Play All Day, though, is a totally different kind of boarding. The dogs are active throughout the day, both with other animals and with the people who work here. April is great with dogs of all sorts of personalities, matching them up with other dogs they'll like, and gradually helping them warm up to the new environment. Our dog was very nervous about the daycare/boarding, but she worked with him over several visits, and by the time we picked up him after a 10+ night stay, he... well, he was happy to see us, but I don't think he really wanted to go home! The services here are more expensive than at many other boarding facilities, but we found that it's ultimately an awesome value for the great care that they provide, and the knowledge that our dog isn't just getting fed and let out to potty, but is actually having a great time. We will definitely be using Play All Day again and would recommend to absolutely any dog owner to try them out for daycare or boarding.

I would not hesitate for one second to call and ask if she can come to daycare for any reason. We're wanting to take a vacation, call PAD. We wanted to go to the fair for a day and had no one to let her out at home, called PAD. They really are like a second home to our dog and I'm so glad I called and got on the waiting list when she was only 10 weeks old. We used to use the vet's boarding in town for my older dog and it was awful because he was in a typical concrete kennel with dog barking echoing in his ears for 24 hours a day, only being let out to potty a few times a day. I did not want this for my young dog so I looked for alternatives and this is the complete opposite at PAD. My dog is only crated at nap time and bed time, just like it would be at my house and I know she's so tired from running crazy all day that she probably gets in her crate at daycare and goes right to sleep. Daycare is a 50 minute drive for us one-way and as soon as we turn onto Carver Ln, she's pacing back and forth because she knows we're almost there. We walk in, they say hi to Ruby and she's already racing towards the play door. This is a heart-felt review and I feel like when I drop her off, sounds silly, but it's like dropping a toddler off at grandma's house. You know she'll be taken care of and you don't worry that she's getting into things.

Please read this letter. This older couple needed an older dog not a puppy. They are Korean and they do not believe in medical care for Charlie. This is in their culture. They are excessively frugal. She was giving Charlie 1 tsp. of rice every hour.This has been going on for weeks.(not prescribed by a vet) Charlie is also home sick. I know he has a broken heart. He will either die of malnutrition or a broken heart. This breeder has made sure her family has taken the side of this con artist who is very smooth. He can make anyone believe his lies. They choose this man over a true friend. The breeder has also made sure that nobody talks or communicates with me. You can't correct anything when you don't communicate. This couple is very scared and fearful so they go along with her. This behavior toward me has hurt me more than you can imagine. They can get the dog back , it is in the contract. They just do not want to. With a very heavy heart please, I am so sorry to say this but do not use any of the breeders I have listed above.They do not care about Charlie al all They don't care about his health or happiness. I happened to stumble across a dog named Finneas through Foster Pet Outreach on PetFinder that I absolutely fell in love with. I immediately filled out the adoption application, and even though their application states they typically prefer adopters to be within a certain distance from them, I took a chance (we live in Wisconsin) and within a day I received a response. I got in contact with Finneas' foster mom (who was very responsive and sweet!) We drove down that week to meet him, and the staff was very helpful and answered all our questions, had all of his vet records available and even provided us some essentials to go home with. Two months later he is the best addition that I could have ever asked for. Overall, we had an amazing experience with this rescue, and I highly recommend!

I…read morealready had four dogs and zero intentions of adopting another but this dog just drew me into her orbit and I was a goner. Andi, my sunshine dog, brings light to my life every day. While talking to the rescue folks I uttered the fateful words "you know, I always thought I'd like to foster..." and that's all it took. They knew a sucker when they saw one. I'm happy to report, dozens of successfully placed fosters and five more foster fails later, I am living my best life. You'll see a few negative reviews here for FPO and I can truly understand, as it can be very disappointing when an adoption doesn't work in your favor. To that I can only respond that as an organization placing dogs whos previous owners have abandoned, neglected and/or abused them, we have to be highly selective in our placements. The animals in our care have already been failed once, twice and sadly, sometimes multiple times. Choices have to be made and because the animals cannot speak for themselves, we have to speak for them and try hard to match their needs to the adopter. And when a particular animal has multiple qualified applicants, someone will always be disappointed. Most are mature enough not to write a bad review because they weren't chosen. The organization runs on only volunteer efforts and donated funds. We lose money in every adoption because we spend extensively on vetting to get the animals in the best health they can be to go to their new homes. Our contract - which every adopter signs - states upfront our fees are non/refundable-which is the standard in the industry. And to Tim B, there was definitely a miscommunication. When you told us of your several upcoming trips and how you wouldn't be ready for a few more weeks/months to adopt, we took that to mean that while you were interested in the dog, you had other previous plans which understandably took priority over the adoption. Like you, we absolutely want what is best for the animal, in fact, it guides our every choice. You'll be happy to know this particular dog found a wonderful home. They also had vast experience with special needs dogs and even better, were ready to adopt at that time.
