Amazing just to camp on the Wind River. We have been enjoying this beautiful park for 7- years now. We love love love it here. The staff are the most loving and helpful staff ever. The park is kept very neat and clean. Craig and Richard and Ken deliver wood to our site whenever we need it. Our friends and family now meet us here every year. Dubois KOA is my go to place to stay in Dubois. Great service. Clean. Well laid out campground. Close to store for groceries. WiFi works well in all spots. The same staff over the years has always made me feel welcomed. read more

Pros: -staff was so friendly and helpful -good tent site -24 hour laundry -nice camp store -bathrooms were so clean! (Best part) Cons: -there's a busy gravel road right next to the tent sites and it can get noisy at night/early morning We would definitely stay here again! read more

We stopped here on our way through and again on our way back. The campground is clean & quiet. The spots are either great (by the river) or terrible (along side of the bathroom). We had a very nice spot on our first stay - 5 stars. Unfortunately, I think we had the worst spot on the second trip. We have a 30amp RV and were given a 50 amp spot. When I asked about this at the office, I was handed a converter. The woman working kind of chuckled when I asked about a better spot. We were closed in on both sides by sage (hello allergies) close enough that the slide barely had room to extend. Would I stay there again? Not sure. Only if we could reserve one of the nicer spaces. read more

This review is not about a stay at this KOA, but the lack of customer service and alerting us that there was a fire in the area with routes to the campsite closed. On the day of our reservation Highway 26 was closed due to fire and evidently had been closed for a few weeks and the fire had been going on for sometime. at no time including when we booked this Dubois KOA were we alerted to the possibility our route to the campsite may need to be changed due to local conditions. We were coming from the Seattle area. We found out the day that we left Yellowstone and heading east on Highway 26 that the road was closed. we contacted the KOA and told him that we would not be able to get there due to the fire and requested a refund. We even offered for them to keep $25 of the fee for handling charge. We were advised we could take an alternate route, adding an additional 5 to 6 hours to our travel time to get there. That was their recommendation. They refused to give us a refund of any amount. Again, we received no updates no alerts from this KOA that fire in the area Was raging and possibly roads would be closed. I am very disappointed with this KOA Dubois, and very disappointed with KOA in general. Good Sam is looking like a much better option at this point. read more

What an awesome place. We are KOA members and have stayed at many across the country. This was top notch. Cindy & Howard were the best hosts that a traveling family could have asked for. Not only did they map out our Yellowstone route for us, they explained details that only locals would know. Super helpful and friendly! Everything about this KOA was perfect. Our dog was diagnosed with kennel cough last night at the emergency vet. We tried to cancel our tent site for tonight and they will not make an exception for a refund. We offered to provide documentation so they knew we weren't lying. We didn't want our dog around other dogs as she is contagious and to be coughing and keeping other campers up all night. This was something out of our control and were hoping they would recognize that. We were trying to do the right thing. They are not. It's a tent site. It was just one night. They are to busy worrying about the money than being a decent human being. read more

Everything about our stay was just wonderful. We stayed at 3 other spots during our trip and this was hands down the best experience of the 4 (which I expected, because I love KOAs!). The staff was so friendly and helpful- even helped us figure out how to make sure my husband's CPAP machine could be plugged in although we were staying in a teepee. Great price and everything was super clean. Our kids loved the playground and indoor pool/arcade. KOAs for the win once again. read more

Felt spoiled at this KOA. Not only are the employees super sweet and go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect but the dishwashing sink is indoors and has hot water- after camping for a week at Yellowstone this felt like luxury. We stayed in a camping cabin and it was so clean. The bathrooms were also incredibly clean. Will definitely be back. read more

A quaint little campground tucked away in a really small city. Came here for one night and we were able to enjoy the silence which was a nice treat after coming straight from Yellowstone and the Tetons which were packed. The employees were all very nice and our site was level and spacious. The views of the river were really nice. The pool was indoors and very large and there was a nice playground next to it. Would have been really nice for kids. It was a little boring on a Sunday night but what else can one expect in the middle of Wyoming. Showers were clean but the doors were really short which made it awkward when someone else came into the bathroom. Would stay again if in the area! read more

We had a great time at this KOA!! The cabins are super cozy and the bathrooms are so clean!! The excellent water pressure in the very hot showers is worth mentioning. Also Pamela and Gary were so helpful and friendly! We will be coming back for sure on our next trip to the Tetons! read more

Stayed while we explored the Teton and Yellowstone. The park is very clean and quiet. The employees were exceptional and friendly. Even rented an ATV and ventured around the area. Even gone fishing and biked some trails. Best KOA or Rv park! read more

Pretty nice campground - we've stayed there before and we'll stay there again. It's right close to the center of town. They provide more facilities than a lot of the KOAs do, and I appreciate that. I do wish they'd fix some of little things though, locks on the toilets and such.... Otherwise it's a great place. read more

