a truck to haul it back home. In addition, I have been very pleased with the city in the measures it takes to protect our homes while we are away. They send their police department out to monitor your house while your on vacation. I cannot speak for any other city that does this but this is the first I've heard of this. As well as handling the recent mosquito outbreak in Dublin for what was assumed as West Nile. They sprayed multiple times around the area to make sure residents would be safe. The City of Dublin is surely doing their work well and I'm happy they are quick to respond to any issues. It's reassuring and feels great overall to have a city that cares about its own residents.

Dublin, Ohio, has a claim to fame: It has the longest, single tower S-shaped suspension bridge in…read morethe world! The Dublin Link connects the Dublin historic district to Bridge Park, which is an up-and-coming area with lots of restaurants, a weekly farmers market and entertainment. It's a pretty impressive bridge, as far as suspended walkways go. From the middle of the bridge, you can get a great view of the Scioto River on either side. It opened to the public in 2020, so it's relatively new. This pedestrian bridge is incredibly wide, and you'll see lots of walkers and runners, and also bicyclers going across it. The areas on either end of the bridge have little places to sit and hang out, especially the side of the bridge that ends/begins at Bridge Park. If you visit Dublin, you definitely have to take a stroll across this bridge.

Opened since 2018, it remains very clean and well-kept…read more It has two floors, with most of the children's books and activities on the first level, and adult books and study spaces on the second level. This helps separate the noise originating in the child area from those looking for more of a quieter space upstairs. It has 11 different independent study rooms that can be reserved, with most intended for 2-4 people. They can be reserved ahead of time online, or in person on a tablet on the second floor near the restrooms. There is also a very large quiet study room with windows for plenty of natural light. There is a cafe on the main level for coffee and snacks. Parking is also a breeze, with a very large lot out front. All in all, this is one of my favorite branches in the Columbus Metropolitan Library system.

This well preserved marker is not part of the State of Ohio's program. Instead, it is part of the…read morelocal Clintonville Historical Society. Located along busy High Street and across from a chicken restaurant, it remembers one of the oldest residents of the area. Certainly someone I would like to have met. The marker reads: "The Treaty of Greenville temporarily ended the Indian Wars and opened the West to white settlers. Kihue (aka Bill Moose), a Native American and member of the Wyandotte tribe, was born in Ohio in 1837. By 1846, all but twelve Wyadotte families and removed to Kansas. Bill and his family remained in Ohio. They kept the native traditions, traveling throughout the state, using the rivers as guides. In 1878 Bill Moose joined the Sells Brothers Circus. he traveled the world playing the role of Indian in Bill Cody's Wild West Show. In 1915 he returned to Central Ohio. He made his home in a cave in the Overbrook (Adena) Ravine. When this cave home collapsed, neighbors built him a cabin at the corner of Indianola and Morse Roads. Bill lived in that cabin for many years. He entertained the children of the area with his life stories. Ultimately he moved to the Franklin County Home for the Aged. Kihue died on July 12, 1937, a few months shy of his 100th birthday. Tens of thousands were said to have attended his funeral. His final resting place is along the Scioto River. Fire Station 72 is located adjacent to the Reed Road Park, and there is an excellent view of the…read moreback of the station from the playground. As one can imagine, this combo is hard for fire truck-loving kids to resist, especially if the doors are open and the trucks visible. The firefighters here are so friendly and will come out and greet the kids and chat about topics ranging from how different tools they use work to the trucks themselves to the history of the retired old fire truck that's housed inside of the station at the front of the building. There's also a cute little dalmatian dog statue seated in front of the station too. Very kind and friendly folks!