I haven't stayed in a KOA in a while, and I was reluctant to with Covid season coming and going. A self-isolating road trip seemed okay, but camping at a place like this seemed risky. But my friend booked a tent site that was very tidy. The bathrooms were kept immaculately clean. The staff was friendly. It was easy to stay distant from everyone. If I have to ding it for one thing it was the wood they were selling that everyone was buying and burning. Not sure if it was very pitchy pine, but it was not the highest quality and it generated a smoke that burned and stung our eyes far worse than I've ever experienced in a lifetime of camping. read more

I've stayed in many KOAs, and this is far and away the prettiest! Located right in the heart of the quiet town of Dubois, you're a short walk away from the limited and pleasant amenities on offer there: a few restaurants and coffee shops, a couple of convenience stores, and a liquor store. The Wind River runs right along the edge of the campground. My family stayed in a deluxe cabin, which was clean and new-looking. It had a nice porch and deck and fire ring, and a wonderful view onto the river. I left the window open at night to listen to it! You are still more than an hour away from the entrance to Yellowstone here, but I would come back just to do things around Dubois. Everybody at the KOA was extremely friendly and helpful, the indoor pool was super, and we loved our stay. If you're visiting the area, stay here! read more

This was a great campground in a nice little town. The people at the campground were very nice much like every KOA I've ever visited. We had a campsite in the back right on the small river that flows through Dubois. One thing we did have was a small bear that visited the campground in the night. The camp attendent said there weren't any bears around that would bother us so we didn't bother putting our food away after diner. I guess the bear didn't bother us, but he did finish off our diner. There were paw prints and bear scat left in the morning. I would suggest taking bear precautions. We were dumb for not doing so. read more

The location of this campground worked very nicely for us - we were looking for somewhere between Devils Tower and Grand Teton/Yellowstone where we could stop for the night and could get to Grand Teton and Yellowstone pretty easily. Not a lot of shaded tent sites though. The staff was great and the location beautiful. There's also a doughnut shop right around the corner from this place to stop for a quick and delicious breakfast. read more

Excellent landscaping, the campground matches its surroundings. Quiet & peaceful with a gurgling nearby river. Bathrooms were very clean & tidy. Campsites were easy to pull through, large spaces with room for a picnic table & a nicely appointed fire ring. We didn't use it, but the tent sites & cabin sites looked nice. We peeked in the game room & pool, it looked like a fun place for kids. read more

One of the nicer KOAs we have been to. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The heating pump to their shower had just broken but they gave us tokens for showers at the nearby laundromat and worked quickly to have it fixed. When we were able to shower there, we thought the stalls were clean, plentiful and we liked the KOA shower curtains. They had free coffee and tea all day in the gift shop which was a bonus! We enjoyed a nearby scenic bike trail. The WiFi was pretty good for emails and net surfing but not quite as fast as we would like for work. Largish indoor swimming pool and attaches game room. 1+ hrs to the grand Tetons. read more

This is a great campground with very friendly service. We had a spot on the Wind River and the scenery was beautiful. Dubois is a cute little town but if you're headed to Yellowstone or Grand Tetons you will still have about an hour and a half drive. Very clean bathrooms and showers and nice laundry facilities. I was even able to get a book to read from their book exchange while I was there. Very good experience here. I highly recommend Dubois KOA. read more

Since we were delayed making it into Yellowstone, we opted to stop for the night at this campground. What a stroke of luck, as this is easily the prettiest private campground we have stayed in. The Wind River runs along the length of the park, and the grounds are generously covered with large trees. The entire park is as neat as a pin and pleasantly landscaped. The showers were impeccably maintained and in good working order. Since were were visiting in late September the indoor pool was closed for the season. Im sure we would not have been able to pull in late in the summer and be rewarded with a vacancy, however. I would absolutely return. read more

Beautiful scenery, very quiet at night. The deluxe tent sites are huge and grass so you have lots of space to work with. Nice bathrooms and showers, and there's a game room and indoor pool. The staff was friendly, and for a quick place to stop on the way to the Grand Teton National Park, it was perfect. :) read more

We spent 16 days driving cross-country with our 3 kids & therefore spent many nights at various KOA and other campgrounds. This KOA location was by far the nicest and cleanest campground we came across! I only wish we had more time to spend relaxing here, as we spent our days in Yellowstone & Grand Tetons. We surprised our kids by foregoing our tent for two nights and instead enjoying the KOA teepee experience. It was SO much fun (and surprisingly very roomy). Our family highly recommends it. The staff was so friendly and helpful. As a mom, I appreciated the very large (and clean!) laundry room with huge sink for washing dishes. The bathrooms were very well kept (which is not always a staple in KOA sites). We only wished we could have stayed longer. We fell in love with Fred (?) as he made us feel right at home. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!! read more

Fantastic campground! Clean, well maintained and great service. We came in late hours after closing and Rick came out to help us get situated. Another amazing fact is the wi-fi actually works! I think it is the only KOA I have been to this summer where it actually connects and that it performs well!
